“We have only left our dog with anyone else once, nearly a year after adopting him. It was a disaster because of his severe separation anxiety. When we met Sandi and her husband Jeff the first time, our dog was very relaxed and more friendly and affectionate than he ever is with new people. He seemed very comfortable in their home and their yard and we were relieved to have found a place that we felt comfortable trying again. During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed. I loved the photos she sent, updating us several times over the couple of days we were gone, and we will definitely call again the next time we leave town. What a relief!”

About: I’ve been around dogs and cats for years, starting in college when I regularly walked and cared for my roommate’s American Eskimo. I adopted my own cat six years ago. since she’s meant to be the only child, and I just love cats, I decided to spend some time with the cats who don’t have a family yet :) I now volunteer weekly at Perry’s Place in North Hollywood, where I socialize cats and kittens and help potential adopters find their match. I also have hands-on experience fostering weaned kittens and administering oral medication, so I’m comfortable with pets who need extra care. I currently work from home and will have a job break in august. I’ll be available in the afternoons during the week and on the weekends. I will regularly have a lot of holiday availability as I tend to stay in town. Please don’t hesitate to reach out! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. When I’m in your home, I follow your pet’s existing routine as closely as possible to minimize stress: same feeding schedule, same walking routes, same rules. I double check that doors and gates are locked, keep an eye out for anything that could be a hazard, and never leave a pet unsupervised in an unsafe situation. I will keep in close contact with you throughout the visit, sending photo updates and flagging anything unusual right away, whether it’s a health concern or just a change in behavior. For cats, I’m attentive to litter box needs, fresh water, and any signs of stress or hiding. For dogs, I make sure walks and any yard time are secure and supervised
About: I grew up with cats and have lived with seven over all. I’m no stranger to medical care and know how to give insulin, special food needs, and other medications. I’ve also worked with cats who are aggressive so they are not an issue for me. About: Hi I’m Queena! I have had fur babies of my own since as long as I can remember. Growing up with big dogs I’ve also gotten well versed in training and learning about them. I specialize in bigger breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Akitas and Pit Bulls. Currently I have a special needs pup and he is my world, caring for him has opened me to many new experiences and hardships. I focus a lot on dietary nutrition and care as a sitter , especially for puppies and senior pups. About: I have a lot of cat care experience, from caring for newborn and young kittens in a shelter, doing bottle and syringe feeding to caring for elderly cats who need regular medications. I have three cats at home from ages 9-20. I feed them, play with them, clean their litter boxes, and give medication and supplements to our elderly cat, Lily. I take Lily outside on a leash or in my arms on our back patio as well. Cats are completely different animals from dogs. Those who only have experience with dogs may think their pet care experience will transfer. I know it does not. A cat is a cat, and a dog is a dog.
“Gabriela's catsitting for our cat Riddle was the definition of above and beyond. Our cat is one year old and very energetic. When this meant that she toppled the auto-feeding machine that we had set up for the mornings (multiple times), Gabriela went out of her way to come to our apartment outside of her scheduled check-ins (multiple times) to make sure Riddle still got fed and to fix the machine (ultimately improvising a clever solution to support it involving a scarf and a bookshelf). Needless to say, we will be getting a new auto-feeder but keeping the same catsitter in the future if we can, haha. Gabriela was attentive and helpful and Riddle was head over hills for her, I would absolutely recommend her to look after your pet!”

The backyard is escape-proofed for even very small dogs, and your pet will never be left outside unsupervised. The backyard is big enough for playing fetch & potty breaks. I typically do not leave any animals alone in my home for more than a couple hours at a time, in case I need to run an errand. For sittings: I am very courteous as to keep your home in the condition that it was left in upon arrival. I will put items where I found them & treat your pets and your home with the same care & respect that I would give my own pets & home!

About: I have had cats and dogs and mice and fish my whole life, and have been many people's go-to consultant for care and advice, and for taking care of their pets when they're out of town. I am one of those people that folks say have "a way with animals". Always have, even when I was a toddler. I can administer medications and injections, help with puppy training, and bring your shy pet out of his or her shell. I rescued my own kitties when they were only a week old and syringe and bottle-fed them and reared them up to be sturdy upright feline citizens of the world. I'm good with the "difficult" cases, and a gentle loving companion to the seniors. About: My pet care experience is medium. My family didn’t have pets growing up, so instead of caring for my own fur babies, I would volunteer at the local animal shelters. I have worked in mixed animal shelters, but I mostly worked as a volunteer socializing young kittens to prepare them for living with humans. While I don’t have a dog training credential, I have trained a service dog for a disabled family friend. I regularly pet sit for both dogs and cats. I have since worked with elderly and special needs dogs and cats. If you will trust your pets to me, I will care for them like they are my own. I have a very flexible schedule right now. I do work part time. I am open to bookings Monday-Saturday. I am unavailable on Sundays except in special, prearranged circumstances. My earliest for dog walking and drop ins is 8am and my latest is 8pm. My daily schedule varies, so I need to book at least a few days in advance. On the days I am not working, I offer walks and drop-ins. When I care for pets in my clients home, it is important to me to follow their house rules and their home routine. I listen to my clients about what safety rules to follow and what care to give. During walks and drop-ins, I avoid contact with other animals unless previously specified by the pet parent. I keep dogs and cats on leash or in fenced in back-yards at all times. I am CPR and first aid certified. I have pet poison control and the 24-hour emergency vet phone numbers saved in my phone. I like to know and stick to the pet’s routine in their own home. When it comes to feeding, playtime, walktime, naptime, bedtime, etc. I follow the pet parent guide. I love to take a giant breed dog on long walks, and we can sometimes wrestle and play rough for hours. For Doggy Day Care, I only take dogs on the days I am home all day. I have a giant breed puppy at home, as well as three dog friendly cats, so I can only take animals who I have already cared for and who have met the others in house ahead of time. They must be both dog and cat friendly. I live in an apartment, but we have a back patio with a real grass patch for quick bathroom breaks. Doggy Day Care clients will get walked as much or as little as their breed and health demands, as well. My Doggy Day Care guests should expect to cuddle on the couch while watching TV, take trips to the nearby dog park or the big dog park a few miles away, and do fun training sessions learning useful skills and silly tricks. I can do pick up and drop off, or Doggy Day Care clients can be dropped off and picked up by the pet parent. In my house, dogs and cats are allowed on beds, couches, chairs, anywhere except the counters and table, really. We are a childfree, non-smoking household. We are already fairly puppy-proofed, with a secure back patio the dogs are never left alone on. Boarding clients can expect much the same as my Doggy Day Care guests, with the caveat that I may need to leave for part time work or to run errands or go to appointments. I never leave boarded dogs home alone for more than 9 hours in a day, and often they won’t be left alone at all. As such, they must be trained enough to be either in a crate or private room during the time I am away. Boarded dogs will never be left alone in the same room as a dog or cat not from their own household. They will always be either in a crate (provided by pet parent) or in a private room with water, food for those free fed, and a comfy bed.

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was little and have been around them my entire life. I grew up with a Rottweiler, a Lab, and two Goldendoodles, so I’m pretty comfortable with dogs of all sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I worked at a veterinary office for a little over a year, have helped friends with training, and am constantly dog sitting for people in my life because I genuinely love being around dogs! During the 2 days and nights we were away, we were certain he would need to be given CBD or tranquilizers to keep him calm, but he didn't need them! He missed us but did not exhibit the behavior he had before and Sandi and Jeff said that he was happy at his chosen place in the window or on his bed in front of the fireplace, and responded to their affection. I can't say how relieved we are to have found a solution for our occasional needs to visit places where he can't come with us. Sandi made us feel confident that she could handle his anxiety, and she clearly made him feel more at ease and relaxed.
