Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as my life revolves around pets. I'm always at home so I have lots of time to give your pet regular walks and playtime. I adjust my schedule based on their feeding schedule and make sure their normal sleep schedule stays on track. My house has a lot of fenced running room for your dog, and lots of indoor space for playing. My house also keeps a relaxed and calm atmosphere of love and acceptance. This is dog sitting for the 1% who have already taken their training seriously and want a loving substitute while you're gone. This is *NOT* for dogs with problematic, aggressive, reactive, or dangerous behavior. I do not promise behavioral changes, only current behavioral upkeep. — A hunting dog attacked me when I was four years old. On my way to the cul-de-sac mailbox, it jumped the fence and slammed my head onto the concrete. Scalp split open, I ran home screaming. From then on, dogs terrified me. I hid behind my mum around dogs bigger than me…and at the time, every dog was. I declared myself a cat person, and that was that. Then YouTube appeared. The algorithm’s “infinite wisdom” served up a video of Cesar Millan transforming a “mean” dog into a “nice” one in five minutes. Were all dogs really this easy to understand? If I could do what Cesar did, if I could master dog training, maybe they wouldn't scare me anymore? It became an obsession. I watched thousands of his videos. Before/after. Wild/controlled. Chaos/manageable. Scary/incredibly cute. But watching dogs on a screen was a different beast than working with them in real life. My great aunt in Cape Town, South Africa, gave me my first round of exposure therapy when she took me to a Great Dane farm. Dozens of giant dogs loomed around me. She held my hand the whole time and introduced me to every. single. one. I can do this. I can do this. She has since passed, but being around dogs reconnects me to her memory. It's a heartwarming comfort. Years later, a friend was having trouble on her walk. “Can I try?” I gave her a few concrete instructions from my musings: “Krishna, you’re really good with dogs. She never listens to anyone else, but she’s perfectly calm with you.” “What? Nahhh, she can just sense I’m vegan.” I assumed everyone understood dog body language and I was just slow on the uptake. Turns out, they don't! Not only was I no longer afraid, I was giving lessons! Today, clients fly me across the globe to care for their dogs. My last assignment took me to London for two glorious, busy weeks. While I hope to have a dog of my own again someday, I want to dedicate my time to caring for yours in the meantime. “I wish I could give more than 5 stars. This was my first time letting Milo stay with someone while I am out of town. I usually take my broke best friend with me everywhere I go but this time, it just was not feasible. I am so grateful to have found Kyle on here. He was super friendly, communicated as often as I would like with updates and pictures of Milo during the stay. It was both refreshing and reassuring to know that Milo was safe and enjoying his staycation whilst I was away. I really appreciated Kyle setting up a Meet and Greet to make sure it was a perfect fit and that really helped me build trust with him and assured that Milo will be in great hands.
