“Sasha was wonderful with Phoenix and Stormy. She fed them, and walked them and we came home to well rested pups. She was communicative and kept us in the loop with everything. Will definitely call her again for the next pup sitting need.”

“Julian was amazing and took excellent care of our pups. This being our first time away, the first day we were worried about them, so Julian took an extra trip to make sure there were no issues. Honestly 10/10”

About: I’m currently living in the Santa Clarita area and having grown up in the Midwest, surrounded by animals, particularly dogs, cats, rabbits and chickens, I am very experienced in animal husbandry. I learned a lot during my time as an exhibitor at my local county fair where I actually showed all four of the species mentioned, and reached the highest achievement of Reserve Grand Champion Small Animal Showman. I have a lot of experience in caring for a large amount of animals as I had my own rabbitry and two show quality Bernese Mountain Dogs. When it comes to caring for other’s animals, I have done both long term and short term, from managing chinchillas for 6 months, to taking care of a cattery for a weekend to caring for a homestead to daily dog walk your precious pets will be well cared for and loved while you are away. Another thing I bring is veterinary experience. I previously worked in an emergency veterinary clinic, so I’m comfortable assessing situations, staying calm when something unexpected happens, and recognizing when an animal may need additional care. Outside of animals, I live to swim, hike, read classics, and go to the Getty. I’m entering my senior year of my pre-med degree and hope to become a physician! As a collage student, my schedule is very flexible and I am able to care for your pets at any time of the day! Occasionally I am out of town for swim meets, but I will have those weekends marked as unavailable I care for every pet as an individual and do my best to maintain the routine they are already comfortable with. In a client’s home, I follow their instructions closely regarding feeding, walks, medications, exercise, sleeping arrangements, and household rules. I also prioritize keeping the home secure and leaving it just as I found it.
About: I love animals; always have! I used to come home from school and do homework in front of Animal Planet and when it wasn't doing that I was taking care of my neighbor's pets. Cats, dogs and horses and I looked forward to it every time. My responsibilities included walking, playing, feeding and even reading to them (which I have on good authority was very adorable). I'm very excited to take care of your fur babies for you! Fear Free Leader in Animal Wellbeing graduate. *Ask me about Active & Running services* **Ask me about Pet Portraiture Add-ons** I am currently taking online classes and looking forward to being with animals when I can part time. I am looking forward to meeting new pets and taking care of them in between bouts of homework and studying. I am available for most services! Including drop-in check-ins, letting dogs out to do their business or go on walks or play with your pets. I'm also available to pet-sit and keep them company while they relax in their space. After meeting your pets and learning their specific and unique needs, likes or dislikes, I am available to feed, walk, play most days.
“Tami is a wonderful sitter! Our pup Shadow is skittish with new people, but she’s patient, calm, and comfortable with him. Communication is easy and frequent - we really appreciate her and will absolutely keep using her services.”

“She knew it would be challenging but still showed up each time to help both of us out. My cat needed her medicine and she made sure it got done and took the time to figure out a way. I can't thank Melissa enough for what she did for us.”
About: I have owned animals my entire life including dogs, cats, horses, snakes, tortoises, and turtles. I have helped take care of even more including a bunny, a goat, a pig, chickens, a leopard gecko, and a bearded dragon. I have experience with dogs ages 0-12+, and cats ages 0-16. I also have experience giving dogs medication including insulin shots. I have additional time between caring for my own animals, and animals that I am taking care of for family/friends to help out whoever needs it on days that I don’t also have work! I always treat every animal I come in contact with like they are my own, and I do everything I can to make sure that every animal is taken care of to the best of my ability. Even if I am just doing a drop in or a walk, I will use any amount of time I have to build trust with your pets.

“Kiana was absolutely wonderful with our dog, Sumo! She kept us updated throughout the entire time and even helped clean him when he got poop on his butt. We really appreciate that she went above and beyond for our dog. We couldn't be happier, thank you Kiana! 😊”

“Keleigh did drop in visits with out cat Niko. She texted us multiple pictures every day, some of which Niko was actually sitting on her lap, completely content! That made me smile! She also texted how he was doing, filling water bowl and let us know status on all his surroundings. I would definitely use her services again! Thanks Keleigh!”

About: I’m an animal communicator with a deep, intuitive connection to animals — I don’t just care for your pets, I actually listen to them. I’ve spent my life alongside dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and needs, including my own two girls, Daisy and Chloe. I understand animal behavior, body language, and emotional wellbeing on a level that goes beyond feeding and walks. Senior pets, anxious dogs, and strong-willed characters are my specialty. Your fur family will be safe, seen, and genuinely loved while you’re away. I’m currently available full time through mid-September, making this a great time to book! After that I take on seasonal evening work Thursday through Sunday, so I’m still available for daytime care and drop-ins year round. I’ll always be upfront about my schedule so you can plan with confidence. My home is warm, relaxed, and animal-friendly with a fenced yard. We did hospice for a number of dogs and cats from 2014 to 2025, so we installed Life Proof floors and have furniture to accommodate the older ones. My two dogs, Daisy and Chloe, are social, dog-park regulars who welcome new friends easily. I have crates available for large dogs if needed.

About: I am retired, reliable and looking for some doggy time. I’ve owed dogs since childhood and our last one left us a year ago. I need my doggy time! I have plenty of spare time during the day to stop in and give your pet some lovin and companionship while you’re away at work I am available to meet with you and your pet to determine what your specific needs may be. I am open to what ever’s needed
About: I've had two dogs and a cat in my lifetime. I also have 2 years of pet sitting experience for some of my family friends! I have trained my two dogs and can spend hours playing with animals! I am currently unemployed, and searching for work, so my schedule is flexible, and I am looking for ways to make some extra money! I thought this would be an excellent way. I have an apartment, but it's well kept and has plenty of space for animals to play around. There is also a grassy area outside for dogs to play. As for a clients home, I will always make sure to keep it clean and avoid touching anything that isn't meant for me or your beloved pet.

About: I have taken care of dogs of all sizes and all ages! I have some experience taking care of puppies/younger dogs. I’ll be your pets good friend :) I’m on summer break from university right now, but once I get started in classes again my availability is limited to the weekends. For now, I can work any day except Tuesdays and Thursdays. I can watch and take care of a pet in any circumstance. I am able to crate dogs too. I like to play with and bond with pets so they don’t get too bored.
“Kimberly did SUCH a great job of caring for our boys while we were away. Her communication is excellent and she always makes sure the boys get plenty of love and attention.”

“I needed someone asap to check in on my Charlie and Ernestina was kind enough to do so. I took a chance and I was not disappointed! She is amazing and took good care of my Charlie while I was at work. She sends pictures to reassure me that he’s doing well. Thank you, Ernistina!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Santa Clarita
Accommodated a last minute request for help with kindness and professionalism. She was flexible in working with our tight schedules and met every request with exceptional care. I really appreciated her detailed check in reports with numerous pictures of our cat. It helped relieve my anxiety about our cat staying hidden and isolated rather than interacting. Will definitely ask for her again in the future, and highly recommend to others!

hiring haley was the best decision we could have made. this was our first time hiring a pet sitter, and she made the entire experience so easy and stress-free. we were away for 15 days, and she came every day right on time, fed our cats, played with them and kept me updated with messages and lots of photos. haley is incredibly sweet, friendly, trustworthy and reliable, and maggie and benji absolutely loved her. i had a feeling she would be wonderful from the beginning, and i truly didn’t worry once while we were away. from now on, she’s the only sitter we want to hire! we recommend her 100%, she’s the best!

Erin is so attentive and caring! I absolutely hate leaving our baby girl behind. She hates being alone, plus she breaks out of her onesie that covers a wound. We are so grateful for Erin sending photos and messaging us the whole way through. She knew how important it was to me to get that peace of mind. She’s amazing!

Gabriela is so great! She's conscientious, reliable, and totally trustworthy. She visited my cat every day when I was out of town for a week. Gabriela fed her, cleaned up, and sent me photos and text updates -- even alerted me that a smoke alarm needed a new battery. I felt safe going out of town. Gabriela had everything handled! I will book her again, for sure. I highly recommend her, no question.

Tammi was awesome! We were on vacation across the world where communication was hard on our end and Tammi was amazing providing updates and photos. She took incredible care of our babies which allowed us to be completely at ease knowing they were in good hands!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Santa Clarita. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
