I have been taking care of both dogs and cats for over 20 years. Animals have always been very important to me, and I understand how they are a piece of your family. Folks always ask if you are a dog or cat person, and I always have to say both! I truly believe that pets deserve to be treated with love and respect, just like other friends and family. I have experience with administering medication, caring for seniors, and babies in both cats and dogs. I am the go to person for most of my neighbors, friends, and family members to support their pets when they are traveling or need support. In fact, I have asked to do that since I was 8 years old! I have two pups of my own which I love dearly have taken care of them since they were puppies. I have learned training techniques specifically using positive reinforcement for dogs. I will ensure to positively reinforce any training techniques you have set in place. I can guarantee that your pets will be treated like my own family while I support you in their wellbeing.

Jaclyn is one of the most kind and caring souls you’ll meet! She is fantastic with animals and treats each one of them as if they are her own. My two senior dogs love spending time with her, especially. Sometimes I think they are disappointed when they see me coming to take them home! Couldn’t recommend a better person to take care of your fur baby!
I have known Jaclyn for over 10 years, and during that time I have not only witnessed her being loving, attentive, and responsible to her own two dogs - but to my two dogs as well. Every interaction Jaclyn has had with my two pups has been met with patience and consideration. One of my dogs was a senior rescue with some behavioral work ons, and Jaclyn was able to adjust her playing style to meet her energy level and physical needs (she had arthritis). There is no doubt in my mind that Jaclyn is able to meet the unique needs of other family’s pets and give them the care they deserve!
Jaclyn is one of the most caring and empathetic people I know. She is our go-to pet sitter, especially for our anxious dog Cookie. Cookie loves and trusts her and her partner, so we know she’s in good hands. We especially appreciate her frequent updates and photos. Jaclyn is very conscientious about preferences and boundaries we might set and asks permission about any changes to routine. She is very gentle and patient with any anxiety or rowdiness with my dog and her own two dogs. You will be incredibly grateful to trust Jaclyn with your pets!

Schedule
I am currently working from home and finished working by the early afternoon. I can support via morning, lunch, and evening/night hours. I am able to switch my schedule around as needed to help support.

Safety, trust & environment
In my own home, we have a fenced yard and a dog proof home. We have our own trained dogs that get along well with others. If it is decided to have them stay with us in our own home, we would ensure that they all get along well before doing so. Eyes will always be on them, and they will hopefully fit right into the family! I will ensure to learn about your pet's routine, training words, and always request your emergency vet for them to have on file. I always have emergency vet hotlines in my phone, just in case. Eyes will be on them at all times when I am supporting. For walks, I will ensure to learn your training words for the dogs and will reinforce the training you have in place. I will always make sure to stay on the sidewalk or in a safe area for the dog. My attention will be on your pet and their behaviors and reactions while on a leash and walking.

Understanding the needs of the pets' wellbeing is crucial. I will make sure to get an understanding of what your pet prefers. I believe stimulation, play, and movement are very helpful for creating a physically and mentally stimulating environment. Whether it is catch, a puzzle, or a walk, I am happy to provide the best options for you pet.
