We had to go on a family trip for 7 days and we were more than nervous since Chip was not neutered yet and he is still a young pup with tons of energy. About: I’ve been caring for dogs for most of my life. I grew up with a German Shepherd who I helped care for from puppyhood until she passed when I was 18, giving me years of experience with walks, feeding, exercise, and lots of love. My mom prioritized cleanliness so I also know how to keep your dog and space clean. More recently, I’ve cared for a friend’s young Aussiedoodle on five separate occasions, including overnight stays, which gave me experience handling a high-energy dog with a consistent routine and plenty of attention needs. Whether your dog is young or old, my goal is always to provide reliable, attentive care and make them feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’m available on Fridays before 9am and after 4pm (can be flexible in between also) and on weekends I’m pretty flexible for multiple visits / walks per day. I am great at following directions and will respect any wishes you have for your home and pet. “I have to say, I was really nervous about boarding Wally for the first time but Ayman made the experience a breeze. She offered to come meet Wally prior to booking, we talked through his care, etc. When the day came, she took him and he made himself at home quickly. She provided updates daily, often with adorable photos and videos. While Wally was with Ayman, she had to evacute due to the fires and she assured me that Wally was safe and she would take him with her to a safe location. She made a potentially extremely stressuful experience completely stress free for me. Although I hope I never have to leave my boy for that long again, if I ever do I would trust Ayman, no questions asked. About: I have been an animal lover since I was a little kid, I have grown up with cats and dogs my entire life. I have a 6 year old goldador who is the best boy. We love to go on walks, go hiking, go to the beach, or go to the park. Haven’t been active as a sitter in Rover for awhile, but excited to get back into it. I currently work mostly from home, with a day or two at the office once a week to every other week. We go out 3-5 times a day with a morning walk, afternoon walk or quick potty break and long evening walk or go to the park. On the days I need to go to the office, your dog would need to be able to be ok at home anywhere from 3-6 hours. In my home with my dog, your dog will be taken care of like my own. Spoiled for sure with plenty of love and activity.

About: Hi there! I have long loved being a dog mom and thought to start sitting to give myself and my own dog some extra company and fun times. I can usually take up to two additional dogs to my own. If I am able to sit for your dog, I will be working from home. However, I am not available everyday. This is why I recommend planning in advance for my availability. I have a single family home with a fenced in dog run and patio for them to play in. They are free to be in the house and not be restricted in movements. However, I do not let pets on the furniture or beds. However doggy beds are available.

About: Hello! I have grown-up with dogs all my life. I currently have two adorable babies Charles and Tika (1year old siblings) who I love to pieces. Aside from my job as a nanny, I have dog sat more times than I can count and take my bosses dogs to the dog park 3 times a week for exercise and playtime! I have taken care of dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors and enjoy going to the dog park or walking around the neighborhood! It brings me so much joy and happiness into my life! I am a nanny and have been with the same family for over 16 years. I took care of three children but now I only have the youngest left. He is in school during the day and I am free from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays I am off. I have 6 hours free everyday to be able to take your fur baby/babies for some fun in the sun, exercise, explore, or fresh air! I safely transport my bosses dogs to and from home to the dog park. All dogs are on a leash until we arrive. Once we are there I play ball or walk around with them and always have my attention to make sure they are safe from any aggressive dogs or anything on the floor that they might want to eat. I bring my two little yorkie mixes with me for company and playtime with the other dogs. I carry wipes, poop bags, water, and hand sanitizer at all times because it comes in handy on a daily basis!

I have experience with puppies (my own dog gave birth to 9 puppies that I helped raise and care for!), senior dogs, and homes with multiple dogs. I currently work part time and am on call as needed, so my schedule is pretty flexible and I have plenty of time to spend with the dogs I care for. At home, my own dogs go out for walks at least twice a day, and I make sure they get lots of exercise, playtime, attention, and potty breaks throughout the day. On weekends, I’m usually home most of the time, so the dogs get even more company and care. I’m also home most evenings, so your dog won’t be left alone for long stretches. I always try to follow each dog’s normal routine as closely as possible because I know that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my main focus. I take time to learn each dog’s routine and personality so they can feel relaxed and at home with me. In my home, dogs are treated like part of the family and are always supervised. I only take a small number of dogs at a time so I can give each one plenty of attention, and I can separate them if needed to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. I make sure they get regular potty breaks, walks, fresh water, and lots of love throughout the day. About: Growing up, we always had a family dog, so I approach my care as if your pet is a member of my family. My experience began in college when I would housesit/dogsit for a family near my campus who needed care for their dog when they went out of town or couldn't be home on time. Their dog needed medication, so I was responsible for feeding and administering the medication. Throughout the years, I've helped out friends and family and have been a certified Rover sitter for about three years. I work remote with a flexible work schedule. I take walks at different times of the day, so adding your pet's care to my day is not a problem. I would love for your dog to join me on my walks or visit with them during the day for companionship and playtime. ***NOTE: I am also able to provide doggy daycare in your home rather than mine if that works better for you. My neighborhood is great for walks with the ability to stay on quieter streets if your dog prefers less traffic noise. Regarding care in your home, I am happy to follow all instructions that keep your pet comfortable in their space. I find it very important to keep your dog's schedule as normal as possible to avoid any distress while you are away.

About: I look forward to sharing my love and attention with pets whose people need a helping hand. I grew up with multiple cats and dogs and became responsible for my own dog at 12. Together my dog and I successfully completed her Canine Good Citizen training where I learned about effective motivation and discipline, animal safety and public etiquette. Throughout my life, I have regularly volunteered with local animal shelters to assist with dog walking and cat socialization and recently I have been helping my housemate with her dog boarding business. I am working part time this summer with flexible hours that give me lots of free time and availability for pet care. I am an active person and would love to walk or jog with your pup. Safety always comes first. Beyond that, each pet is unique and I prefer to follow owner guidelines and routines that make their pet most comfortable. Having your person go away can be very stressful for a pet, so I always do my best to be attentive to their needs while maintaining a calm and familiar environment.

“What more can I say? Athene took amazing care of our Aussie Chip. We had to go on a family trip for 7 days and we were more than nervous since Chip was not neutered yet and he is still a young pup with tons of energy. About: I've shared my home with two to four dogs since coming to LA 15 years ago. Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced yard. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention — no other animals to compete with. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress.
“Yoko was absolutely amazing! We left our little guy, Boogey with her for an extended trip out of town, and it was his first boarding experience that was longer than 5 days. Boogey has some separation anxiety but Yoko put our minds to ease with her calm and warm demeanor! Yoko was able to maintain his walking schedule, feeding schedule and also sent photo/video updates during his stay that put our own separation anxiety at ease! This is why I can’t recommend Yoko enough; during Boogey’s stay, he had an allergic reaction (most likely a bug bite/bee sting from a walk) and Yoko calmly let us know what was happening, took him to the vet when we requested him to be brought there, and immediately got him the attention he needed, all while having an open line of communication with us. It’s every dog parent’s worst nightmare for something bad to happen while you’re away, but Yoko truly went above and beyond making sure he was well cared for in our absence. We can tell Boogey LOVED staying with Yoko, and we’ll be sure to have him stay with her for our next extended time out of town!”

But after our meet and greet with Janelle and Alvin, I immediately felt at ease and knew our babies would be in great hands. I’m so happy to say that instinct was absolutely right. They took care of our two dogs for two days, and the entire experience was seamless. Janelle was incredible with communication! She sent updates and photos regularly without me ever needing to ask, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away.
