Jacqueline did a great job with my senior dog. Because of the heat, I gave her the flexibility of coming early and she was here bright and early. She is quiet in person but clear in her texts. Which I get. My written communication is better than my oral. I will be happy to book her again.

About: Working as a teacher and pet sitter have taught me many of the same skills: patience, communication, responsibility, and genuine care. I’ve traveled across the U.S. to pet sit for both cats and dogs, and I enjoy getting to know each pet’s unique personality and routine. I’m attentive to owners’ instructions and take their trust seriously. Whether it’s keeping up with a feeding schedule, making sure a dog gets plenty of exercise, or giving a shy cat some extra space and patience, I do my best to make pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’m also respectful of your home and always aim to leave a place as clean—or cleaner—than I found it. Most importantly, I treat every pet as an individual and want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while you’re away. I currently work as a substitute teacher, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I have plenty of time before and after work to provide attentive care, and I’m generally able to adjust my schedule around a pet’s needs. I live a calm lifestyle and enjoy spending time at home, so pets get plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I have a safe, comfortable home with a backyard where pets can get some fresh air and space to explore. I also live right next to a park with a designated pet area and plenty of greenery, which makes it easy to provide regular walks and outdoor time. I want pets in my care to feel comfortable and at home, while also following their owner’s routines, instructions, and preferences.

About: Hi! My name is Kenji and I have an adorable 6 year old dashschund named Winston. I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and spending time with pets is something that genuinely brings me joy. Over the past 10 years, I've become the go-to dog sitter for my friends and family because they know I'll care for their pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I would my own. I've looked after dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and personalities—from playful puppies who love to explore to senior dogs who need a little extra patience and care. I also have experience caring for reactive dogs and understand the importance of staying calm, recognizing their triggers, respecting their boundaries, and following their routine to help them feel safe and comfortable. Whether we're going for a walk, playing fetch, sticking to their daily routine, or just relaxing together, my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I know how much pets mean to their families, and I don't take that responsibility lightly. I'll always follow your care instructions, keep you updated with photos and messages, and make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a wagging tail, earning a shy dog's trust, or knowing an owner can travel with complete peace of mind. I treat every pet like family, and I'd love the opportunity to care for yours. I work remotely with a flexible schedule and have minimal meetings throughout the day, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to pet care. I’m typically available throughout the day for walks, drop-in visits, playtime, feeding, and keeping pets company. I enjoy building pet care into my daily routine, whether that means taking a dog out for a walk, providing enrichment and play, following their normal schedule, or simply spending quality time with them. Since I’m home most of the day, I’m able to be attentive to pets’ needs and provide regular updates so owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. My flexible schedule also allows me to be consistent and dependable with each pet’s routine, which I know is especially important for dogs who thrive on structure and familiarity. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in their own environment. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I take the time to follow each owner's instructions closely and provide care that fits their normal schedule. During walks, I prioritize safety while making sure dogs get the exercise, enrichment, and attention they need. I’m comfortable adjusting the pace and style of walks based on each dog's energy level, age, and temperament, including being patient with dogs who may be nervous or reactive. For drop-in visits, I provide more than just the basics—I’ll make sure pets have fresh water, meals if needed, bathroom breaks, playtime, and plenty of attention and affection. I’m also happy to send regular photo updates so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client's home, I treat their space with the same respect I would my own. I follow all instructions carefully, maintain their pet’s routine, and make sure both the pet and home are left safe and comfortable.

About: I've worked with all types of dogs from helping to train them for obedience to being a K9 Decoy for bite work. I don't mind walking any sized dog or any age for that matter. I also have experience and knowledge on what to look for when it comes to K9 health specially during the summertime and this heat. I work from home for the most part and my schedule does vary week to week but with proper communication and timing I can take the doggos out for a walk without any issues. My retired bomb dog and my active four paw work partner are both crated but their doors are open and have their beds in them. They have a room with AC and are never alone at home. They have individual water buckets and food trays. They go on daily walks with me when the weather is nice and cool to prevent overheating during summer times. Plenty or moving all day and lots of play time with me and each other on the weekends. They also enjoy their training time with some of the K9 Clubs I attend.

About: I’ve fostered and volunteered at many animal shelters over the years, and I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family whenever they travel. I’m very comfortable around all kinds of animals, and I know how important it is to feel like your pet is in good hands. While I don’t have any pets of my own right now, that just means I can give your pet my full attention and care. I’ll make sure they’re safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I work from home with flexible hours. Being home throughout the day means I can provide attentive, hands-on care, whether that’s for walks, feeding, playtime, or simply keeping your pet company. Caring for animals fits naturally into my routine. I can be flexible so just let me know when you’re available and I’ll try my very best to accommodate. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like part of my family. I provide a safe, clean, and cozy environment where they can relax, play, and feel completely at ease. I have a large, fully fenced backyard that offers plenty of space for dogs to run, play, and enjoy the outdoors safely. Pets are always supervised while outside to ensure their safety and comfort at all times. I follow each pet’s routine, including feeding schedules, walk times, medication, and bedtime rituals, to help them feel at home. I offer plenty of attention, playtime, and cuddles (if they want them!), along with quiet spots for rest and alone time when needed. Whether they’re here for a short stay or a longer vacation, I make sure every pet in my care feels loved, secure, and well cared for every step of the way. 🐶 Dog Care (Boarding & Drop-Ins) When dogs stay with me, I provide a safe, clean, and cozy environment where they can relax and feel at ease. I also have a large, fully fenced backyard where they can run and play safely, always under supervision. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible including feeding schedules, walks, and bedtime habits to help them feel right at home. Whether your dog is energetic or more laid-back, I adjust care to match their needs. For dog drop-in visits, I can stop by your home to provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and companionship. 🐱 Cat Care (Boarding & Drop-Ins) I also have experience caring for cats with a wide range of personalities, from social and playful to shy and independent. I understand that cats need a calm, patient approach, and I always let them come to me at their own pace. For drop-in visits, I make sure your cat stays comfortable in their own home while you’re away. Visits can include feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, and quiet companionship. If boarding, my home provides a calm, low-stress environment that’s ideal for cats. Since I only accept one family at a time, your cat will never be around unfamiliar animals. I never force interaction and always respect each cat’s comfort level. I’m also comfortable caring for multi-cat households and can follow detailed routines, including basic medication if needed. IMPORTANT NOTE: - Please let me know about their temperament. The more details the better. - To give each pet the attention, comfort, and calm environment they deserve, I only board pets from one family at a time. This means your pets will never have to share their space with unfamiliar animals, reducing stress and allowing me to fully focus on their individual needs. Whether your pets are playful, shy, or needs special care, I’m able to tailor their stay and provide a safe, peaceful, and loving home by away from home just for them. - Up to date vaccinations including rabies shots are REQUIRED. ** Pickup & Drop-Off Policy Drop-offs and pickups are available during agreed-upon hours. For scheduling and safety reasons, late-night drop-offs or pickups after 12am will incur a $20 late night pick up fee. Pickups and drop-offs are not available after 2am. Thank you 🐾

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs for more than 35 years for neighbors, friends and family including special needs, vision impaired, in diapers, senior/older dogs, aggressive behaviors as well as big and small. I’ve cared for many breeds both in their homes as well as my home. I’m a professional musician and I work 1-3 nights/week so my schedule varies and is flexible when planned in advance. I can sit in your home or mine. I try to schedule around my part time work schedule. My retired husband is my dog sitting partner so we can accommodate most schedules. Our home has a fenced backyard and a friendly mixed pointer and pug to keep your dog company. The dogs can enjoy the backyard frequently through the day, the back door is often kept open. During the night the dogs and are kept indoors from 12am-7:30am. Dogs can see on their own dog beds or even our sofas. We are a dog family and we’ve housed many dogs through the years. When caring for your dogs in your home, I try to maintain your routines as much as possible. I give lots of affection, petting frequently, brushing once a day. If owner prefers, I allow pets to sit with me, on me. I prefer not to sleep with them. However, if that is what they are accustomed to I am willing. About: I grew up on a farm and had the amazing opportunity to rescue and raise different animals. I’ve had more than 25 dogs throughout my time in Arizona and we found them all loving homes. I started my pet/kid sitting job at age 9, I’m 27 now. Im a mom to a little angel in heaven and now want to focus my time and love on others babies. I’ve been an animal lover since I can remember and to this day I love caring for them as if they were my own. I have an amazing dog named Nala who I rescued and she’s amazing with other dogs. She loves to play and making new friends everywhere she goes. I feel like she would definitely benefit from my dog sitting as well because she will have endless friendships and fun too . I also have experience with dog aggressive animals/ shy/ or animals who prefer to be alone so I don’t mind separating my dog from yours. I have a pretty big house and backyard/ front yard so everyone will be happy and have their space. I will always assure they do 🤍 I’m currently working part time from home so I’ve been having some extra time to myself. I want to fill it with joy , happiness and adventure and what better way of doing that than hanging out with peoples fur babies for the day. I have a fenced front and backyard, two beautiful and respectful dogs. I love doing playtime and interactive games that help keeps their brains busy as well. I will also give them so much pets and love till you get back so they won’t feel lonely and miss you.

Exactly what I needed! Anyone that is even bothering to come on this app/site definitely cares a lot about their fur babies. If that's the case, of course Trust and confidence in your Rover partner makes all the difference in the world. I was so fortunate to have found Beverly last second. She was incredibly communicative throughout my entire process and worked around my schedule and timing. The biggest thing for me was that I was going overseas so I definitely was stressed out and she made me feel extra relieved by sending plenty of pictures and keeping in contact whenever needed. She's the one! Give her a shot if you're near!

Yuval was INCREDIBLE with our dog, Benji. She really took the time to get to know him and really leaned into his interests and needs. Some days he needed a more of a walk and other days he needed playtime or cuddles, and she gave him what he needed. She also gave very detailed daily updates and tons of photos. It really felt like she treated Benji as her own and we will forever be grateful to her for that. Knowing Benji was with someone who really cared made being away from him so much less painful. I would highly recommend her services, especially if your dog has a big personality like Benji does.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your South El Monte. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in South El Monte.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
