About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover and experienced dog owner living in the Seaside neighborhood of Torrance. I currently have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks and a Mini Australian Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of different sizes and energy levels. My dogs are part of my family, and we stay active every day. We enjoy daily walks, hiking, trips to the dog beach, and playdates. I know how important it is for dogs to get both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I grew up surrounded by animals, including dogs, horses, chickens, rabbits, and cats, so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I work from home during the week, and now that my kids are away at college, I have more time to dedicate to caring for pets. Whether your dog needs a neighborhood walk, extra exercise, or a longer adventure on a local hiking trail, I’d love to help keep them happy, healthy, and active. I treat every pet as if they were my own and understand that trust, safety, and communication are the most important parts of caring for someone else’s beloved companion. SAFETY & COMPATIBILITY Your dog’s safety, my safety, and the safety of my pets are always my top priorities. I welcome friendly dogs of all sizes—from tiny pups to large breeds—as long as they are comfortable being handled by someone new. Because every dog is different, I require a meet-and-greet before accepting new clients. For dog walking, I’d like to meet your dog first to ensure we’re both comfortable together and that your dog walks calmly on a leash around people and other dogs. If I’m caring for your dog in my home, a meet-and-greet with my dogs is also required to make sure everyone gets along and feels comfortable. While I have many years of experience caring for dogs, I am not a professional dog trainer or behaviorist. For everyone’s safety, I only accept dogs that are friendly with people and can be safely managed on walks and in new environments. If your dog has a history of aggression toward people or other dogs, I may not be the right sitter for your pet. I love puppies and will take in un-spayed or un neutered young puppies (less than 9 months old), at my discretion. I work remote from home and have the flexibility to visit or walk your dog. I have my own three dogs that hang out with me when I work at my desk. I have some flexibility to take a dog to join us to hang out for the day or night. I walk the dogs every afternoon. I have a fenced yard, three friendly dogs to keep your’s company and an XL crate if needed. If I am dog sitting, I would not leave your dog home alone and unattended. There is shaded patio, artificial turf for running and not getting dirty, I have a magnetic screen so my dogs are free to walk in and out of the house at leisure.

Michelle is absolutely incredible! She watched my dog, Daisy, for 16 nights in her home, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Leaving your pup for over two weeks can be stressful, but Michelle sent frequent updates that put my mind completely at ease. What a relief to find Amanda! We were traveling through California from Europe, with a trip already planned, and finding Amanda was such a relief. She responded right away and was so welcoming to Cali from the start. She kept us updated throughout the whole stay, and everything went smoothly. Kim is an absolute gem! 🐾❤️ She went above and beyond every expectation, and we could not have felt more comfortable leaving our pup in her care. Honestly, when we picked him up, he looked a little sad to leave; which says EVERYTHING! 😂 He made such great friends and had the best time. Kim is truly an expert with multiple dogs. Between the endless walks, playtime, and her incredible ability to keep all the pups happy and cared for, our dog came home happily exhausted. We also loved getting regular pictures and updates throughout his stay; it gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was having a great time. We will hands-down be bringing our pup back to Kim every time. She is truly a rare find and such a gift to both dogs and their humans. I cannot recommend her enough…although part of me is terrified that everyone will discover how amazing she is and she’ll be booked forever! 😂🐶💕

She is great about sending videos and its really comforting being halfway around the world and seeing your dog happy, having fun and being well taken care of. Thankfully, after a quick trial weekend, we decided to go with Lara. That weekend already gave us a good feeling, but I was still a little worried and concerned at first. But then she quickly proved to be the best thing that could have happened to my dog, Koda. She is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and, most importantly, reliable. She took Koda on amazing adventures, from hikes in Malibu and Palos Verdes to full loops at Kenneth Hahn Park. There wasn’t a single day he didn’t get an extra walk or plenty of time playing fetch, often both in the morning and again in the afternoon to match his energy levels. She even surprised him with a few new toys, including a tug rope and a squeaky toy, which was such a thoughtful touch. She also made sure to follow his feeding routine exactly and was very attentive to the small details we left in our notes. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with lots of photos and messages, often with little captions about what they were up to, so we always knew he was having the best time. Even when we were in different time zones, she was quick to respond and incredibly consistent with updates. It’s such a relief to have found someone we trust completely, and we’ll absolutely be booking Lara again for our next vacation!
