About: For four years, I’ve helped take care of my mom’s dog, so I’m very familiar with daily pet needs, from exercise and enrichment to maintaining routines. I’m gentle, attentive, and always focused on making pets feel safe and loved. I am currently a student, so I have plenty of flexibility for pet care throughout the week. I make sure each pet gets consistent attention, playtime, and care that fits smoothly into my daily routine. I create a calm, safe environment for every pet in my care. I follow all feeding instructions, keep routines consistent, and make sure pets always have fresh water and a comfortable space to relax. I stay attentive, use positive handling, and prioritize each pet’s comfort and well‑being. I treat every animal with the same patience and care I give my own family’s dog.

About: Since 2009, I have had dogs... I absolutely love them (and really all animals)! I cared for my two dogs until their passing at approximately 9 years of age since they were puppies. While in graduate school, I volunteered at the Oakland Animal Shelter for a few months taking care of pigeons, such as feeding them and cleaning their cages. So, if you have some unusual animals- I am open to taking care of them too! I also had a 2 week experience cat sitting for my cousin's senior cat by feeding/giving her water and general watching her. So, I have good experience with taking care of cats too although I have never had a cat personally. At the moment, I have my senior dog, Mr. Beau, an 11 year American Staff Terrier I adopted in 2023 at the shelter. While I was at the Oakland Animal Shelter, staff made it known that senior animals are the most often overlooked animals for adoption and that made me feel sad :( So once I was able to, I made it a mission to adopt a senior pup, and I am so happy and fulfilled with my decision. As with any senior (including humans), they come with special needs, such as different medications, loss of hearing, limited walking, increase in illnesses, etc. My dog has had many complications, but with my great patience with senior pups, I feel confident in taking care of their specific needs! I know what it is like to trust strangers with taking care of your pet- its scary! Mr. Beau has specific senior needs and is picking, so I hope my experience can make you feel more comfortable with choosing me to take care of your pet when you're away! Experience: senior dogs, puppies, cats, birds, or other types of pets. I am open-minded! I was laid off from my job at the end of June, so I while I am applying to full time work, I have time to take care of pets in the meantime to fill my weekly schedule! While I cannot provide pet sitting services at my own home because my dog is not friendly with other dogs (sad face), I am skilled in meeting with my where my clients are at. I love to ask questions about the pet's history, current physical state, quirks, boundaries, etc. so I don't cause unnecessary stress or issues. Depending on the pet's attitudes and boundaries, I am open to playing, walking, or just simply checking in on them. I want to try to make their environment as healthy and safe as possible, so for instance, if its too hot in the house, I'd like to verify with the owner is opening a window or using the air conditioner is okay.

About: I love all animal, have a lot of patience when it comes to pets and enjoy all outside time to play and take in the sun! I am currently a college student taking online classes that are at my own pace. So I have plenty of free time and able to give pets my full attention. I have fenced backyard with a lot of space for the fur babies to run around, with a green grassy area. Along with a pet of my own who loves other dogs.

About: I have cared for dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. I was taught that the animals eat first because they can’t speak. I enjoy spending time with animals. They are great company I believe petting an animal can lower your blood pressure. Your pets need extra affection while you’re gone. I’m there for that. I am a retired mom of self-sufficient teenagers. My flexible schedule allows me to do overnights and weekends and multi night care. I look forward to these jobs. I’m experienced with crating. I love some dog walking exercise. I also really enjoy spending time in a backyard as long as it’s fenced in and secure.

About: I have had cats in the family since I was three. I had a newborn kitten in 8th grade I would wake up at 4a.m. before school to bottle feed. I have only had a dog for a day and was the one responsible until they found a new home. I volunteered at animal shelters through the years since high school, mostly in the cat room, but have taken a few dogs out from the kennel with a leash. I took an animal caretaker course in 12th grade during weekends at a Los Angeles animal shelter, where we were taught how to walk a dog, take them out of the kennels, different breeds and various animal species. The last time I signed up to volunteer at a few animal shelters was before 2020 and was the last time I took a training course. I went a few times to each before the shutdown. This was the only time I had a day of learning about taking care of rabbits. I have dogsat a friend’s German Shepard and chihuahua/weenie for a few days. They already knew me and German Shepard was a trained assisting dog, so they were mellow with me already. I have dogsat two pugs for a few days, that I had not met before, who ended up snoring next to me. I am currently a part time in home caretaker for my mom. I began being her caretaker around 2018. Since I am a part time in home caretaker, I can sometimes have a flexible schedule. I do have something’s I must do everyday, but have time around that where I can pass by and help someone else now. I have a cat at home I spend quality time with and also give him space because he likes to follow and be next to me, but not be smothered or on my lap. I clean the litter box right after he goes to the bathroom and wipe dingleberries. I have had a cat that I used to walk on the leash, but Rupert is not used to it, so I have not walked a cat since. He is comfortable sitting right on the entrance when the door is open and he only walks right by there on his own. He is not a runner, I have had a cat that was a runner and we had to keep the door closed. I change the water bowl a few times a day and brush the coat. I have not brushed pets teeth because he is not comfortable with it, I tried. With all friends pets that let me pet them, I also give massages , as well as scritches and scratches, cats and dogs. I have toys my cat didn’t use and then became his favorite, when he starts getting excited from pets and wants to scratch, I put a toy on him and he can let his energy out on that. With my boyfriend’s cat I learned to walk around cats that scratch legs when entering. He now comes to the door and greets me like a puppy, I can pet him and notice when he is about to go into hunter mode and move myself out of the way. With dogs I had to learn the barking at the door and finding a way to distract if they are too loud or it is too long. We also had to keep on their walking schedule that goes with our friends work schedule. The dogs I took care of had no backyard to run around too much, but they had toys and were given pets, cuddles and snacks.

I have three strictly indoor cats of my own, so I’m used to managing a multi-pet household. I keep up with multiple litter boxes daily, make sure they always have fresh water and dry food, feed them wet food twice a day, and at minimum play with them an hour a day. I regularly look after an older dog who gets two hours of walks a day to keep him active. I make sure he’s fed at 8:00 PM on the dot, and because he loves his crate, I safely tuck him in there whenever I have to step out for a bit so he feels secure. I’m completely comfortable with specialized medical care. One of my regular clients has three cats, and one requires time-sensitive medications via an inhaler and oral syringe. I also have experience with modern pet tech, like automatic litter boxes, and I follow the owner's schedule for cleaning them out and refreshing the automatic water fountain.

About: By 18, I began working in the animal field via shelter and/or veterinary assistant. I have a cat, & grew up on having several pets with familiarity of caretaking other animals. I am a yoga teacher, reiki master, tattoo artist, and musician. I can speak English, Spanish, and do American Sign Language fluently but I do have some knowledge in French, Japanese and German. Working in the vet field & taking animal science helped me learn a variety of ways for animal wellness. Works as a daily care service to provide comfort and care in the individuals that need extra support such as animals and people. Be one to support for all. For my cat, I have a few indoor trees for his jumping instincts. Also providing him a safe space to make sure he has food every morning and evening. Clean water bowl daily. Same when I pet sit, make sure they are well fed and able to rest comfortably. I do also providing walks with my cat as he love to be outside.

About: I had dogs all my life. I will love and treat your dogs with respect. I have 3 dogs myself and treat them like their my babies. Whatever you need I will be there for you and your pet. If you need to go out of town and you need someone to stay with your dog I can stay with your dog. Or if you need me to come few times a day to take your dog for a walk I can do that as well. If you need me to come and feed your dog due to your are out of town I will do that as well and play with her or him. I will walk your dog for 30 minutes each walk I know how to give meds to your dog and if you are too busy I will pick up and drop off your pet.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own and always give them the love and attention they deserve! Making sure they get their 3 meals a day and take them for walks to make their tails wag and get the exercise they need! Also, safety is a big deal, therefore taking every step to keep my pets and other pets feel safe. Whether it’s the different use in leashes, looking every direction to see if pedestrians or cars are coming towards us.
