My two friendly senior pups and I enjoy a gated back yard that still sees birds and squirrels enough to entertain them while being safe from any interactions. We have astroturf for back scratching and enjoying the sun, as well as a front yard, quiet cul de sac streets and a giant park for leisurely walks.

Information Nancy J. would like to know about your pet
It’s always helpful to know your dogs routine, walk times, meal times, any medications, allergies, etc. If they have separation anxiety I would ask for as many articles from home with your smell on them as possible and their favorite treats.
A typical day
We generally go on 4-5 walks per day, one long, several short or sometimes all short depending on how the elders feels, but I love a longer walk if your pup needs extra energy walked off in a day. Our back yard allows for a lot of fetch and play or leisurely sun naps. In the hotter months we stay in the air conditioning and play in the living room or enjoy people watching from the giant window in the dining room. Evenings are for post dinner walks and then cuddles before bed time.

Pet care experience
My Cairn Terriers (like Toto from Oz) hike Griffith and Runyon, chase squirrels, dig holes, play fetch at Weddington Park and take long walks. Sometimes we just lay in the sun or snuggle on the couch, but this is a loving home that is grain free, caters to the Fluff gang and we’re big on patience and attention. I've raised five dogs in my life - German Shepard, Black Lab, Lhasa Opso and now my Cairns. Having learned so much from each of them and the love I have for dogs in general, I'm excited to welcome your loved one into my home and help you be at ease knowing they're well cared for. I know nothing can keep you from missing your pet, but a confidence in them being comfortable and loved while you're away is a great help. ***Originally DogVacay, I’ve been with the service since 2010 and rarely open up to new clients. After a few folks moved out of town and others had kids which limited travel time, I’m opening up again. My preference would be to begin those same kind of long term care relationships with people who travel often or for larger lengths of time which allows your pup to feel as though they’re always going to a safe and familiar space with friends they know and love playing with.

Nancy is a gem! Mango loved spending the night with her and her furry friends. Nancy is caring, thorough and I had zero concerns leaving Mango with her. I received tons of updates and pictures during the stay. Thanks Nancy!

Another successful boarding stay at Nancy’s! I appreciate all the photos, videos, and text updates I receive throughout my pup’s stay. Nancy loves dogs and loves caring for dogs, so I feel lucky we found her to watch my special needs girl when I’m not around.

Nancy is truly a gem, we are so thankful to have found her! She kept us updated multiple times a day, amazing communication, and most importantly LOVES our girl. Thank you nancy! 💗

Our little pup was in the absolute best hands with Nancy. She has a really wonderful, warm pawrent personality and she made Lexi feel right at home. We received tons of welcomed photos, videos and updates. We will absolutely continue seeing Nancy - we’re sure our pup will demand it.
