About: I have two years of experience caring for pets and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m responsible, patient, and attentive to each pet’s individual needs. I can help with feeding, walks, playtime, basic care, and keeping pets company while their owners are away. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention and affection. I currently work around 30–35 hours a week, but I’m happy to provide pet care around my work schedule. I’m available for drop-in visits, walks, feeding, playtime, and check-ins before or after work and on my days off. I provide pet care in my client’s home, where pets can stay comfortable in their familiar environment. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, and make sure pets have fresh food, water, attention, and a clean and safe space.
“Rachel is great! My dogs can be pretty rambunctious, and she was super patient with them which I really appreciate. I also loved all the updates and photos she sent, as well as being super communicative with her visits.”

About: I’m a reliable, attentive, and caring dog walker and sitter who treats every pet like my own. I prioritize safety, consistency, and making sure dogs feel comfortable, happy, and well-exercised. I’m great with different temperaments, follow instructions closely, and communicate clearly with owners. Whether it’s a quick walk or an overnight stay, I make sure pets are well cared for and owners feel fully at ease. I work in the restaurant business waiting tables at night. So I’m free during the day whenever someone needs me to walk their dog or come over to let them out. Always on time. Or even a little bit early. Very patient willing to walk dogs and let them out when needed. Non aggressive with the pets
About: I love caring for and protecting all animals; dogs, cats, other mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and/or insects. Essentially if it eats, breaths and needs maintenance, I am able to take care of it. I've had several dogs in my life, from small to large sized dogs. I have also owned a couple exotic pets that required unique needs and diets. I have no issue with cleanup or waste removal that may be needed while caring for any extended family member. Not having any other obligations other than "Rover" (besides my GF) I am able to dedicate my full attention on the services I am providing to care for the loved ones I am entrusted to. I have experience and I am able to train, if requested.
About: I’ve been taking care of dogs for over 6 years and I’ve been taking care of cats for over 4 years. I’ve dog sitters for family, friends, and friends of friends. I’ve done house visits and overnight stays. So I’m very familiar with taking care of pets. Pet care fits easily into my routine since I only work three days a week, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for animals on my days off (4 days a week). I enjoy planning my days around feeding, playtime, and walks, and I always make it a priority to give pets the attention and comfort they need. I’m able to adjust my schedule to keep them happy and cared for. I make sure to follow their usual routines for feeding, playtime, and rest so they feel comfortable and secure. In the past, clients have provided written instructions which make it easy to follow throughout the day. I give them plenty of love and attention, while also respecting any specific instructions from the owner. My goal is always to create a safe, calm environment where pets feel at ease. So if your pet requires specific attention, I am more than capable of following those instructions.

“Hired Amanda to drop by and meet n greet our cat and dogs for an upcoming vacation where the cat has to stay behind. She's absolutely perfect. The animals were interested and engaged immediately. She has a lovely calming demeanor and was comfortable and confident in her role and responsibilities. She has deep ties in this community with mutual acquaintances and many years experience. It's not easy handing over your keys and your fur baby(ies) to a 'stranger' but this felt really right. Hiring her for our out of town dates for drop in visits for the cat.”

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and patience I have for every dog I care for. I treat every pup like my own, while making sure they feel safe, comfortable and loved. I’m attentive to their individual personalities, routines, and needs, whether they’re playful puppies, energetic adults, or sweet seniors. I’m also happy to provide plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and basic reinforcement of good behaviors. My goal is for both you and your pup to feel completely comfortable and confident while you’re away. I’m around animals for most of my days, so caring for pets is a natural part of my routine. My schedule is fairly open and flexible depending on the day, which allows me to accommodate different pets’ needs, routines, and care schedules. I’m happy to work with you to find a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I make sure every pet gets the care and attention they need, including regular walks, meals on their normal schedule, playtime, and plenty of love. I make sure they get their energy out and feel comfortable and happy while in my care. I also follow each pet’s individual routine and any specific instructions you provide.
“Cynthia was wonderful! She was friendly, professional, and very communicative throughout my holiday trip. I really appreciated the regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She even went above and beyond by bringing my packages inside for safekeeping. I’d happily book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter.”

“We have *never* come home from a trip with our cats so happy and unstressed as they were with Kimberly taking care of them. Even our older, anxious cat who usually hides from all pet sitters was happy to come out and see Kimberly during her visits. I also really appreciated how proactive she was with communications, and how understanding she was about the state of chaos our house was in since we are still moving in.”

About: I’ve had very much experience sitting for family and friends pets throughout the past 6 years. I do also have experience working with animals through volunteering at an animal shelter for about a year and a half. As of now, I am working in a vet clinic as a veterinary assistant. I am working my way to become a registered veterinary technician! I do have a dog of my own, he is two years old so he is very energetic! I always make sure to take him on walks before I go to school or work! My grandparents do also have a dog which I will always check on and walk as well! Not only do I have my own personal pet care but I also care for pets while I’m working as a veterinary assistant. My dog does get his regular walks and playtime since he’s still a puppy. I always assure he’s well fed, has fresh water and will sometimes give him specific enrichment toys. I always assure the same goes for my grandparents dog, although she is on the older side, I care for her very well.
“Almira did a great job sitting my cat while I was on a long vacation. She is reliable, accommadating, and communicates very well. I was able to be away without having to worry about my cat. I would definitely use her service again!”

“Roma is the best! Her attention to detail and sincere loving care for our kitties made our time away immeasurably less stressful! We’ve already got plans to book Roma again! The kitties will miss her in the interim! Thank you Roma!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Chatsworth
Philip and Lauren were great! They dropped in at the scheduled times took care of everything as we had agreed. We received pics and vids of Lucky so we knew he was fine and messages keeping us up to date. This was our first time using Rover and will definitley be repeat customers. I would recommend Philip and Lauren without hesitation!!

Emily is fantastic! She completed her drop ins at the time scheduled and sent lots of pictures. You could tell my cats were super happy with having her there. Even my super scaredy-cat warmed up to her while I was away my schedule is just all over the place and she was so accommodating to last-minute changes as well which I really appreciate.

Lexi was super communicative with her post-visit, so I really was able to feel comfortable in knowing that my Lulu was being taken care of. I feel confident that when I leave for a longer trip, my kitty will be getting the care and attention she needs with Lexi.

Amanda was great and went above and beyond with Chopper who insisted on playing hide and seek all weekend long. She kept us well informed and was very easy to communicate with especially when we received a possible evacuation notice for a fire that was close by. We look forward to working with Amanda next time.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
