“I am so thankful that I chose Keely! This is my first time using Rover; I was worried as I have never left Oscar with anyone but my family. And he gets very anxious around other people. But my kids wanted to go to Universal Studios, and my brother, who usually watches Oscar, was also out of town. Keely was very helpful right from the start! She immediately asked about Oscar and gave me options about how I could feel comfortable leaving him with her. On the day of drop off, she met my family and let us meet Lumiere. When we left, she immediately updated us and sent videos and photos of Oscar! She took care of him and paid attention to our instructions. One of them was feral actually, swipe her a few times, even got her neck, but she came back the next day with battle scars and an unwavering tenacity to get the job done. She worked with others well to provide our cats, insulin, food, and love. We were quite worried actually and thought of coming home early from our trip, but, to our pleasant surprise we were able to stay the full length of our weekend trip. She was even so thoughtful as to leave babies gifts, which was not necessary at all! About: I’ve had pets my entire life and truly can’t imagine it any other way! At one point I cared for four dogs and a cat, so I’m very comfortable in a busy pet filled home. I also have experience with dogs who have had seizures and frequent sneezing attacks, so I know how to stay calm, assess situations, and make sure pets feel safe and loved. I took my dog to training classes as both a puppy and an adult, and while I’m not professionally trained, I’ve carried the techniques I learned with me when caring for other pets. My family had pugs, pug mixes, and bulldogs all throughout my childhood, and I am dying for a dog of my own. But until my living space allows it, I'll have to settle for dogsitting (and visits home to see my parents' new Frenchie puppies)! I have experience with both puppies and senior dogs. My last dog, Lucy (a terrier-pug mix who I got when I was 9 years old), lived a long and healthy life until she was 17. I have familiarity with basic training and commands and love going on walks and hikes of all lengths! Whether your dog is winded after a lap down the block, or wants to hike Runyon with me, I would love to meet them! I love the routine of pet care – whenever I watch dogs, I get outside more than ever and my serotonin goes through the roof! I currently work a combination of part-time and gig jobs, so my schedule is flexible to fit your needs. Some days I work from home completely, while others I'm out for 2-5 hours at a time. No matter the needs of your pet, I'm sure we can find a schedule that works for them! I'm both a house-sitter and a pet-sitter, and am open to whichever combination of both works for you! If you 1) have a dog and live within 15 minutes of my apartment, or 2) have a cact, I'm happy to do à la carte visits, potty breaks, and/or dogwalking. Otherwise for dogs, I prefer to stay at my clients' homes for the entire booking. Especially for extended stays, I've found it's much more convenient for both myself and your dog if we can stick as close to their usual surroundings and routine as possible. I am extremely clean and organized, and I promise I will leave your home better than I found it! While at your home, I'd also be happy to take out trash cans, water plants, and/or bring in any packages you may have delivered. For cats, I love them but I am allergic! I'm happy to schedule visits where I feed your cat, empty their litter box, and briefly play with them, but overnight stays are not possible for me. I prefer not to host in my own apartment, as I live on the top floor of a historic building (with the world's slowest elevator)! However, if you're interested in boarding your dog at my place, please inquire! I don't have any other pets that live with me, and my roommate and I both love having dogs around. Due to my allergy, I am not able to accommodate cats at my apartment.
