About: Hi! My name is Mary, and caring for animals is truly part of who I am. With over 15 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of pets’ needs, personalities, and routines. I provide a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pet will feel comfortable and cared for, just like at home. I am patient, attentive, and very detail-oriented, always following your instructions carefully to ensure your pet’s well-being. I have experience with both dogs and cats, including administering oral medication when needed. I also enjoy keeping pets active, happy, and emotionally secure. For me, this is more than a job—it’s something I do with love and dedication. I treat every pet as if they were my own. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give your pets the time, attention, and care they deserve. I am available on weekdays and weekends, and I can adapt to your pet’s routine to ensure they feel comfortable and well cared for. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where pets feel secure. I carefully follow all instructions, maintain routines, and ensure your pet is always supervised, safe, and treated with genuine care.

About: I am a very patient pet lover with 10+ years experience working with dogs! I have been pet sitting for around 5 years now through word of mouth and am excited to build a bigger community on Rover. I am comfortable and experienced being around all dogs ranging from 5lbs to over 100lbs, I am willing and able to adapt to any of your pets needs. This includes (but is not limited to) simple tasks such as feeding, lots of playing, walking, exercising, following specific schedules etc. but also includes administering medicine, simple training and any kind of clean up! (I’ve seen it all!) At the end of the day I really look forward to bringing you and your pet as much comfort as possible while you’re apart:) I have 2 dogs of my own and worked with dogs that deal with anxiety and some reactive behaviors so I feel well prepared to be there for all babies. I also understand how meeting a new care giver can be scary for both the parent and our furry friends so any adjustment aid such as meeting before hand or going over their daily schedule I’m more than happy to do!:) Can’t wait to connect and care💕 I am a recent college grad and have most of this summer free!! I am happy to take on any work and look forward to being your reliable pet sitter:) My schedule is currently open! I care for pets through love, play and structure. Our fur babies won’t get away with anything but also need to be given understanding, lots of love and care. When it comes to caring for other peoples pets I make sure to give extra care as I’m sure they’re missing their family. I prefer to meet all families and pets beforehand to insure safety and a good fit!!
“We hired Kimberly numerous times to watch over our big guy, Shadow, and there’s a reason we keep re-booking her! She’s very reliable and gives our boy so much attention while she’s with him. Highly recommend Kimberly for anyone who wants to make sure their pets are in capable and loving hands :)”

About: I've worked with special needs animals all my life from tri-pawds, deaf, and blind animals to those with dietary restrictions, behavioral issues, anxiety, and sensitivity to stimuli. Currently I am also employed by a farm that has working breads for dogs and barn cats. I work with a changing and flexible schedule and three days off per week, leaving me plenty of time for checking in on your furry friend. My animals have special dietary needs along with special care for allergies and sensitive skin. They receive joint supplements, specially vetted foods, special bathing requirements, and seasonal medications. I'm well versed at the care special needs animals require because of this.
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember and grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets—fish, birds, cats, and dogs. Caring for animals has always come naturally to me, and over the years I’ve gained experience with pets of all ages and personalities. I’ve dog‑sat for seniors up to 18 years old and cared for kittens as young as 2 weeks, giving each one the patience, gentleness, and attention they need. I have reliable transportation and a flexible schedule, making it easy for me to accommodate visits, walks, and last‑minute needs. Whether your pet is tiny, energetic, elderly, or somewhere in between, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. My schedule is very flexible—I'm an actor, and most of my work is remote from home. That means I’m able to pop in and out throughout the day for visits, feedings, playtime, or whatever your pet needs. It gives me plenty of freedom to provide consistent, reliable care without long gaps between check‑ins. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and stress‑free as possible. I follow your instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, medication needs, playtime preferences, or specific quirks your pet has. I make sure they get plenty of attention, enrichment, and comfort so they feel safe while you’re away. I also keep your home tidy, respect your space, and provide regular updates so you always know how your pet is doing.
About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. They had cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you now! *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.
“Great experience with Graham. He was punctual, dependable, and wonderful with our older dog. He had no trouble with the medication schedule, and our pup was super comfortable with him. Will definitely book again”

About: I've had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime. I also have 2 years of pet sitting experience for some of my family friends! I have trained my two dogs and can spend hours playing with animals! I am currently unemployed, and searching for work, so my schedule is flexible, and I am looking for ways to make some extra money! I thought this would be an excellent way. I have an apartment, but it's well kept and has plenty of space for animals to play around. There is also a grassy area outside for dogs to play. As for a clients home, I will always make sure to keep it clean and avoid touching anything that isn't meant for me or your beloved pet.
“Our shy cat Minnie loved when Danielle came over to take care of and pamper her :) Danielle was also very responsive and always sent pictures and a cute video with her update.”

“Second time using Allisa! She’s such a great sitter. Very friendly, commutative, on time and our dogs love her. She also follows instructions to a T and takes lots of photos during her visits. She’s definitely our go-to sitter!”
About: I have owned animals my entire life including dogs, cats, horses, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have helped take care of even more including a bunny, a goat, a pig, chickens, a leopard gecko, and a bearded dragon. I have experience with dogs ages 0-12+, and cats ages 0-16. I also have experience giving dogs medication including insulin shots. I have additional time between caring for my own animals, and animals that I am taking care of for family/friends to help out whoever needs it on days that I don’t also have work! I always treat every animal I come in contact with like they are my own, and I do everything I can to make sure that every animal is taken care of to the best of my ability. Even if I am just doing a drop in or a walk, I will use any amount of time I have to build trust with your pets.

“I needed someone asap to check in on my Charlie and Ernestina was kind enough to do so. I took a chance and I was not disappointed! She is amazing and took good care of my Charlie while I was at work. She sends pictures to reassure me that he’s doing well. Thank you, Ernistina!”

About: At about age 9 I grew up with Great Danes. Since then that's when I fell in love with the sweetest big giants. I learned everything from giving them their vitamins, bathing, even taking proper care after surgeries. I'm a very out-doorsy person. I am a stay at home mother and my children have the same love for animals. I live in a home with a gated backyard. I'm perfectly fine with your dog inside. I also have big doggy friendly grass area in front and a nice neighborhood to walk around. I do have an animal friendly French Bulldog named Boba and an outdoor Great Dane, Duke. I take care of what I need to at home. My kids are on Summer break until mid Aug. As long as I get notified ahead of advance, I have plenty of time with you’re furry friends. I have a fenced backyard as well as playful fur babies to keep them company. I also prefer and don’t mind your fur baby inside my house under my close supervision.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pico. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
