“My husband and I booked a pet friendly hotel in Pasadena and planned on going to the 626 night market last weekend. At the time of booking, we didn't realize pets weren't allowed to be left unattended at the hotel at any time. Desperate to figure out where to leave my 10 month old pup Emma for a couple of hours, I learned about Rover and (around 9:30pm) began to message everyone and anyone I could in hopes of finding a last minute pet sitter. Angelica was quick to respond and very eager to help me with my situation. Upon dropping my pup off, her personality was very welcoming and her sons also looked very excited to spend time with my Emma. Although my pick up time was anticipated to be pretty late (around midnight or 1am!), she didn't seemed bothered by it at all. She truly is a pet lover! “Adrienne and Mike were a great team in caring for Sadie, our 14 pound 7 year old cockapoo. Sadie is a bit timid and has only stayed with one previous caregiver. So a 16 day stay was a concern as Sadie is very attached to her two human parents. Adrienne and Mike helped prepare Sadie to know we would be coming back for her by offering two complimentary stay overs, 2 hours each, for Sadie to get used to them and their home and to know we would be coming back to pick her up. Sadie has always been hand fed and Adrienne had no problem in realizing that on her own and accomodating Sadie's special need. In interviewing different care givers we found that not all caregivers let you see the actual inside of the home where their pup will be staying. But this was no problem for Adrienne and Mike. We also liked that they were a 2 person team so if one of them came down ill, there would always be a back-up. We definately recommend this two person team to others. Thank you Adrienne and Mike !”

About: I rescued my dog Gabbi 10 years ago, as she was surrendered from an overcrowded home. She is a 14 lb mixed breed who is the boss in this house. Since having her, I’ve dog sat for multiple friends, overnight, including a Samoyed, Pitbull, German Shepherd, and Rottweiler mix. My dog is around 13 years old and doesn’t enjoy playing with other dogs, but she’ll happily go on a long walk together! She also likes her personal space and can make it known, but she’s never had any major issues with other dogs. She resource guards, so I keep feeding time separate. I work from home full time M-F, between 9am-5pm. I have a generally flexible schedule, taking meetings throughout the day. I like to take the dogs out throughout my work day as a way to keep me awake! I live in a townhome style condo with a small fenced patio. I live in a very walkable neighborhood, making it easy to take the dogs out. I will happily adopt your dog’s usual schedule to keep them as regulated as possible.

About: Hello! I have grown-up with dogs all my life. I currently have two adorable babies Charles and Tika (1year old siblings) who I love to pieces. Aside from my job as a nanny, I have dog sat more times than I can count and take my bosses dogs to the dog park 3 times a week for exercise and playtime! I have taken care of dogs of all ages from puppies to seniors and enjoy going to the dog park or walking around the neighborhood! It brings me so much joy and happiness into my life! I am a nanny and have been with the same family for over 16 years. I took care of three children but now I only have the youngest left. He is in school during the day and I am free from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday. Saturdays I am off. I have 6 hours free everyday to be able to take your fur baby/babies for some fun in the sun, exercise, explore, or fresh air! I safely transport my bosses dogs to and from home to the dog park. All dogs are on a leash until we arrive. Once we are there I play ball or walk around with them and always have my attention to make sure they are safe from any aggressive dogs or anything on the floor that they might want to eat. I bring my two little yorkie mixes with me for company and playtime with the other dogs. I carry wipes, poop bags, water, and hand sanitizer at all times because it comes in handy on a daily basis!

“I have a Great Dane who is very reactive to people and moving objects. I needed a walker in an emergency and contacted rover and choose Julien to walk him 2 times a day. I was worried at first however after our meet and greet I felt confident with my choice. Julien was perfect! He handled my precious dog with ease and confidence. Even when my dog did a few naughty things in my house he kindly took action and handled the problem as well as notified me and help correct the issue. Please be respectful to Rover’s sitters. I am used to working with dogs of all ages and sizes; I currently own a mischievous dachshund mix and a year old tabby cat. Past care and house sitting experience includes: monitoring the dog/cat's overall health and administering any medication, replenishing food and water accordingly, going out for walks, having playtime, and cleaning messes (if any were made in the house or outside). Depending on the age and physical condition of the dog, I'm comfortable walking or running on any terrain with it. I can also work on a flexible schedule with my clients, i.e. planning around their family, work schedule, vacation time, etc. In emergency situations involving the client's dog, I will contact the client immediately, as well as the closest vet clinic. Please let me know in advance if your pet suffers any serious conditions, such as arthritis, epilepsy, heart/kidney issues, etc., and I will help them accordingly. As or right now, I work from home. During a drop in visit, I stay with the pets most of the time, only stepping out to run errands. In the case of an overnight stay, I sleep over and keep an eye on all pets in the home. I have experience crating dogs, and will keep certain rooms off limits per owner’s request. Please let me know if your dog isn’t allowed to go in a certain area of the backyard for any reason. I can work on a flexible schedule with my clients, i.e. planning around their family, work schedule, vacation time, etc. At this time, I work remotely, and won't leave pets alone for longer than 4 hours at a time. During a drop in visit, I stay with the pets most of the time, only stepping out to run errands. In the case of an overnight stay, I sleep over and keep an eye on all pets in the home. As a courtesy, I leave my own dog at home in the care of my roommates. She's still training to be socialized with other dogs. My schedule is flexible at this time. I have remote work, and can easily connect with my job as long as an internet is stable. I will stay with the pets overnight for long term stays, and drop in for at least an hour during the day as requested through booking. Safety is my top priority; names and numbers of close contacts (neighbors, relatives, friends, etc.) and vet clinic information are greatly appreciated. I do not distribute this information outside of my job out of respect for privacy. I currently work from home, and run 1-2 errands during the day. If your dog has special needs, i.e. medicine schedule, mobility issues, etc., let me know immediately and I will accommodate your pet as necessary. During overnight stays, I will be in the client’s home with the pets. This helps calm separation anxiety and ensures the home’s safety. For drop in visits, I will only stay up to an hour to walk the dog(s) and make sure they have food, water and medicine if need be.

About: I've shared my home with two to four dogs since coming to LA 15 years ago. Because I work from home, your pup gets a calm, dog-savvy human nearby all day — frequent yard breaks, play, and belly rubs instead of hours alone. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, medications, and high-energy dogs, and I keep my numbers small so every dog gets real one-on-one attention. I work from home on a flexible schedule, so your dog has company and supervision for most of the day — regular walks, play, and potty breaks, not long stretches alone. I offer boarding and daycare and take just one family's dog or two at a time, and I'm glad to keep your dog's normal routine for meals, naps, and bedtime. I always mark as unavailable any days I have travel or major time commitments that will keep me away from home for more than an hour or two, so they will have constant care while they're here. Your dog will have free range of my 3 bedroom home, detached studio, and very large, securely fenced backyard full of fruit trees. I don't have pets of my own right now, so your pup gets the whole space and my full attention. I'm happy to crate or set up a quiet separate area if that's what your dog is used to, and I keep things calm and low-stress. I have a doggy door for dogs who prefer to let themselves in/out at their leisure. I converted our detached 2 car garage into a recording studio, where I work, so we have the quietest place in town in the event we have to make it through fireworks or if your pet prefers quiet or isolation. Both the house and studio have their own separate HVAC systems, so they'll definitely stay comfortable. I have always slept with my own dogs, so happy to co-sleep with yours if that's what they're used to, but also glad to maintain whatever rules you generally set for them in regard to being on beds/furniture.
