About: With over five years of dedicated experience, I've cared for a wide range of furry, feathered, and scaled friends, from energetic puppies and cuddly cats to exotic birds and reptiles. I'm passionate about providing personalized attention, ensuring every pet receives their favorite treats, plenty of playtime, and comfortable routines. Owners consistently praise my reliability and the genuine bond I form with their beloved companions, always leaving them with peace of mind. As I'm currently unemployed, I have complete flexibility to dedicate ample time to your beloved pets. I'm available for drop-in visits, dog walking, and overnight stays at any time, seven days a week. Your pet will receive undivided attention and consistent care throughout the day, with plenty of opportunities for play, exercise, and companionship. I can easily accommodate last-minute bookings and extended care periods. When caring for pets in their own homes, I prioritize maintaining their familiar routines and environment. This includes adhering strictly to feeding times, administering any necessary medications, and engaging in regular walks and play sessions tailored to their energy levels. My goal is to provide a secure and loving atmosphere that minimizes any stress associated with your absence, ensuring your pet feels safe, happy, and well-cared for until your return.

I dont mind rowdy or skittish pups, all the same. I work in the film industry, but the last years have been taking more work out of california (including the shows I used to work on), so currently have ample time while I consider schooling and repivot my focus and drive. I can get adjusted to any abode as long as everything is clearly marked or pointed out for me to handle and use. I just want everyone to feel safe and comfortable

The best pet care starts with keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible. I’ll follow your instructions meticulously. About: Hi! My name is Alexis, and animals have always been one of the biggest joys in my life. I absolutely love dogs, cats, and animals of all kinds. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I currently have two dogs and five cats of my own, so I understand the love, attention, and commitment that pets need every day. If you know me, you know I’m the person who gets excited every time I see a dog on a walk or a cat lounging outside. I’m always the first one asking if I can pet a dog, and I never pass by a stray animal without trying to make sure it has food, water, or a little kindness. My love for animals is genuine, and spending time with them never feels like a job to me. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for my own pets when they’ve been sick. Whenever one of my cats or dogs needed medication, special care, or extra attention, I was usually the one making sure they got what they needed. Because of this, I’m comfortable following care instructions and being patient with pets who may need a little extra support. In addition to my experience with animals, I work in healthcare, which has taught me the importance of responsibility, attentiveness, and compassion. I understand how important it is to pay attention to details, follow routines, and provide quality care—skills that I bring with me when caring for pets as well. I’m often the go-to pet sitter for family and friends whenever they need someone reliable to care for their pets. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, medication administration, or simply keeping your pet company while you’re away, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I know that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. My goal is to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, comfortable, and cared for while giving you peace of mind that they’re in good hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! Pet care fits really naturally into my daily and weekly routine. I currently work night shift, which means my days are usually free and very flexible. Because of that, I have plenty of time and availability to dedicate to walking, drop-ins, and spending quality time with pets during the day. I actually love that my schedule allows me to be fully present when I’m caring for animals—I’m not rushing between work or distracted by a 9–5 schedule. I can give pets my full attention, whether that means morning walks, midday visits, feeding routines, playtime, or just keeping them company and making sure they feel comfortable while you’re away. My routine also makes it easy for me to be consistent and reliable with scheduling. I’m used to balancing responsibilities and working odd hours, so I’m very organized and good at sticking to care instructions and time-sensitive routines. Overall, my flexible daytime availability makes pet care a perfect fit for my lifestyle, and I really enjoy being able to spend that time doing something I genuinely love. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my main priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and as relaxed as possible while their owners are away. I always take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so I can keep things consistent and familiar for them. I approach every visit with patience and calm energy, letting pets warm up to me at their own pace. Whether it’s feeding, walks, litter box cleaning, playtime, or just spending quiet time together, I make sure each pet gets the attention and care they need. I’m also very detail-oriented when it comes to following instructions. If a pet has a specific feeding schedule, medication routine, or special care needs, I make sure everything is done exactly as requested. I have experience administering medications and caring for pets with extra medical needs, so I’m comfortable handling those responsibilities with care and reliability. While I’m in the home, I also make sure everything stays clean, respectful, and as you left it. My goal is not only to care for your pet, but to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands and your home is being respected. Most importantly, I treat every pet like they’re my own—always with love, patience, and attention to their unique personality.

Hector is amazing, he took care of our dog, provided regular updates, and asked great question both ahead of time and during the visit to ensure everything was just as we hoped for. Appreciate him so much. He even noticed it was trash day and took our bins out for us after asking if that was okay. Super awesome!

About: Hi my name is Amy I am currently enrolled in Animal Behavior College and working on becoming a dog groomer. I have experience with young to senior pets. I am in the process of complete my Pet CPR certification. I understand the occasional pet vomiting accident can happen and I will happily clean up after a sickly pet the priority is always their comfort and health. Throughout my life friends, family, neighbors would have me take care of their pets when they needed help to walk them, groom, bathe or pet-sit. I had the wonderful opportunity to work at a animal rescue for senior dogs recently and it’s been life changing. I am currently working part time at a animal rescue and have a very flexible schedule. I am available on the weekdays and the weekend. Growing up I had a variety of pets from dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles, and even a possum at some point. I got my first dog at 6 years old, I would ask my dad everyday after work for a dog until one day he came home with a puppy in his hands and my love for animals never faded since. As we grew together I learned to train/groom/walk her. She taught me the importance of being patient. I am currently 23 and I have had a variety of pets since. I use to volunteer at a pet shop, took animal care classes at a animal shelter, and I currently work at a nonprofit for animal rescue where senior dogs are rescued.

About: What sets me apart is my deep commitment to following your exact routine. I am attentive to detail whether your pet requires a strict medication schedule, extra potty breaks, or highly specific care instructions. I truly love animals and focus on giving them my undivided attention, plenty of affection, and the dedicated time they deserve. I am able to care for animals at least 5 times out of the week for 4-6 hours. Depending on the days required, I do have school at certain times a week. I have hobbies and obligations to do as well. I believe 4-6 hours is time that I do have depending on the day of course as mentioned. I could possibly even spend a full day if needed. Again this depends on the day of the week and month. The reason I can’t take in animals at my own home is because I simply don’t have enough space or else I totally would! Also, the baby of the bunch doesn’t do well with new comers. I feed my cats at least 3 times a day they beg like they haven’t eaten in days I might add. They often let me know when they want things by getting my attention and running to the bowl or to their toys or the door to be let out. They have a litter box with cat pellets so It doesn’t stink up the entire house. Laser pointer sessions and dangling cat toys are their favorite. Yes of course the box the cat trees come in are more fun than the actual tree. Cat trees are replaced often, my cats love to chat with me when I talk they talk back. They love wet food every twice a week with many ingredients. My dad’s dog I take care of while he’s on 1 year vacation loves hiking trails that I usually walk on haha. He prefers the best of the best kinds of dog food won’t eat anything else! He’s a good boy and they’re sometimes good cats since they like to knock things over every once in a while or try and pick at my food when I’m on a quick bathroom break. All in all it’s easy to take care of animals in my opinion my cats were not easy to take care of as kittens they needed a lot done and one of them always had issues with her bladder and glands. She’s better now thanks to God and me for the outrageous bills. I’d do it for every animal if I could but I just don’t have enough resources or money to do so. I do love animals and they deserve joy, a wide environment, and amazing care while they’re living and breathing.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pacoima. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
