Hi, my name is Kate Gray, and I’m a 30- something year old LA native, with more than 10 year experience taking care of dogs. I have fostered dogs ever since I graduated college (go Bruins!), having fostered over 10 dogs with orgs like Wags & Walks, MaeDay Rescue, Pup Culture Rescue, and more. I have also been graced by the heavens with my own dog/child, Remi. She is my best friend, and I rescued her in 2020. Ever since, my life revolves around her, and frankly all dogs, not even just my own! I am consistently the go-to person for my friends, family, and neighbors to watch their dogs, or walk whenever they need, because of my love for dogs, and undeniable dedication to making sure their pup has the best time adventuring! I truly feel it’s always an incredible honor to get to know every dog, and would love to provide my services to you when needed! I'm very open to meeting beforehand to ensure you can trust me with your child, I absolutely understand <3

Kate is excellent in her approach with animals. She has a calm and loving manner that puts even the most anxious of dogs at ease. She has been routinely taking care of my 3 year old 60lb rescue dog for the last few years, both as dog walker and overnight pet sitter; in fact, she’s the only person my dog will let enter our home when we’re not there. Kate’s able to safely manage her on walks (she still pulls despite all the training) and feed/water/administer her medications. My dog absolutely loves her and I can rest easy knowing that when I leave my pup with Kate, she will not only be safe and protected but she will have a blast.

Schedule
My dog is my life, so pet care is simultaneous with self care - constant! I take my dog out for daily hikes around Elysian Park, a daily walk, and sometimes fetch in an open field if she's lucky! Having recently been laid off by my full time at Warner Music, I have been applying my love for dogs and care-taking qualities to watching dogs and open schedule, and would love to extend that to you, my hopeful future client!

I watch the dog the entire time, ensuring they do not eat anything they're not supposed to, have any accidents, and even get in to a lil mayhem. I make sure to keep all needed doors and gates closed, while also being mindful of their need for exercise with plenty of indoor/outdoor playing, light command training for brain stimuli, and a bunch of pets! I make sure to adapt my actions per each pet, all the while ensuring they are safe and cared for.
Pets
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs physically and mentally, based on their individual needs. If your dog is a bit more high-energy, I’d love to take them on a long hike, or even fetch in an enclosed field. If you’re dog is a bit more shy, we can take it easy and take our time smelling all the smells on a long walk. Dogs need to be shown care not just physically, but also emotionally, and I’ll be sure to listen to your dogs needs, tell them how good they are, and make sure to give them as many pets as they want.
