“Rose is absolutely fantastic!!! She takes great care of Somi & very conscious of the things you have her take note of. My job schedule fluctuates and things come up so I appreciate the flexibility & all the help (especially for this past week!!). Thank you Rose!! 💜”

“Robin did a great job watching my two cats. She sent pictures and a detailed report of their activities during the visits. They were instantly comfortable with her, which was a relief because they tend to be a little shy or skittish. I'll definitely have Robin watch them again.”

About: I grew up with dogs and am an all-around animal lover. I’ve been pet-sitting for the past 5 years. I’m doting, consistent with walks, schedules, and playtime, and very clean and neat. I am about to start grad school, and will have free time when I am not in classes to walk and care for pets! I love being active, and am happy to go on meandering walks with lots of sniffing stops, fast walks/runs, and everything in between! I treat pets with lots of care, love, and attention. I am good at keeping their routines, giving lots of playtime and/or structure. I am very respectful of other’s homes. I will keep things neat and tidy.
“Mark was fantastic! My cat loved him so much! I came back and she was very happy. He followed my instructions super well and always sent videos and pictures with his daily update. Definitely will be rebooking!”

About: I am now a pet groomer. In my daily work, I can come into contact with various dogs. I know their personality traits and things to pay attention to. Every dog is unique. We must understand and love him. Master basic dog training techniques. The safety of your dog comes first at all times I work as a groomer three to four days a week and am available to take care of dogs in my free time, especially on weekends and evenings. I can spend time with your dog and offer grooming and care advice. Safety and compassion are my top priorities. Please rest assured that leaving your dog with me will keep her active and happy. When we visit dogs at home, we will communicate with the dog owners in advance, play with the dog in a designated area, and play games with the dog according to its preferences to keep the dog active and healthy.
“Went above and beyond! Took great care of my dog while I was working 12 hours days and took her for walks, and even brought her to his house and hung out with her when he didn't have to. I highly recommend!”

About: I love dogs… of all kinds! That’s an understatement. My boy is Sailor, the Siberian Husky you see in my profile. The other two dogs—Bokee & Penny—are my friend’s dogs that I dog-sit for whenever I’m needed. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, and I’m comfortable with any breed. Your furry friend will love hanging out with Auntie Tamara. I work for myself so I’ll have plenty of time for your fur babies. From feeding to walking to bathing to chilling, your pup and I will be the best of friends. In terms of my house, I have a yard with high walls so Sailor doesn’t even try to go anywhere unless it’s with me. When taking care of my friend’s dogs, they entrust me with their house key so I can come over and watch over the pups (even when they’re older, they’re always puppies in my eyes). When you ask me to dog-sit for you in your home, you can trust me to treat your space with the utmost respect. Same goes for the fur babies. They’re always in good hands with Auntie Tamara.

About: I've had my own dogs and cats for most of my life ranging from easy going to skittish and temperamental. I've been a go to pet carer for family, friends, and for hire since I was a teenager. I have experience with pets with complex dietary needs, medication regiments, very shy animals who don't deal well with being apart from their families, and high energy critters who need lots of stimulation. I treat them all with the patience and kindness they deserve while they are apart from their owners. I'm not living with a pet for the first time in a long time and miss I am working part time, which leaves me very flexible to care for your pets on your schedule as needed for drop in care or longer stays with your pet in their own home including nights, weekends, and overnights. I have a spacious hatchback that I can use to transport your pets. I cannot care for pets in my own home due to a highly allergic roommate, but I can fetch pets and take them wherever they need to be.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for most of my life and have experience caring for dogs of all ages. To prioritize your pet’s well-being, I exclusively care for one pet at a time, dedicating my undivided attention and offering ample love and care. 🐶 Rest assured your doggy will receive the utmost comfort and personalized care throughout their stay with me! I work from home and have the flexibility to accommodate multiple walks during the day for your pet. Additionally, depending on my availability, I am open to providing long-term pet sitting services. I live in a clean and spacious apartment, ensuring a comfortable environment for your furry friend. If needed, I can provide pick up and drop off for your pet!

“Michelle was incredible with our four cats. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and had fun with our boys. She sent tons of photos and updates. My boys had so much fun with her! Will definitely be rebooking!”

“Wouldn’t recommend or trust anyone else but Diana to watch our fur babies! They can both be a little high maintenance in their own ways and Diana went above and beyond to make sure they were well cared for while we were away. She communicated frequently and sent cute photos! We’re thankful to Diana and can’t wait her to book her next time we need assistance for Eazy & Onyx!”

“Cristina was very professional and took very good care of our kitties while we were away. She went above and beyond and helped us out with some house stuff too. She sent lots of pictures and videos and kept us updated about everything. We will definitely have her take care of our cats again.”

“Hannah was our savior when it came to needing a last minute drop in and she couldn’t have been more perfect. She was super communicative and sent tons of pictures from her time with Arthur. We will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

About: I've had dogs all my life and have always had a household full. My home is very dog friendly where they can come in and out of the house through a pet door to a big back yard and they basically have the run of the house. I treat them like family (I have 2 small dogs of my own). I've been taking care of the same dogs on and off since 2010 and the owner absolutely loves the care I give her two Schnauzers. I volunteered at the local humane society for six years before becoming a pet sitter. When in my care, dog owners need not worry about anything. They are in a home environment and get the loving care they are accustom to. I am assisted by my husband and adult son who lives with us in caring for the dogs. Dogs in my care make themselves at home very quickly. If a dog needs special care/treatment that is not a problem. I have experience in administering medication, injections and am a great teeth brusher! Most of all, the dogs in my care get the same love my own dogs get and they can sense this very quickly. I am very fortunate to live walking distance to a state-of-the-art dog park where dogs can run and play freely in a safe environment. I'm retired so I have a lot of time so being a dog sitter is ideal for my lifestyle. My canine guests have the run of the house as do my own dogs. I treat my canine guests life family. I sleep in the same room with them and am with them all the time since I'm retired.
About: I've taken care of animals in my community for over 7 years. I have ample experience taking care of dogs, cat, and rabbits of all ages and backgrounds. Rest assured I will be a gentle and responsible sitter to your furry friends! I have an 8 year old lop rabbit myself, and welcome the extra company in my day to day. NOTE: Please have up to date records of core vaccinations (namely rabies) available. Outdoor or Indoor/Outdoor hybrid cats and dogs will ideally be on flea/parasite preventatives regardless of services provided. If that is not the case just let me know so I can be aware! If cats are indoor ONLY this can be an exception. Rabbits will ideally be vaccinated against RHDV2 but if they are not, please inform me. Please also include existing or past diseases (coccidia, e. cuniculi, etc...) or any abnormal symptoms (large poops, jelly like substance in their poops, head tilt, etc....) I have a rabbit at home and they are much more vulnerable to diseases, so I have to prioritize her health! Thanks for understanding. I am currently in-between jobs and have ample time to accommodate to your pet's needs. I am flexible, so just let me know what you need! I am committed to transparency and will take any precautions that you deem necessary to keep your pet and your home safe. I do not board animals in my home as I have a rabbit and am unwilling to expose her to other animals due to the risks, but am more than happy to travel!

About: We are a husband-and-wife team who have lived with and loved dogs for over 20 years. This is not a high-volume job for us; we do this for the joy of being around animals and to stay active. Because we have a 14-year-old Standard Poodle of our own, we are very patient and observant with every pet we meet. We only take on a few dogs at a time so we can provide focused, high-quality care. My husband loves his morning walks and looks forward to keeping your dog company and getting them some fresh air. Since we already provide specialized care for our senior dog at home, we prefer to walk dogs that are generally healthy and mobile. While we are non-native English speakers, my wife is very comfortable using translation apps and earbuds to communicate clearly in person. Our daughter also helps us manage the app and scheduling to make sure everything goes smoothly. We are very dependable and will treat your pet like a member of our family. We are retired, so our schedule is very flexible and revolves around staying active and caring for our own dog. Paul enjoys a consistent morning walk and would love to have your pet join him for some fresh air and exercise to start the day. Because we only take on a few clients at a time, we can easily work around your specific timing needs for drop-offs, visits, or walks. Since we are home most of the time, your pet will rarely be left alone and will receive plenty of companionship throughout the day. Safety is our top priority. We live in a quiet residential area in West Hills with a secure, fenced yard where dogs can safely stretch their legs. We are very experienced with home maintenance and safety, recently completing a full home renovation, so we are mindful of keeping a clean and hazard-free environment. Whether in our home or yours, we are patient and observant caretakers. We understand the importance of following your specific instructions for feeding and routine to keep your dog feeling comfortable and secure.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Sierra Madre
Hannah is the best! She came to my rescue on short notice and under unusual circumstances. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable and capable. I cannot recommend Hannah highly enough! She is a lifesaver and absolutely wonderful to work with."
Rose was so lovely to work with! This was our first time leaving the kitties alone so we were a bit nervous, especially because we were going to be gone for a good chunk of time. But Rose was so kind and comforting and confident, and made sure to send us lots of pictures and updates during each of her visits. She took care of everything even with the kitties deciding to cough up some hairballs for her 😅 the kitties were very happy and we’ll be sure to book Rose again if we need a cat sitter in the future!

From the very first message to every single visit with our pup, Christine has been absolutely amazing! 🐾✨ She was always right on time, kept us in the loop with the sweetest updates, and sent tons of adorable photos and videos that made our day ❤️ She truly went above and beyond, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing our doggy was in such loving hands. Honestly, our pup hit the jackpot with her! 💕 If you’re thinking about booking, don’t hesitate, Christine is the best choice there is!!

Beverly did an amazing job taking care of my dog (she’s 9 but still has tons of energy) while my parents were out of town. I loved the daily updates/pictures and you can tell she genuinely enjoys taking care of all pets. She did all the chores perfectly and we have no complaints! This was our first time using rover and it was such an easy streamlined experience. Highly recommend having her as a rover sitter, and will be using her services again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
