About: Hi! I’m KeLeigh, and I’m passionate about providing loving, dependable care for both people and pets. After years of working in caregiving and pet care, I’ve had the privilege of caring for many wonderful animals and building lasting relationships with their families. My two dogs, Abby (a 5-year-old Brittany Spaniel-Lab mix) and Burrow (a 12-year-old Border Collie-Lab mix), are friendly, playful, and love making new friends. Whether it’s fetch, tug-of-war, walks, or simply relaxing together, they help create a welcoming environment for visiting pets. I am dedicated to providing every pet in my care with a safe, loving, and enriching experience—treating them as if they were part of my own family. In addition to pet care, I have been providing professional caregiving services since 2021. Through my work caring for others, I have developed strong skills in patience, attentiveness, reliability, communication, and individualized care. I bring those same qualities to every pet I care for, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, companionship, and supervision they deserve. For in-home visits, I help pets remain comfortable in their familiar surroundings while maintaining their normal routine. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any special care requirements. Whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or extended care, I provide regular updates and communication so you can feel confident your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. This service is especially beneficial for pets who experience anxiety in new environments or simply do best staying in the comfort of their own home. As a self-employed professional working from home, I have the flexibility to integrate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. This allows me to dedicate the time and attention necessary to ensure that each pet receives personalized care and supervision throughout the day. My schedule enables me to cater to the specific needs of your pet, whether it’s for walks, playtime, or providing comfort while you’re away. Being at home allows me to maintain a consistent presence, ensuring your pet feels secure and well-cared for in a safe, nurturing environment. Caring for Pets in Your Home: For in-home visits, we ensure your pet remains comfortable in their familiar surroundings while receiving the same level of care. We follow your instructions closely to maintain your pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special care requirements. Whether it’s a brief drop-in or an extended stay, we provide consistent updates and communication so you can feel assured your pet is well cared for. This service is ideal for pets who may experience anxiety in new environments or for those who do better in their own home.

Cat is very trustworthy, punctual, and we plan on booking her again for the next time we travel. Highly recommend hiring Cat to take care of your fur babies!

About: I’ve spent nearly my whole life around animals, and I genuinely can’t imagine it any other way. Almost 30 years working with horses — training, rehabbing, and caring for them — taught me patience, how to read an animal’s body language, and how to stay calm when they’re not. That instinct carries straight over to dogs, cats, and just about anyone with fur. When your pet is with me, they’re not an obligation on a checklist. They’re company. I’ll keep their routine steady, give them the attention and exercise they need, and send you updates so you’re never wondering how they’re doing. Whether it’s an anxious rescue who needs a gentle hand or a high-energy goofball who needs a real walk, I’ve got them. Acton/Santa Clarita area. Reach out and tell me about your crew — I’d love to meet them. I work from home, so pets aren’t squeezed into the margins of my day — they’re part of it. My schedule is flexible, which means I can match your pet’s routine instead of forcing them into mine: morning walks, midday check-ins, feeding times, all of it stays consistent with what they’re used to. Between my own animals and my work with horses, caring for animals is already woven into every day. Adding your pet to that rhythm isn’t a stretch — it’s just one more member of the crew. I’m around throughout the day to keep an eye on things, so your pet gets steady attention rather than a quick drop-in and gone. In your home, my first priority is keeping your pet’s world exactly as they know it — same feeding spots, same walk routes, same routine. I don’t rearrange things or cut corners. I make sure doors, gates, and yards are secure before anything else, because a lot of trouble starts with a gate that didn’t latch. I keep your keys and access details private and treat your home with the same respect I’d want for mine. With animals themselves, decades of reading horses taught me to watch body language closely — I can tell when a pet is anxious, overstimulated, or not feeling right, and I adjust instead of pushing. New environments and unfamiliar dogs get introduced slowly and on the pet’s terms. I keep an eye on hazards most people miss: food left out, toxic plants, an open trash can, a fence gap. You’ll hear from me with updates and photos so you always know your pet is safe and settled. If something seems off health-wise, I’ll reach out right away rather than wait — and I’ll always have your vet’s info on hand just in case.

About: Hi there! My name is Lukasz Paul and any dog I’ve met I have loved like my own! Growing up, I had my German Shepherd, and my Belgian Malinois. I also helped my parents with their pet sitting business in Santa Clarita. From pet sitting, long or short walks, boarding and of course taking care of our own pets, I’ve got experience with it all! I’ve also administered medication to dogs of all ages and sizes. Our pups were rescued as well, with little training, so teaching them tricks was always a fun time! I’m working, so the days I added that are available, have to be either requested Later at night or very early in the morning. My work schedule does change week by week. So it does depend on my schedule on when I am available. My main job, at home is to show love and appreciation towards my dog. When she does something good, I treat her. Doing this will help her to understand me better.

About: I have always had animals since I was a kid and I have always loved them! I love their unconditional connection with us. I have senior dog care and medication administering experience. I am trying something new in my career path, which will hopefully include your pet. I want to work with animals more and turn it into a career. I can't wait to get my steps in with your pet! I have an open schedule at this time. I'm looking to fill my week with regular walks, visits, and boarding. I have three daughters. My oldest actually works as a pet bather with Petsmart and my two younger daughters love animals as much as I do......I've been told by my oldest that I'm not allowed at the animals shelter anymore. 🤣🤣🤣 I live in a mobile home with a fenced yard. I have four of my own fur babies that are welcoming to new visitors. Depending on weather we may go for walks at the park and visit the dog park or play in the backyard or even the house with toys. But as long as it's not too hot or raining we hit the park and dog park.

I truly love dogs and enjoy spending time with them, whether it's going for walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. I recently graduated from college, which means I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of free time to dedicate to caring for your pets. This allows me to provide reliable attention, supervision, and companionship to ensure your dog feels comfortable and cared for while you're away. I understand that pets are family, and I will treat your dog with the same love, kindness, and care that I would give my own. My goal is to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and loved at all times. I am responsible, trustworthy, and committed to providing a positive experience for both you and your pet. About: I love all animals even the initially intimidating ones. I know how to read animals signals and access their comfort level. I give each pet the time it needs to get comfortable so that I can establish a relationship of trust. I'm nether a cat person or a dog person or a tortoise person for that matter, I love all pets equally. I've taken care of virtually every kind of house, pet (including my aunt's chinchilla) thank you got something I haven't seen before? Bring it on. I'm ready for it all. I don't consider taking care of pets to be at shore or work. I take care of them because they take care of me. They keep me calm and grounded, even when things are at their most chaotic. First things first, I treat each animal as if it were my own. I make sure to give each pet the attention it deserves. Upon first introduction and the patients to let it get comfortable when needed. From there I'm happy to take care of any special requests you might require for your pet.

About: I've had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime. I also have 2 years of pet sitting experience for some of my family friends! I have trained my two dogs and can spend hours playing with animals! I am currently unemployed, and searching for work, so my schedule is flexible, and I am looking for ways to make some extra money! I thought this would be an excellent way. I have an apartment, but it's well kept and has plenty of space for animals to play around. There is also a grassy area outside for dogs to play. As for a clients home, I will always make sure to keep it clean and avoid touching anything that isn't meant for me or your beloved pet.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Trinity! She is such a caring person and so knowledgeable about animals. I was really worried about leaving our dog because she was just getting over vestibular disease. Trinity went about and beyond to take care of Bella even sleeping downstairs with her since she couldn’t make it up the stairs. She made sure we were aware of Bella’s condition the whole weekend and sent updates regularly. This is the second time we’ve used her for an overnight booking and both times went great! We’ve also have loved having her come by for walks now and again too. Highly recommended!

What impressed us even more was our dogs. They were completely relaxed and acting like we had never left, which tells me they were well cared for, comfortable, and got plenty of attention while we were away. FAQs for House Sitting - Humphreys

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Humphreys on Rover is $43.05 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of September 2026, there are 11,048 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Humphreys. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Humphreys walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Humphreys maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Humphreys choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
