About: I'm super passionate about giving animals the TLC they deserve. With my experience with dog walking, general animal care, and overnight pet sitting, I've got a solid understanding of what it takes to make pets feel safe and happy. I'm all about providing a fun, comfortable, and loving environment for your fur babies, and I'm happy to share more about my experience if needed At the moment, the animals in my household are my parents pets, so my current animal care is only needed when asked. I have cared for many animals throughout my life. I have been the individual that my friends and family recommend to their friends and family for pet care for many years. I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, and rodents. I have nothing but love and respect for animals. I’m new to this service but I’m very much looking forward to meeting you and your animal friends!

About: I grew up surrounded by pets, including two German Shepherds and cats, so I’m very comfortable with large, active breeds and senior dogs. I’ve managed everything from puppy energy to the specialized care needed for older pets (my own dog lived to 14). I’m reliable, patient, and will treat your furry friends with the same love and attention I gave my own. I’m a full-time student, but honestly, I study from home most of the time. This means your pup won't be left alone, and I can easily feed them during the day if you are busy at work. I’m also usually home all weekend, so I have plenty of time to hang out and give them my full attention. I usually finish my school on mondays and wednesdays at 3 pm, and on tuesdays, thursdays and fridays at 12 pm! Animals mean a lot to me, and I treat every pet like my own. I'm happy to care for your dogs either at my place or come over to your home, depending on what's best for them. I carefully follow all your rules about routines, love going for long walks, and will make sure they get lots of cuddles and attention.

About: I've always loved pets and have much experience pet sitting for friends and family. My mother takes in cats she finds around her area and neuter and stays them. I go over and help her when I can. She also owns 2 energetic huskies and I walk and play and groom them when I visit. My friends/neighbors around my complex trust me with their keys to feed their cats at their specific times and change their litter when they are out of town. And I am loving cat owner, unfortunately no dogs since one of my cats got so temperamental when I fostered one for a month. I'm currently working part-time remotely so I have nearly open availability to help, and assist fellow pet owners so they can work or travel with peace of mind. Although I am a pet owner I know that we all care/feed our pets differently. I make sure to follow any rules or guidelines owners mention to make sure your pet is taken care of the way you'd like.

About: Downtown Los Angeles-based, I lovingly raised a rescued pittie for 15 years. Now I’m ready to share that same care, patience, and joy with your dog. I am a full-time novelist which means I work from home and welcome the opportunity to spend time with your pup and give you a helping hand. I have a pet-friendly DTLA condo and know all the best places to walk. I don't mind having your best friend plop down on my couches, and I keep the AC running during the warm months. When it comes to dropping in at your place, I will respect your privacy, house rules, and special instructions.

About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for both cats and dogs. For the past two years, I’ve been the proud pet parent of my rescue cat, Duckie. Since adopting her, I’ve learned how important patience, routine, and attentive care are, and I’m committed to making sure she stays happy, healthy, and loved every day. I’ve also helped care for my friends’ pets over the years. I regularly walked a friend’s poodle, making sure he got plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. In addition, I’ve house sat for friends with cats, caring for their daily routines by feeding them, refreshing their water, cleaning litter boxes, playing with them, and giving them lots of affection while their owners were away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and needs, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel safe and comfortable. Whether it’s a long walk, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care I give my own. Pet sitting fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home with a flexible schedule. Since I can work from just about anywhere with my laptop, I’m able to provide attentive care throughout the day while maintaining my work responsibilities. This flexibility also makes weekday house sitting a great option for me. On weekends, I’m available for both full-day and part-time care, giving me even more time to focus on your pet’s needs, whether that means walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping them company. My goal is to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. I understand that every family has a different schedule, so I’m happy to work with you to find a care plan that fits your routine while making sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for every step of the way. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. My priority is to provide reliable, attentive care while maintaining your pet’s normal routine and making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Before each visit or house sit, I’ll take the time to learn your pet’s routine, personality, preferences, and any special care instructions. Whether your pet needs medication, a bath, extra exercise, playtime, or simply a calm companion, I’ll follow your care plan closely and make sure their needs are met with patience and care. I’m attentive to the little details that can make a big difference in your pet’s well-being. I’ll keep an eye on their appetite, water intake, energy level, bathroom habits, and overall behavior, and I’ll communicate any changes or concerns right away. I believe consistent updates, photos, and open communication help give pet parents peace of mind, so you’ll always know how your pet is doing while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own—keeping it clean, secure, and following any household instructions you’ve provided. My goal is for you to come home to a happy, healthy pet and the confidence that they received thoughtful, dependable care every step of the way.

About: Hi friends! ☀️ A little about me: I’m Saige! I live in LA with my partner and our pets 🐶🐱 I’m the type of gal to say hi to every dog on the street and to pspspspspss at every cat I see. Animals are also better than humans, sorry. My experience: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life, but have been lucky enough to experience being a cat parent in adulthood. I currently have one senior dog and one senior cat (with big personalities) 🤣 My partner and I had two senior cats previously that have since passed. All of our sweet babies were adopted as seniors and I have been their caretakers through all of their illnesses. So I have experience administering medicine and caring for multiple illnesses. I also previously worked at a pet store and have extensive knowledge of pet products. I’m self employed with my own business, where I work remotely and make my own hours, so my schedule is completely open. I do travel frequently, but give plenty of notice for when I’ll be away :) Your trust and comfort is my top priority. As someone who consistently uses pet sitters, I know how it feels to be away and worried about your fur baby. So constant communication and reassurance is guaranteed. I’m happy to meet new clients beforehand as well, to make pet parents more comfortable. Whatever you need, just let me know :)

About: I have loved animals my whole life. I have dog sat multiple times and have lots of experience training and playing with my own dogs! I am available mornings - late afternoon all weekdays. I am currently a music student on summer break so my schedule is very open. I spent the rest of my day practicing, so I can take last minute requests. I love walking dogs, and I am used to dogs that pull/lunge and I am capable of keeping them safe regardless of leash manners. I also love playing fetch or any game that can be played in a fenced in yard.

Stephanie went above and beyond! She stopped by the night before our appt. for a meet and greet and to get my keys. She was so sweet and really cool to talk with. The next day she showed right up on time and took my pupper for a better walk than I even give him. She sent lots of pics and communication and she even stayed way longer than she had to. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely book again soon. I wish there was some sort of tipping option on the app because she seriously deserves it. Thanks again, mama!

About: I have been caring for animals since I got my first dog when I was 6 and began pet sitting for family, friends, and neighbors when I was 11. I’ve worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes and needs. I have a cat of my own, as well. Previously, I worked at a nature museum and reptile pet store which has given me experience working with pets of all kinds such as guinea pigs, bearded dragons, snakes, and more. I can't wait to meet your pet! I recently completed a service year program in Los Angeles and am looking for part time or full time work. This means that my schedule is flexible and can accommodate whatever times work best for you and your pet. I live in DTLA and have easy access to the Metro and the interstate! I will communicate with the pet owner to make sure I understand the pet's needs and personality in order to provide the best care possible. I make sure to follow the schedule decided with the pet owner (eg usual time for meals and walks) to minimize any disruption to the pet's regular day with the owner.

About: I'm a Los Angeles native and lifelong dog owner with a deep love for animals. 11 years ago my partner and I brought home two adorable Shiba Inu’s and the immense joy they've given our lives is unquantifiable. We've raised them both to be very sweet and social dogs with a love for walks, hikes and vigorous playtimes. We're very active hikers and take the pups on adventures through out Southern California's numerous trails. Frequenting Bronson Canyon, Griffith Park, Runyon Canyon and the Silver Lake Reservoirs during the week. On weekends we trek to a variety of great outdoor locations around the city, with the dog's favorite destination being the dog beach in Huntington. I have the added bonus of working from home, so I typically have large windows of free time and a flexible schedule. I live in DTLA with easy access to three parks - Maguire Gardens, BofA Tower Park and Grand Central Park. And there are numerous dog parks within walking distance. Ideally I'd like to build up a network of reliable professionals, who need a little help with their furry family members while at work or away on trips. My work schedule and availability are very flexible and I'll work with clients to form the best care schedule for their dog's needs. I work from home with large blocks of free time. I’m typically available weekdays during the day, most of the weekend and can be flexible with my schedule to accommodate your pet care needs. I’m a professional and love dogs; you can trust me to keep your babe safe and walk/watch them as if they’re my own. For house sitting, drop ins and walks I leave my own dogs at home and come alone for the appointments.

Having grown up with pets my whole life, I have a deep understanding of their needs and unique personalities. Moreover, my experience volunteering at a doggy daycare has given me a professional edge, allowing me to handle pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments with ease. My genuine love for animals shines through in everything I do, making my services truly exceptional. My clients can rest assured that their furry family members will be in capable and caring hands when they choose me as their pet sitter. Pet sitting will fit perfectly into my daily life as I have a dog myself who walks twice a day. I currently do not work from home, but I work 6 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the late evening. I’m usually home in the afternoon to spend quality time with all of my furry friends. As a pet sitter, I prioritize the safety and wellbeing of the pets in my care. I have a secure and pet-friendly home environment, free of any hazards. I will supervise pets during playtime and ensure they are properly fed and hydrated. I have a clear understanding of pet behavior and will provide appropriate exercise and enrichment activities to keep them happy and healthy. Saige was absolutely amazing with Snooki! From the very beginning, she was kind, communicative, and incredibly thoughtful. She kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She genuinely cares so much for our fury babies. Pookie looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Saige is reliable, sweet, and goes above and beyond to make both pets and their owners feel at ease. I would absolutely trust her with Snooki again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their babies. Thank you so much, Saige. We appreciate you more than you know!

Maggie has been an amazing weekly walker for Riggy! Riggy gets so excited every time she sees her, which says everything. She handles Riggy’s rambunctious energy like a pro (even when she has to wrestle with the harness because Riggy insists on trying to bite it when it gets put on her 😂). Maggie always makes sure Riggy has water during her walks and even refills her water bowl afterward, which we really appreciate. She’s incredibly easy to schedule with, reliable, and it’s obvious she genuinely loves animals. Most importantly, we completely trust Maggie and know Riggy is in the best hands whenever they’re together. That’s exactly why she’s become our number one go-to walker. We couldn’t recommend her more highly!

It’s been several weeks of using Hannah and she’s great! We pretty much trusted her after our first meet & greet to enter and leave our home unsupervised. Friendly, pleasant, and attentive to instructions we had, is reliable and communicative. Most important, our dog liked her right away, and she’s been posting adorable pics every time she walks him. Charlotte is absolutely fantastic—the best dog walker ever! She has been walking my high-energy, 1-year-old husky puppy, Maverick, for a month now and consistently goes the extra mile. When I sprained my foot, Charlotte even cleaned up Maverick’s mess in my apartment and grabbed my grocery essentials so I wouldn't stress. Maverick is super hyper and prone to pulling, but Charlotte is incredibly patient and kind. She actively trains him to focus and calm down. They have built a wonderful bond, and he gets so excited the second he sees her! She is completely reliable, always goes above and beyond, and walks him way longer to ensure he burns off his energy and gets a great, happy workout. She truly treats him like her own. I always have total peace of mind knowing Maverick is in such caring hands, especially she also communicates so well and sends great photo and video updates. I highly recommend her! Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Los Angeles Downtown. On Rover:

  • 88% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
