“they are wonderful! really nice people who loves pets and it shows :) they took really good care of my senior pup and she loves them too! they always keep me updated with lots and lots of photos and videos which I absolutely love :)”

“Camille was so lovely - had the best experience! Her communication was excellent and she sent the most heartwarming updates and photos during my trip. My pup seemed to have the best time. Would absolutely recommend and will rebook for future trips! Thank you Camille!”

“Nicole is beyond incredible. She is so loving with Ollie and I felt so, so comfortable leaving him with her for a week! He was taken such great care of and I'm so grateful! Thanks again!!”

“My dogs are in good hands with Marcelo and his wife Elaine. They take great care of them and keep me informed throughout my dog’ stay. I feel very comfortable leaving my fur babies in their care and recommend them highly.”

“First time using rover and I don’t really know how my dog would react with other sitter. I was pretty amazed how my dog got along pretty quickly with James. Definitely would recommend James for any pet sitting. He keeps you updated with everything throughout the whole day. For sure I’ll be coming back again here with James. Thanks James!”

“Marc and Lori took great care of my two cats. They sent photos daily and were very easy to reach and communicate with from the initial booking discussion, to making arrangements, and throughout the stay and pickup process. My girls were safe and well cared for during my long trip.”

“Tricia was amazing at taking care of Zion with lots of cuddles and walks! She kept me updated with texts and pictures and didn’t hesitate to reach out with questions. Thank you!”

“This is my 2nd time leaving my girl with Sandi. Penny gave kisses and took off outside. I was gone five days, got amazing photos and a funny report when I picked her up. You can’t help but love and trust this sitter. Thank you, Sandi!!”
“Peter was kind & patient with my dog (she can be a handful). I am so happy I found him. You can be confident in his ability to care for your Rover! (He had my dog for 15 days and she was well feed, coat was healthy and her poops were good). She is cat-like in demeanor but absolutely loved Peter. BIG THANK YOU PETER!”

“I highly recommend booking with Mandie S. We were staying in Burbank where pets were not welcome and I am so glad I was able to book at Mandie's. I knew Celeste and Rocky really enjoyed their stay because Mandie sent me videos of them wrestling in the morning, the way they always do at home. Celeste has allergies and Mandie knew just what to do because her Shit-Zu also has allergies. Mandi gave me a bag of special hypo-allergenic dog food to try at home to see if it will help Celeste as much as it helped her dog! Now that is going above and beyond what most sitters would do! Communication was prompt as was drop off and pick up.”
“Alina was so wonderful. Our regular dogsitter had to cancel on us last minute. Alina came to the rescue and watched our dog for a 4 night stay. We were nervous to leave our senior dog (who has some special needs) with a brand new person. Usually we book an initial one-night stay with a sitter before doing anything more than 24 hours. It turns out we had nothing to be worried about. Alina checked in with us regularly and had very accurate descriptions of how our dog Bedu was settling in. By the end of her stay Bedu was in love. We brought home a very happy pup who was so well looked after, I can happily say she also had a little vacation herself. Alina’s residence is right next door to Petco, which was very convenient for us as we had forgotten to pack some supplies and stopped there on the way.”

“Best boarding experience my pup has ever had! He’s not exactly the easiest boy to handle given how energetic he is, but after our initial meet and greet with Ashlee I had 0 concerns. She told me about the dog rescue organization she created so she definitely will give your pup the care and attention they need. She also took my dog on pack walks and long hikes around Runyon Canyon! She has so much space on her fenced off property and the sweetest dogs of her own that all played well with my pup and helped keep him busy! I genuinely believe he had a better time than I did while I was away. He came home cuddly and so tired so I know he had a blast! Would recommend her to all of my friends and everyone else reading this”

“Mary is our new go to Rover in LA! My pup spent a week with her and Molly (her adorable 6 year old pup) and had the best time! I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing my pup was cared for and loved. Mary has an amazing back yard perfect for our pups to play in and run around. Mary was very thorough in taking instructions on feeding, walking, and care schedules and sent pictures and videos throughout. If you’re looking for a great home for your dog while you’re away or just a daycare place for your dog to run around, Mary (and Molly) are it!! Would give 10 stars if I could!”

“Keely has consistently been the best dog sitter we have ever had. SO sweet to our 5 month old Golden Retriever puppy, creating treats for her and always sending happy smiling updates. It is a vacation for our dog when we go on vacation! We love Keely!”

“Thank you for taking such good care of Pluto today, Christine and Alejandro! I feel more confident leaving him with you for longer periods of time now that we tried it out for a day and he seemed very comfortable with you and came home happy!”

“Thank you Ashton and Jay for taking such good care of Rex. We loved getting updates and photos. It felt like Rex was truly cared for as if he were Ashton and Jay’s own dog. Thanks again!”

“What's not to like! A kind and caring lady that takes her time to understand the animals she cares for, a tidy and cozy home, an adorable little dog named Luccie and a gorgeous loving cat. Stacey was great at sending us daily updates and pictures of our little dog Toby. Most importantly, she was accommodating when we had an overnight layover due to a delayed flight abroad and we needed Toby to stay with Stacey an extra night. Overall, we're very happy and our Toby was in great spirits when we picked him up. We have no hesitation rebooking Stacey in the future.”

Alina was an incredible sitter for my dog moose! he stayed with her over the july 4th holiday- moose is a rescue with some special needs, including fear of fireworks and other dogs. Alina treated moose with care and compassion, and she gave me honest updates if moose was struggling (without me needing to ask). it is such a relief to have found someone who seriously cares about moose and will go the extra mile to make sure he is cared for and that I know how he is doing!! I will definitely be hiring Alina again, and would recommend her to any dog owner, especially those who might need a little extra support.

Bodhi had a great time with Kristina and family! They were able to watch Bodhi on very short notice after our original sitter canceled, and we were so grateful! He had a blast playing in their big backyard, and we loved all the adorable photo updates. Bodhi came home super happy! We'll definitely book with them again!

I found my new boarder for my girls. My former boarder was flaky couldn’t fulfill my dates so I turned to Stephen and David and couldn’t be happier. I went on vacation with not a worry on how they were doing back home. I got many updates and pictures and picked up two very content dogs.

Thank you so much, Kay! You are the best sitter Cupcake and I could ever ask for! I told my daughter that Cupcake was so excited to see you that she ran to you and never looked back. My daughter said that that’s because she really loves, trusts, and missed you! Thank you for trashing, Cupcake so well!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
