“My dog loves Kira! I scheduled walks with her for a week when I was injured and couldn’t take my dog out as frequently. She was punctual, communicative, friendly and great with Alfie. I’ll definitely book her again.”

“Julia was great with our dog Gene this week when she needed a few walks. She took extra time to walk her and play with her outside and even gave some attention to our cats! I could tell from the pictures that our doggie just loved her. I definitely recommend Julia and hope to get to have her walk Gene again soon!”

“Brenna has been so wonderful with walking our 115lb rottie while we were out of town! She’s an excellent communicator and sent us plenty of photos from each walk, and gracefully handled his reactivity on neighborhood walks. We felt reassured and relieved knowing our pup was in good hands and getting exercise and sniff walks while we were out of town, we would highly recommend Brenna to anyone!”

“Samantha was an absolute rockstar and we are so grateful she was available to help us out with walking our dog last minute! She was friendly, intuitive and most importantly, very good with our baby boy, Stanley. We are very happy with her care and look forward to using her in the future! We have found our dog sitter and are so relieved!”

“Carlos was fantastic with our pup, who has some behavioral issues. He’s thoughtful and communicative, putting me at ease right away. Our high-energy pup came back tired, which is a minor miracle.”

“Brady was fantastic with my puppy! He’s very responsive and easy to communicate with, always prompt and on time for walks. He also took some of the best photos of my dog I have! I will definitely book with him again in the future.”

“Absolute best! Booked very last minute and Destiny was quick with responding and meeting up to meet my boy. He took so well to her! I felt comfortable and safe leaving him in her care. Highly recommend.”

“Lee has been fabulous with Willie! I was nervous to leave Willie home for the first time while I went to work as I am gone for a very long day. Lee sent me an update on how the walk went and when I come home Willie is calm and happy and there are no accidents in the house. Lee has been very professional and takes good care of Willie on his walks and we look forward to having him numerous days a week on a regular basis. Thank you Lee! :)”

“Thank you for being flexible enough to add on an extra day!! He seemed happy and was fed and watered. You also went above and beyond cleaning up his little mess! Would definitely recommend Sarah!!”
“Brendon was awesome! He was able to take my pup on a last-minute walk, covered a lot of ground, and gave me a nice, detailed and entertaining report once he was done. Will definitely use him again!”

“Carley was so great with my very shy dog. After a couple days they were good friends which doesn’t happen with most people. On top of that she’s super responsive, responsible, and trustworthy. Will be asking her to walk my pup or dog sit the next time we need help with Arya.”

About: I’ve always lived with cats, my old roommate had a golden retriever and I would watch him all of the time. I’ve also dog sat for different friends over the years and love all furry friends. I’m currently working part time but completely open Friday through Sunday. I have plenty of time after work to check on fur babies as well. Since I have my own cat, I won’t be watching any animals in my own apartment but would always be very respectful coming into your home.
“Chao is great with Miko! My dog is pretty shy and is scared of strangers at first. Chao hung out with him and gave him treats until he warmed up to her. Chao is great at following instructions and very sweet to Miko. Miko gets very excited to see her now. I like Chao a lot and will continue to use her!”

“Alex started walking my Pomeranian in the afternoons after I returned to a hybrid work schedule and she is amazing!! I can tell Sammy enjoys her time outside with Alex midday and I can fully trust Alex with her while I’m at work or away.”

“Tom and Sharanya were wonderful with our dog. You could tell that they really cared and paid attention to detail by the questions they asked us before taking kirra for her walks. They sent lots of photos and made sure to give us updates. I would definitely use them again for walking or watching our dog.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Los Angeles Downtown
Anel was available last minute to walk my dog and she was very accomodating and flexible. I have to keep my dog crated when I'm not home and I've had issues in the past where my dog gets very frightened when a new walker approaches her crate, but she had no problems with Anel, which is just wonderful. She sent pics on their walk and was very communicative. Would use again for sure.

We had a great experience with Nia! Our dog loved her right away, and we felt completely comfortable knowing she was in great hands. She took excellent care of her, made sure she was fed, gave her the treats we provided, and was very easy to communicate with. We would definitely love to hire her again for future walks!

Saige was absolutely amazing with Snooki! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. She kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She genuinely cares so much for our fury babies. Pookie looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Saige is reliable, sweet, and goes above and beyond to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I would absolutely trust her with Snooki again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their babies. Thank you so much, Saige. We appreciate you more than you know!

Chao is great with Miko! My dog is pretty shy and is scared of strangers at first. Chao hung out with him and gave him treats until he warmed up to her. Chao is great at following instructions and very sweet to Miko. Miko gets very excited to see her now. I like Chao a lot and will continue to use her!

Maggie has been an amazing weekly walker for Riggy! Riggy gets so excited every time she sees her, which says everything. She handles Riggy’s rambunctious energy like a pro (even when she has to wrestle with the harness because Riggy insists on trying to bite it when it gets put on her 😂). Maggie always makes sure Riggy has water during her walks and even refills her water bowl afterward, which we really appreciate. She’s incredibly easy to schedule with, reliable, and it’s obvious she genuinely loves animals. Most importantly, we completely trust Maggie and know Riggy is in the best hands whenever they’re together. That’s exactly why she’s become our number one go-to walker. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

It’s been several weeks of using Hannah and she’s great! We pretty much trusted her after our first meet & greet to enter and leave our home unsupervised. Friendly, pleasant, and attentive to instructions we had, is reliable and communicative. Most important, our dog liked her right away, and she’s been posting adorable pics every time she walks him. He’s a large breed and strong and occasionally reactive to other dogs, but Hannah is able to manage him. We are so appreciative!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
