“Janelle was very responsive and able to accept a last minute booking. Unfortunately, we were not able to keep our appointment with her but definitely keeping her in mind for the future.”

“Jessica was amazing for our dog walks! She is very responsible, and very communicative. We were nervous as this was our first time using Rover or a dog walker that wasn’t family, but Jessica helped to make all of our worries go away quickly. She was very kind and warm with our two dogs, and they warmed up to her right away - even one of our dogs that can sometimes be a little scared around new people. They will definitely miss their walks with Jessica! We would absolutely recommend Jessica, and she will be the first one we look for the next time we need some help.”

“Julian is amazing! My high-energy puppy loves to walk with him :) My dog had some diarrhea in the house and he cleaned it up for her. I really appreciate his kindness. I will definitely re-book again! :)”

“Ayvan has been great with Goldie! She's prompt at responding and picking up Goldie, she's kind, and Goldie is so happy to see her. I really appreciate Ayvan's care for my pup.”

“Denise has been amazing with Stella and Milo. They have lots of energy and she has been great to adapt to their own unique personalities. Stella is 9 1/2yo and started limping one night and she let me know right away sending me videos and pictures. She always sends great updates and pictures which makes my shifts so much better!”

“She did an amazing job taking Valkyrie on walks, being on time and communicating regularly updates with pictures, videos and msgs. I would highly recommend her to anyone. Valkyrie is looking forward to her next walks with Lexy. Thank you again.”

“This was the first time with Trinity and she did a great job! Came when expected. Walked Bella, sent pictures and texted how it went afterwards. I feel very confident leaving my girls with her.”

“Graham is the best! My dog doesn’t like other dogs and can be a handful, but Graham is so good with him and my puppy always comes back happy and tired from his walks. Graham is such a calm and kind dog walker, it gives me so much peace of mind knowing my dog is in good hands.”

“I have No words for how Gabi took care of my little foot! She went above and beyond for a full week for me! Did exactly what she said she would do! She sent me pics and updates everyday! Was more then reliable to me and the complete ease it gave to my heart, I was truly able to enjoy my vacation! I WILL 100% REBOOK!! Xoxoxox”

“Great communication with lots of pictures of bacon on walks. She really took care of him like he was her own dog. I will definitely be requesting more walks from Alyssa.”

“Alexandra and Sergei took such good care of our dog, Paddi. They loved him like their own pup and took him for nice, long walks. He was safe and happy with them and had a wonderful time. We’ll definitely use them again soon!”

About: I've had experience caring for my own dogs and pet-sitting for friends, neighbors, and families! I am very patient with animals with behavioral issues, my own dog has anxiety and I understand that it takes time to build trust with new people. I'm always happy to play, give lots of love and special attention. I am staying in California for the summer between semesters, so my schedule is completely open for caring for pets. I'm happy to spend as much time as possible with animals and I'd love to be able to help people out that want the best for their pets! I make sure that the pets get enough exercise/time outside, that they're getting enough to eat and drink, and going to the bathroom regularly. I will clean up after any messes that they make, I know how anxiety or excitement can affect pets. I've had experience giving medication to dogs before, so I understand the schedule of that, if needed.
About: I’ve always had a pet in the home since I was a kid, so pet care comes naturally to me. I’ve also been able to take care of neighbors cats and dogs while they’re on vacation. I really have a soft spot in my heart for the critters and it carries over into my treatment and quality of my pet care services. I’m currently living without a pet for the first time in my life right now, and I miss him very much, but that just means I have more love to give to your pet!!! I have open availability so I can be there for your critter at a moment’s notice. Basic Care Feeding: Providing food and water at scheduled times. Bathroom Breaks: Taking the dog outside for potty breaks or cleaning up accidents. Exercise: Walking the dog, playing fetch, or providing other physical activities. Administering Medications: Giving any prescribed meds as directed by the owner. Emotional & Social Care Companionship: Spending time with the dog so they don’t feel lonely or anxious. Playtime: Engaging the dog in fun, stimulating activities. Affection: Petting, cuddling, and giving attention as appropriate to the dog’s personality. Safety & Monitoring Monitoring Behavior: Watching for signs of illness or distress. House Safety: Ensuring the dog doesn’t get into anything dangerous or destructive. Secure Environment: Making sure gates, doors, and leashes are secure to prevent escape. Household Duties (if staying in the owner's home) Light Cleaning: Cleaning up after the dog (e.g., picking up poop, wiping paws). Mail & Plants: Sometimes watering plants or bringing in mail if agreed upon.
About: Hi There! I’m Haydee, and dogs & cats have always been a huge part of my life. From growing up with many to caring for my own dogs and cats over the years, I truly understand how important they are to your family. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime at the park, or just cuddling on the couch, I love getting to know each dog’s unique personality and making sure they feel happy, loved, and safe while you are away. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I’m available most days after 8am to 2pm, and am also available during the evening time. I am also available to stay overnight depending on the dates and with prior notice. I would be happy to visit your home to check on your pets, so they feel safe in their own space. Unfortunately I currently can not care for your pet in my home.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Stevenson Ranch
This is our second time booking Jessica for walks with our two dogs, and we’ll definitely be booking with her again! She’s incredibly reliable, professional, and communicative. Our dogs absolutely adore her and are always excited to see her, which gives us so much peace of mind. It’s such a relief knowing they’re in great hands when we’re not home. Highly recommend Jessica to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!

Caleb was exceptional from booking to taking care of our dog, Sumo! Caleb responds very quickly, which I appreciate. He is very accommodating and kept us updated with our dog throughout the entire time! He played fetch with our dog, and we couldn’t be happier! I will definitely be hiring him again, outstanding job! 👏 Thank you Caleb!!

Rachel is a caring, attentive and very easygoing person to deal with everything she promised to do, She did, and my dog absolutely loves her. I would recommend her anytime. This was the first time I entrusted anyone either my dog and they hit it off from the get go.

One of our dogs, Othello, struggles with intense resource guarding and is very uncomfortable around strangers. Caroline was incredibly patient and kind from the very beginning. She went above and beyond by extending our meet‑and‑greet into multiple sessions so Othello could gradually feel safe with her before we officially booked her services. This was our first official booking with Caroline, and it went very well. While we were present, we could clearly see Othello beginning to trust her. He allowed Caroline walk him in our neighborhood, then into our backyard, played with her, and even took treats from her—huge milestones for him. These may seem like small things for well‑adjusted dogs, but for Othello, they were a big deal. We truly appreciate Caroline’s patience, understanding, and willingness to work at Othello’s pace. We plan to continue working with her so both Othello and Caroline can become fully comfortable with each other for future situations when we are away, and she can care for him in our home, along with our other dog, Juno.

Deanna did an excellent job caring for and walking Polo. She followed all of our instructions and sent plenty of photos reassuring that everything was going well. She handled every situation confidently, and Polo even got a new toy! We’d definitely contact Deanna again to take care of Polo :)

Jake did a great job with our crazy hyper dog and also our super cautious dog. He let our cautious dog come up to him whenever he wanted and sniff around him, allowing him to feel safe, without feeling the need to make the dog like him (which has been a huge mistake others have made with our dog in the past). So he is one of those people who has very good dog energy, if you have a timid/scared dog that needs someone like that around. He also kept our crazy dog busy with ball throwing the whole visit. We were really happy with him overall. :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
