About: Hi! I'm Sarah, a lifelong animal lover and proud dog mom to Margot, my sweet 11-year-old pit mix. I grew up with a beloved cat named Tigger who lived to the age of 18, and I've also cared for hamsters and other small pets throughout the years. Animals have always been an important part of my life, and I truly believe the love of a pet can be healing, comforting, and life-changing. I currently offer dog walking and drop-in visits, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply a reassuring presence while you're away, I'm committed to providing attentive and compassionate care. Because I've cared for pets at many different life stages, I'm comfortable with puppies, senior pets, administering medications, and following special diets or care instructions. I understand that every animal has a unique personality and routine, You can trust that I'll follow your instructions carefully and communicate clearly throughout every visit. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pet receives the same love, patience, and kindness they get from you. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. I have an 11-year-old pit mix, Margot, who keeps me active with walks, playtime, and plenty of love and attention. My schedule is currently very flexible, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs, including dog walks, drop-in visits, feeding schedules, medication administration, and extra time for pets who need a little more attention. I enjoy spending time with animals and believe consistency, patience, and affection help pets feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or a senior, I'll make sure they receive attentive, loving care. At this time, I provide care in my clients' homes through drop-in visits and dog walking services. Because I have a senior dog of my own, I am not currently offering pet boarding in my home. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and secure. I follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, administer medications if needed, clean litter boxes, take dogs on walks, engage in playtime, and give plenty of affection and companionship. I understand that every pet is unique. Some want lots of attention and belly rubs, while others prefer a quiet companion who respects their space. I take the time to learn each pet's personality, preferences, and needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free while you're away. My goal is to treat your home with respect and care for your pets as if they were my own family members.

“This was the second time Sheila watched our cats, coming twice a day to feed and check on them. She brought out all of their toys to break up the boredom of being left alone and sent her usual great updates. Communication is always above and beyond. Sheila’s number one on our sitter list.”

About: I offer dedicated, private boarding in Pasadena with a strict one-family-at-a-time policy. Your dog will receive personalized, high-attention care in a calm home environment, without ever having to compete with pets from multiple unfamiliar households. I have loved and cared for dogs since I was 6 years old. I also spent three years volunteering with the Walk Me Home Rescue group(as a volunteer and foster parent)—walking, socializing, and supporting rescue dogs across a wide range of breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. What You & Your Pup Can Expect: Attentive Supervision & 1-on-1 Focus: With my flexible schedule, your dog will never be left alone for long and will enjoy continuous attention, companionship, and customized routines. Friendly Playmate or Private Retreat: My sweet 5-year-old Border Collie loves having friends over to play. If your pup prefers quiet solo time, I can easily provide a separate, comfortable resting area alongside private walks and yard time. Secure Backyard Play: Supervised outdoor playtime, fresh air, and safe exercise in our secure yard. Daily Peace of Mind: High-quality daily photo and video updates showing meals, walks, and playtime so you always stay connected. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy, a social butterfly, or a senior who loves a peaceful routine, I treat every furry guest like my own. Feel free to message me with any questions—I look forward to meeting you and your pup at a Meet & Greet! I work part-time and am home for the vast majority of the day, giving me plenty of flexible time to give your pet constant attention and supervision. Our household has a fun, active routine: we let the dogs out into our yard every 2 to 3 hours for playtime, fetch, and frisbee. In addition to yard play, I take them on 1 to 2 dedicated neighborhood walks every day to ensure they get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Your pup will be welcomed into a warm, pet-loving home where they are treated like family. Alongside my own friendly dog, I have a 14-year-old brother, who is passionate about animals and loves keeping pets company with calm companionship and playtime. We prioritize safety and comfort above all. Our home has a secure yard for safe outdoor fun, and pets are never left unattended during activities. Whether your dog thrives on interactive play or prefers a cozy, quiet spot to relax, we tailor our routine to their unique personality and keep you updated with regular photos and message.
About: I've had dogs all my life and have always had a household full. My home is very dog friendly where they can come in and out of the house through a pet door to a big back yard and they basically have the run of the house. I treat them like family (I have 2 small dogs of my own). I've been taking care of the same dogs on and off since 2010 and the owner absolutely loves the care I give her two Schnauzers. I volunteered at the local humane society for six years before becoming a pet sitter. When in my care, dog owners need not worry about anything. They are in a home environment and get the loving care they are accustom to. I am assisted by my husband and adult son who lives with us in caring for the dogs. Dogs in my care make themselves at home very quickly. If a dog needs special care/treatment that is not a problem. I have experience in administering medication, injections and am a great teeth brusher! Most of all, the dogs in my care get the same love my own dogs get and they can sense this very quickly. I am very fortunate to live walking distance to a state-of-the-art dog park where dogs can run and play freely in a safe environment. I'm retired so I have a lot of time so being a dog sitter is ideal for my lifestyle. My canine guests have the run of the house as do my own dogs. I treat my canine guests life family. I sleep in the same room with them and am with them all the time since I'm retired.
About: I provide personalized one-on-one pet services to ensure every pet receives dedicated attention and care. For each service, I only accept one client’s pet(s) at a time. This means I do not combine pets from different households during the same service, allowing me to focus entirely on your pet’s comfort, routine, and individual needs. Once you book my service, I reserve that scheduled time slot exclusively for your pet. I do not accept another client for that same service period, ensuring your pet receives my full attention without distractions or divided care. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate almost any time. Just send me a message whenever you need my availability, and I'll be happy to work with your schedule! If you’re a new Rover user, use my referral code for your first booking and get $20 off! https://www.rover.com/sit/annax02660 When your pet is in my care, I treat them as if they were my own, with love, patience, and attention. I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for by following their usual routine, providing plenty of affection and exercise, and paying close attention to their individual needs. My goal is to give you peace of mind, knowing your pet is in caring and reliable hands.
About: I've cared for dogs throughout my life, including feeding, walking, cleaning up after them, and recognizing their individual needs and personalities. I am available from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM for dog walks and drop-in visits. I enjoy staying active, so I love taking dogs on walks and making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they need while their owners are away. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to get to know what makes them feel comfortable. Whether we're going for a walk or spending time together during a drop-in visit, my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, cared for, and loved while you're away. I'll always follow your instructions carefully and keep you updated with photos and messages after every visit.

About: I have a deep love for animals & was privileged to grow up with a dog that lived till 16!! I have had experience with both puppies & senior dogs! I will find any chance to pet a dog walking by & any excuse to spend time with any animal!! I am currently in university but I am free every day of the week after 1pm! My classes start at 11:30 so I need to go to a house to feed the pets or take them on a walk before 11:30 I can certainly do so! weekends are a bit more tricky but I can work around any schedule:) I currently don’t have any pets at home but I have a big front yard & backyard which are both gated, but regardless your pet will be under my supervision!!
About: I’ve taken care of both dogs and cats for over 5 years, including seniors, shy rescues, and energetic kittens. I’ve helped foster and rehome multiple cats, and currently care for three of my own. Friends and neighbors often rely on me to feed, clean, and spend quality time with their pets. I’m gentle, attentive, and love learning each animal’s unique personality. Pet care has always been a part of my life, and every interaction with animals feels incredibly healing and meaningful to me. I wish I could welcome even more animals into my life, but since I can’t right now, I treat every pet I care for like family whether they live in my home or yours. Pet care is already part of my daily life. I have three cats at home, including one I'm currently fostering. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and love being around them as much as possible. I provide a calm, pet-friendly space with lots of love and patience. I'm especially experienced with shy or anxious cats and dogs, and I make sure every pet feels safe, understood, and cared for. My own pets are well socialized, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions you have.
“Hannah was our savior when it came to needing a last minute drop in and she couldn’t have been more perfect. She was super communicative and sent tons of pictures from her time with Arthur. We will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

“Sonia consistently updated me everyday with pictures and a very detailed summary on how my babies were doing and if they took their medicine. This really helped put my mind at ease! I would definitely rehire Sonia again.”

About: I've had my own dogs and cats for most of my life ranging from easy going to skittish and temperamental. I've been a go to pet carer for family, friends, and for hire since I was a teenager. I have experience with pets with complex dietary needs, medication regiments, very shy animals who don't deal well with being apart from their families, and high energy critters who need lots of stimulation. I treat them all with the patience and kindness they deserve while they are apart from their owners. I'm not living with a pet for the first time in a long time and miss I am working part time, which leaves me very flexible to care for your pets on your schedule as needed for drop in care or longer stays with your pet in their own home including nights, weekends, and overnights. I have a spacious hatchback that I can use to transport your pets. I cannot care for pets in my own home due to a highly allergic roommate, but I can fetch pets and take them wherever they need to be.
“Lawrence was amazing with our dog Kika! She can be a bit nervous around new people, but she immediately took to Lawrence! He was very consistent and timely with his drop-in visits! Lawrence provided fantastic communication, sending updates, videos and photos during each drop-in visit! I loved seeing my dog so happy! Lawrence took care of Kika with the utmost kindness and attention! We would absolutely recommend Lawrence to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

About: I am 20 and got my first pet at 5 years old! I love all animals. I am 13 years old in the picture of me and my pup. I have three doggies, I feed, bathe, and walk all three pups on a daily basis to ensure they are as strong and healthy as they can be. Because of my years of experience with my doggies I got recommended to family members to care for their pets when they are on vacation. I have been taking care of friends, family, and neighbors pets for the last 4 years. I love to stay active as I have been a competitive athlete for 17 years. I have a day job as a gymnastics coach and rock climb daily recreationally. Pet care and dog walking fit into my daily schedule in the morning or afternoon before my shift begins or after a morning climb. For dog walking I carry my own supplies in case of emergencies such as universal leash (approved my pet parent, bags, healthy natural treats(approved by pet parent), and water. I always walk or do a light jog at the pace the dog is comfortable with and make sure they feel safe.

“Sonjia is absolutely fantastic! We thought our dogs would take naps after we left the house and left them with her but instead they played for almost the entire time we were gone. That’s a testament to how much they immediately liked her! It’s scary to leave our babies with someone new, especially with our puppy having some health issues but Sonjia immediately made us feel at ease and her expertise and confidence with animals/dogs was instantly apparent. So glad to have found her!!”

About: I love dogs… of all kinds! That’s an understatement. My boy is Sailor, the Siberian Husky you see in my profile. The other two dogs—Bokee & Penny—are my friend’s dogs that I dog-sit for whenever I’m needed. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, and I’m comfortable with any breed. Your furry friend will love hanging out with Auntie Tamara. I work for myself so I’ll have plenty of time for your fur babies. From feeding to walking to bathing to chilling, your pup and I will be the best of friends. In terms of my house, I have a yard with high walls so Sailor doesn’t even try to go anywhere unless it’s with me. When taking care of my friend’s dogs, they entrust me with their house key so I can come over and watch over the pups (even when they’re older, they’re always puppies in my eyes). When you ask me to dog-sit for you in your home, you can trust me to treat your space with the utmost respect. Same goes for the fur babies. They’re always in good hands with Auntie Tamara.
“Very pleased to have found Cathy and Andres on Rover! You can feel the genuine love they have for their four-legged charges. I felt safe and our pup got taken care of...perfect!”

Alyssa has been taking care of our two dogs. One of them needs special care such as insulin administration 2x/day and some pills. She is easy to communicate with and sent us regular updates. We were comfortable leaving our fur babies while we went on vacation. We highly recommend Alyssa! :)

She took such great care of my cat! She was attentive, caring, and always communicated promptly. She was also flexible and adjusted her approach and communication based on the situation. I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. Highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
