Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. About: I have always had dogs growing up and frequently took charge of their needs as their primary caregiver, scheduling vet visits, feeding, bathing, & walking our dogs. I started working as a dog bather in January 2022 and even though (as of a few months ago) I have since transitioned careers I still miss working with dogs (also cats and rabbits) and interacting with them on a daily basis. I am a proven gentle handler with a knack for big and small dogs as well as cats and rabbits. I was formally a dog bather but I frequently assisted the groomers in handling the other animals like cats, rabbits, and Guinea pigs during shave downs and haircuts. I have learned so much about handling and husbandry from experienced groomers who supervised me in the salon and almost became a groomer myself. I love animals and I love working with them. I was known to be the bather that took on the large and difficult dogs due to my ability to handle them tenderly and with immense patience. Some of the favorite animals I miss from work are Charlotte and Maggie, the two Rottweilers who were so bad that the groomer used the be the only one who could do them and only with the muzzle on. I was able to not only fully bathe and dry them with a double motor blow dryer, but I was also able to eventually transition them off the muzzle with kind words and encouragement to the sweet girls. I also greatly miss the darling puppy Karlotta who I bathed every time she had come in since her very first bath. She was very nervous at first but soon started walking in like she owned the place. That is the main reason I want to work with animals again, to be able to say that I helped a dog or animal in some way without having to use aggression, dominance, or force. Currently, I am working a full-time job, from 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday. If the animal is in my home for boarding or day care I can provide walks on my breaks and lunch since I work from home. I have a 5 year old Siberian Husky in my home who is in crate trained and who loves other dogs. The introductions between pets would be slow with safety being the paramount factor. She would be in the crate in the living room when unsupervised and the pet would stay in my room if a client needed me to provide care for them in my home. I have a force-free handling philosophy.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life, but my biggest experience comes from raising my two Blue Heelers from puppies. My oldest is 15 years old and my other is 7, so I’ve had years of experience learning how different dogs can be at every stage of life. Blue Heelers are smart, energetic, and definitely have their own personalities, so raising them has taught me a lot about patience, consistency, exercise, and understanding a dog’s individual needs. I’m comfortable with high energy pups that want to play and stay active, but I also know how important it is to slow things down and give older dogs the extra attention and patience they need. What I think sets me apart is that I don’t see dog sitting as just feeding a dog and taking them outside. I actually enjoy getting to know each dog their personality, their routine, what makes them comfortable, and what makes them happy. About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and caring for them is something I'm truly passionate about. To me, pets aren't just pets; they're family. I'm a lifelong pet owner and currently have two girl dogs, a Yorkie-Terrier-Chihuahua and a Yorkie-Shih Tzu, along with three boy cats: one gray-and-black tabby and two orange tabbies. About: I regularly dog-sit for family friends ranging from small, medium, and large dogs (most experience with Chihuahuas, Terriers, Shih Tzus, German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, and Spaniels)! It all honestly depends on the pets and their needs, but I am completely flexible! When I go to a client's home, I take extra care to respect their property and only go into delegated areas. My job is to care for the pet and maintain the homeowner's trust, so if a mess is made or an accident happens, I go the extra mile to inform the client immediately and take care of it as soon as possible. “The only difficult part of writing this review is finding enough good things to say about Elena. Every interaction, from my first communication to picking up Puck after his stay, conveyed both a love of animals and professionalism. We met first in a local park for a meet and greet, where Elena and I chatted and her daughter played with Puck. I felt really comfortable with Elena’s easy manner and the questions she asked to ensure that Puck would be happy with them. I left in confidence when I dropped Puck off, and the photos she sent made it clear that Puck was happy and well cared for. Her daughter makes for a wonderful added bonus; Elena told me when I picked him up that her daughter made a fort for them, and it was clear in the pics that Puck received lots of play time with his favorite toys. When I picked up Puck after his stay, he was of course happy to see me, but not overcome with nervousness or anxiety. I could see that he felt safe and loved in Elena’s home. When I arrived home, he slipped right back into normal routines without needing decompression time. Thank you, Elena, for providing Puck with a warm and loving home-away-from-home.”

“My husband and I left our shy, sensitive pittie London and his brother Spencer with Laura and Brian for 10 days. It was the the first time we had ever traveled without them, and we were definitely apprehensive. However, from the very first time meeting Laura and Brian, it was manifestly clear that they were the right pair to assume the care of our boys. Brian made such an effort to get to know London, and Laura was there to reassure me. The daily batches of pics attested to how much fun the boys had. It truly was one 10 day long fiesta for them. Even London, who takes a while to acclimate to new situations, found his friends a few days in. In fact, my husband and I were almost worried that the boys would not want to jump in the car and head home with us! Thankfully, they still loved us when we retrieved them. We will most assuredly rebook with Laura and Brian the next time we travel!”
“We left our Shiba Inu over a long weekend with Stacey. Our experience was wonderful. The house is great and Stacey’s whole family was so accommodating and loving to our dog. The back yard is large and all fenced in, and our dog was allowed both in and outside. Stacey spent lots of time playing fetch with our dog, taught her a new trick ( to lay down), and spent lots of time giving her pets and cuddles. This was the first time we have ever left our dog and we were nervous but Stacey sent us so many pictures and updates, and she really took care to make us feel at ease. We were able to have a nice vacation away and our dog was safe and loved while we were gone. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!!”
