About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always been a big part of my life. I’ve raised 5 dogs of my own—Money, Little Bro, Sugar, Latte, and my beloved senior pup Bear Bear, who was with us until the age of 18. I’ve also cared for friends’ dogs, including overnight stays in my home. I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and needs, and I treat every pup in my care with the same patience, love, and attention I give my own. I also love capturing sweet, candid moments and sharing photos with pet parents so they can see how their pups are doing while they’re away. “Courtney was an amazing dog sitter for us. We had last minute dog-sitting plans fall through (over Christmas!). Not only was she available, but she came over a day or two in advance of our departure to meet me, get the understanding of our house, but most importantly to meet Frank (our old man dog)! Frank is often shy, anxious, and slow to warm up to new people. He’s also really old and thus fairly high-needs for a dog (e.g., has to be carried outside and in, takes medications, is finicky). Courtney made him feel completely at ease and moved to match the dog’s pace. She also sent thorough and kind updates during our whole vacation—always including a picture or two with each update, unprompted. Courtney assured me she had a variety of experience and was not afraid of giving him medicine OR if Frank decided to stay in bed with her at night. She seemed knowledgeable about his breed and confident in her ability to handle any situation that might come up. Regardless, she was a great communicator, confident in her dog watching abilities, and made me feel totally at ease leaving my elderly best friend with her while we went overseas. I totally trust her and would recommend her to anyone (especially an anxious dog-parent, like me) looking for someone to stay with their dog, walk their dog, or whatever! Courtney is was an amazing find and we look forward to having her stay with Frank again! Well, well worth her price.”

About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs for more than 35 years for neighbors, friends and family including special needs, vision impaired, in diapers, senior/older dogs, aggressive behaviors as well as big and small. I’ve cared for many breeds both in their homes as well as my home. I’m a professional musician and I work 1-3 nights/week so my schedule varies and is flexible when planned in advance. I can sit in your home or mine. I try to schedule around my part time work schedule. My retired husband is my dog sitting partner so we can accommodate most schedules. Our home has a fenced backyard and a friendly mixed pointer and pug to keep your dog company. The dogs can enjoy the backyard frequently through the day, the back door is often kept open. During the night the dogs and are kept indoors from 12am-7:30am. Dogs can see on their own dog beds or even our sofas. We are a dog family and we’ve housed many dogs through the years. When caring for your dogs in your home, I try to maintain your routines as much as possible. I give lots of affection, petting frequently, brushing once a day. If owner prefers, I allow pets to sit with me, on me. I prefer not to sleep with them. However, if that is what they are accustomed to I am willing. Please warn me if they are loud snorers (like my husband lol)
