“Alyssa is absolutely fantastic. She was so patient and sweet with our Pomeranian, who is very difficult and anxious with new people. Alyssa is also incredibly communicative and very thoughtful. I can’t recommend her enough”

“I am so lucky to have William’s help with my high energy and rambunctious puppy. He is patient, so knowledgeable and communicative. Anyone would be fortunate to work with William.”

About: Hi there! I’m Jacqueline — a proud UCLA and Johns Hopkins alum turned full-time mom and lifelong animal lover. With plenty of hands-on experience caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, fish, and birds, I’m here to offer your furry (or feathered!) family members the same love and care I give my own crew of two kids, three cats, and two dogs. Located in Van Nuys (Lake Balboa), I’m happy to help local families with drop-ins, walks, or boarding. For boarding guests, we offer a spacious home with a dedicated pet-friendly room, an open downstairs living area, and a generous backyard to explore. Please note: we’re a kid- and dog-friendly household, but if your pet prefers a quieter space, we’re happy to accommodate. We have a dedicated downstairs bedroom for pets who like more quiet in between walks or outdoor playtime. Lots of options! Let’s connect — I’d love to meet your critters! As a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, I’m able to give your pets plenty of time, attention, and care throughout the day. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or just keeping them company, they’ll never feel alone! In my home, pets are treated like family. I provide a safe, loving, and attentive environment with lots of interaction, play, and snuggles. With a flexible stay-at-home schedule, I’m around throughout the day to ensure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and never alone. I have a dedicated pet-friendly space, plus a spacious backyard for supervised outdoor time. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely to keep pets feeling secure and happy in their own environment. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, walks, or simply being a calming presence, I make sure each visit is personalized and full of care.
“Katherine was the best!! We met up with her ahead of time and just had the best chat. Couldn’t be more comfortable having her watch Riley. She was right on time both days and took great care of our little guy. We’d gladly hire her again and plan to!!”

“Kim is the best!! She is communicative, reliable and offered me the most reassurance about my kitties when a few things didn’t quite go to plan while I was gone. Thank you Kim!!”

“I’m soo grateful to Jill for dropping in to give dinner and a bit of playtime while I was out of town for the day. I had peace-of-mind, and the videos that I received reflected two very happy pups. Thank you Jill!”

“Andrea took great care of our two kitties while we were away; we’d definitely book with her again! She’s a great communicator and is also very punctual. She has a calm and grounded energy and our cats came out to greet her right away at the first meet and greet. Thank you, Andrea!”
About: Hi there! You can call me Joy :) when I care for your pet I will send you updates with pictures and can communicate every good, not so good, and/or boring detail with you! I do not hesitate to ask for clarification on anything when it comes to the needs of you and your pet. I am also happy to help you with any other house chores while you are away (collecting mail, watering plants, etc). I find it important to set up a meet and greet with you and your pet if possible. When I care for your pet I understand that I am in the space they call home. Building trust with you and your pet is an important first step for me to provide the best services for your needs. In 2018 I adopted a dog of my own and she is my world! I adopted my dog through Best Friends Animal Shelter and she came with little to no background information. She was fearful and showed signs of a traumatized past. I had to train a puppy during the “T-Rex” phase (RIP many articles of clothing and furniture legs) and learned that several rounds of fetch will only slow a working dog for about 20 min before they’re ready to go again. The biggest skill I learned when adopting my dog was handling her reactivity. She was the sweetest girl at home, mostly shy in the beginning and hesitant to come out of her shell. So it was a huge shock when taking her out on her first few walks to see her lunge and pull with all her might towards everything and everyone that passed by. Her size and breed made it especially stressful and embarrassing and there were many days where I felt like I couldn’t handle it. With a lot of patience and treats and maybe also some crying Kona came out of her first year at home a thriving happy girl! Bringing her home was one of the most challenging experiences of my life but watching her grow and blossom into the silly, loving pup she is has been the greatest reward. I’m in the process of preparing for grad school and would love to prioritize pet care as my main job if possible, I am eager to build a clientele! As the owner of a reactive dog I am comfortable reading behavioral cues that may indicate if your pet is in need of extra support, attention, or space.
About: I always had dogs in our family and I was taking care of them. Also, I took care of our family’s and friend’s dogs. I like to interact, to play with them, that they won’t feel alone. Fortunately, I am home always to give potty breaks, provide treats, and get in some cuddle and playtime. I always had dogs.. Three years ago, I had three dogs. Two of them passed away. Third one, Chihuahua, who passed away last year. I missed my dogs. It’s very soon and difficult for me to get another dog, but I will be happy to have guest pets in our house. I live in a house with backyard. I have a fully fenced backyard if your pup loves to be outside. I am home all day and night, and dogs are my life. I take them out for walks around a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Lots of birds, trees, squirrels, and all the fun stuff dogs enjoy.
About: By 18, I began working in the animal field via shelter and/or veterinary assistant. I have a cat, & grew up on having several pets with familiarity of caretaking other animals. I am a yoga teacher, reiki master, tattoo artist, and musician. I can speak English, Spanish, and do American Sign Language fluently but I do have some knowledge in French, Japanese and German. Working in the vet field & taking animal science helped me learn a variety of ways for animal wellness. Works as a daily care service to provide comfort and care in the individuals that need extra support such as animals and people. Be one to support for all. For my cat, I have a few indoor trees for his jumping instincts. Also providing him a safe space to make sure he has food every morning and evening. Clean water bowl daily. Same when I pet sit, make sure they are well fed and able to rest comfortably. I do also providing walks with my cat as he love to be outside.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I have memory my aunt is a vet so I used to go with her whenever I could and loved taking care of the dogs and playing with them, I truly believe they are the best partner someone can have. I am currently in college and taking online classes, so most of the time I am free, and I would love spending that free time walking dogs. I have 1 dog and 2 cats in my hometown, we have a very big yard were we used to play all day with them, and at night everyone sleeps inside in their beds, they live very happy💕

About: I have been working in the veterinary field for 5 years. I take a gentle approach and give pets the time they need to get comfortable with me. My schedule can vary every month but I am generally available evenings. No worries though, I would be able to accommodate to your fur baby’s needs! I’d play with their favorite toys and create a comfortable, calming environment, ensuring they feel safe and at ease without feeling like I’m intruding on their space.
“Maryan, is the first sitter we’ve tried out on Rover and we are so glad we chose her to watch our 5 month old Aussiedoodle puppy! As first time pup parents we were a bit hesitant to leave our puppy with anyone other than friends or relatives, but Maryan did such an amazing job at making us feel at ease. She was extremely professional during our meet and greet with her, asked us several questions about our puppy’s needs, personality and made sure to confirm any special requests we had about his visit ahead of time. Since this was our first time using a sitter we weren’t exactly sure what to expect but she went above and beyond in making sure to communicate with us promptly, following the detailed list of instructions we left her, and even leaving us a thoughtful handwritten note and Polaroid of our puppy to come home to. Thank you again, Maryan, for taking care of our baby!”

“I believe this is the third or fourth time that Desiree has performed drop-in visits for our cat, Mr. Darcy. On each occasion, she has been very reliable and diligent in following the care instructions left for her. She has also been very willing to communicate as needed to ensure that our expectations will be met and that we will come home to a pet that was well cared for. We continue to highly recommend Desiree's services.”

North Hills pet parents share their Rover experiences
Andrea took great care of our two kitties while we were away; we’d definitely book with her again! She’s a great communicator and is also very punctual. She has a calm and grounded energy and our cats came out to greet her right away at the first meet and greet. Thank you, Andrea!
Kimberly was so good taking care of my Marni. She feed her just like we asked because Marni is very allergic to a lot of things. I seen on the cameras how sweet she treated Marni. Also and most importantly Marni loved her. This was our first time using this app and she made the experience using this app pleasant.

Aliyah is simply wonderful. We had her do a couple drop in visits on our very anxious dog. She was very punctual and sent a lot of cute pictures of my dog having a really good time. And he just doesn’t like that with everybody…so it says something about this wonderful sitter. when we got home, the dog was in a great mood. We would 1000% use her again. Thanks, Aliyah!

Leo was absolutely incredible!! He helped me out with my little puppy. He took really good care of her, and she really took to him. I found him to be very trust worthy and honestly very rebookable. He’s very affordable for those who need help with their furry pal. He really exceded my expectations and very flexible.

Vanessa was great! She came over a few days before our trip to meet our two cats and see where everything is. She sent us photos and gave them some loving which was great to see. She did everything we asked and we came home to a clean kitty environment. Very professional and sweet. Would totally book again!

Isabella is everything one could wish for in a dog sitter. She engaged with Rowan immediately, and has lovely calm energy--which is a great experience for our highly active pup (and us as well!). She took care of all his evening needs-- feeding, walking, and playtime, and was the perfect companion to our little guy.

I’m so grateful for the amazing care Conner gave to Kiki while we were away! 🐱 She came every other day to check in, gave her food, water, attention, and even made sure she got the medication she needed. Knowing Kiki was in good hands gave me such peace of mind. Highly recommend her if you need someone reliable and caring to look after your furry friend!
