Hello! My name is Shayna — thank you for considering me to care for your pet! :) I’ve worked with animals my entire life and have spent the last seven years focused exclusively on dog training. I previously worked at a board-and-train facility where I led both behavioral and obedience programs. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, including those with reactivity or anxiety. I’m confident handling reactive dogs, and my own dogs are trained to calmly walk away from conflict. If your dog needs extra time to feel comfortable, I do slow, structured introductions over the first couple of days. You’ll receive daily photos and videos, and your dog will be treated like part of the family. My dogs get along well with dogs big and small. Small dogs often enjoy walking alongside one of my calm, larger dogs for extra confidence.

Benny had an amazing stay at Shayna's! She is very knowledgeable about dogs in general, and is especially skilled when it comes to dogs with reactivity issues (my Benny can be reactive and Shayna's approach was thoughtful and well planned, he had a great stay!) Shayna has dogs of her own and they helped Benny adapt. Her two large ones are gentle giants! I was honestly impressed with their calm demeanor, and it was so helpful for my Benny (who's a fairly big dog as well). Shayna also sent videos, and checked in about his eating and treats. I was very, very pleased with every aspect of Benny's stay with Shayna.
Scooby had a fantastic time during his stay at Shayna’s home. She’s a lovely lady who took the time to meet me and Scooby for a meet-and-greet. I was completely at ease knowing that she would take excellent care of my furry friend while I was away. Throughout his stay, she regularly sent me photos and videos of Scooby. I would definitely leave him with her in the future.
Nova had a great time with Shayna and her dogs. We really appreciate the communication and daily photos/videos. Shayna is really knowledgeable about dog behavior which made us feel comfortable leaving our new puppy with her. During her time with Shayna’s dogs Nova became more socialized with dogs including big dogs which use to intimidate her. We would definitely use Shayna again next time we need a dog sitter.
Shayna did a wonderful job taking care of Maru and was so patient given my dog’s high fear and anxiety with strangers. She was very knowledgeable and gave us great pointers. She also sent us a ton of pictures and videos throughout our trip, which helped ease our anxiety!
Shayna was amazing! Not only was she able to watch our puppy and give her all the love and snuggles, she helped us lay the foundation for training our doggy, establishing healthy routines, habits and groundwork to improve our dogs separation anxiety. Throughout our whole week trip away she was extremely communicative and sent many many pictures of our little puppers the whole time without fail. Definitely recommend any and all dog owners to book with Shayna, we know we’ll most certainly be booking with her again for any and all other services we may want in the future!

Schedule
I work from home, so your pet will have consistent company and supervision throughout the day. They'll get regular walks and plenty of playtime, so your pet feels comfortable and cared for all day.

Safety, trust & environment
My yard is fully fenced with brick walls, and all outdoor time is supervised. I also have crates in several sizes on hand to ensure each dog has a safe, comfortable space if needed.

A typical day
Each day includes peaceful neighborhood walks, backyard fetch, and fun training sessions with treats and toys. I tailor activities to each dog’s energy level, and many go home having learned something new, including better leash manners.
