“Cannot recommend Jordan enough! She was so responsive to a last-minute request and reschedule, which made the booking process easy. She also was great to Alfie and so considerate of his love for squirrels on walks + making sure he had plenty of water before she left. Thank you, Jordan!!!”

About: I had the luxury of growing up on property in Oregon, and with that space came the ability to have many pets!!! Specialty care with seniors and high energy doggies who need more attention and support. I’m a single mom and I work part-time at a local hospital so I have pretty open availability! I generally work two 12’s a week and am lucky enough to choose which days I work so I can be more flexible with availability to take care of your pet. I have a fenced yard, and a big comfy couch to lounge around on. I’m active, so like to take your pet on multiple walks if they have energy to burn. The only pet we currently have is a ball python named Garuda!! Though we keep things calm, we also do love a high energy pet that wants to play all the time!
About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals! Every animal is special in their own way and has special needs. I love getting to meet and care for every single one:) I am currently available for boarding first come first serve. Special needs and any other questions or concerns can always be discussed prior to giving your pet a friend and place to enjoy for the time you’re away. I live in a very walkable area with parks, the green belt, big house, and depending on what you’re looking for i can achieve it all! Rest assured your pet will be very happy and so will you:)
About: I’ve been playing with pups since I was born, I have experience with a wide range of dogs of all different backgrounds, sizes and personalities. Im the go-to neighborhood babysitter as I get along with every dog I’ve met, regardless of their needs, age and unique attitudes from shy to sassy, mischievous, rambunctious and everything in between. I’m laid back and have no problem with untrained, high maintenance and/or dogs that aren’t potty trained. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am willing to work with the owners needs, just let me know and we can work something out. I have a large wrap around balcony and keep gates on both sides of it, I’m near the ocean on the 2nd floor so I like to keep my apartment door open (if the client is comfortable) so that we can both freely go in and out of the apartment on to the balcony for fresh air and people watching. I currently do not have any pets at home
About: I am known for my passion for taking care of dogs. For me, to know a canine is to love a canine. I have experience taking care of dogs who want to play for hours as well as couch potatoes. I also have experience caring for senior dogs with health issues. The great news is that Monday through Friday my schedule is flexible from mid-morning on, so I have plenty of time to focus on your dog. On the weekends I am available some afternoons and evenings. I have a small fenced in yard. We are a couple blocks from the park and from the strand, so plenty of options. I have a big wooden kennel that works for most dogs if they want quiet time.
About: I’ve been obsessed with cats since I was 5. I have 2 of my own and I would love to get more but their big brother who was a Great Dane died recently and they are (including me) are still grieving him. I don’t want to disrupt the house hold by adding more animals to the house so I thought I’d help other peoples kitties so I can my “fix”! I WFH full-time so if you need an afternoon dog walker- I’m available! I usually take an afternoon walk during my lunch break anyways- so I thought: maybe someone will let me walk their dog, too?! I walked my 130lbs Dane when he was still with me. And I’m comfortable with all breed sizes. I WFH full time and I have a flexible schedule so I have the time to take care of your cats and kittens. I also have reliable transportation. I am very respectful of peoples property and I will always treat your pets like my own. If you have specific needs, I can follow directions to a “T.”
About: Hi! I’m Kadi, warm, patient, and genuinely love connecting with animals. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your pet like family (and keep you updated every step of the way), you’re in the right place. I’ve spent my entire life around animals, 36+ years growing up with cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, and fish, and later fostering kittens as an adult. I currently have a 14-year-old senior kitty, Bijou, who is my absolute love. I recently said goodbye to another beloved senior cat, so I deeply understand how much love, attention, and thoughtful care pets need, especially as they get older. Because I’m not in a place to bring another pet into my home full-time, pet sitting allows me to do what I love most: care for animals while supporting other pet parents. I specialize in in-home visits, so your pet can stay comfortable in their own space and routine. I’m experienced with: -Senior pets and their unique needs -Administering medications (including injections and transdermal gels) -Kittens and multi-pet households -Shy or slower-to-warm animals My approach is calm, intuitive, and respectful. I let pets come to me at their own pace and always prefer to meet with you and your pet beforehand so we can build trust together. You can expect: -Thoughtful, attentive care tailored to your pet -Clear communication -Lots of photo and video updates (because as a pet parent, this is the thing I appreciate the most when I’m away from my girl!) -I’m organized, reliable, and able to juggle a lot, so you can feel confident your pet and your home are in good hands. I’d love to meet you and your pet 🤍 I’m currently building my own business from home and have a lot of flexibility during the day and evenings to take care of your pets! I am happy to come to your home to check in on your pets, go for walks, and or feed and play with them! Whatever works best for your pet. At this time, I do not offer boarding them at my place.
“Thank you again for taking such great care of our girls while we were away. We always miss them when we travel but it helped to know they were in great hands with you while we were away!”

About: I’m a proud dog mom to my 80-pound Husky, Harley, so I understand firsthand how important it is to have someone you can genuinely trust with your pup. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, from little pups to larger breeds, and I’m confident handling bigger, stronger dogs as long as we’re a good fit for one another. I love being outdoors and going on walks, and I’m attentive to each dog’s individual personality, energy level and needs. I’m happy to follow your pup’s usual walking routine, commands and preferences to help them feel as comfortable as possible while they’re with me. Most importantly, I’ll treat your pup with the same patience, care and attention I would want someone to give my own. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule because I already enjoy using my free time to get outdoors and go for walks! I have flexible availability every other Monday, and I’m generally available Tuesdays and Wednesdays after 4:30 PM, Thursdays and Fridays in the evenings, and early mornings on Saturdays and Sundays. My availability may occasionally vary or allow for additional times, so please feel free to send me a request and I’ll be happy to let you know if I’m available. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my priority. Before caring for your pup, I’d love to learn about their normal routine, temperament, commands, walking habits and anything I should be aware of, such as triggers or reactivity around other dogs or people. During walks, I’ll keep your pup safely leashed and pay close attention to our surroundings. For drop-in visits, I’ll respect your home and follow the care instructions you provide. I’m also happy to send pictures and updates so you can feel comfortable knowing your pup is safe, happy and well cared for while you’re away.
“The first walk doesn’t always go great, especially when the owner provides the wrong entry code into the building, lol. But we worked through it and Marevie was very understanding!”

“Renee is awesome! We left her detailed instructions and she followed them perfectly. Our Cookie is a senior dog who requires patience during walks and Renee couldn't have been better with her. Highly recommend!”

About: I specialize in caring for calm, well-trained, highly independent pets while maintaining a clean, organized, and well-cared-for home. My goal is to follow your pet’s established routine and provide consistent, dependable care while you’re away. I’m a great fit for households with pets that are well-mannered, comfortable with their routines, and able to settle independently. I focus on maintaining the environment your pets are already familiar with, ensuring they remain safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout your absence. As a full-time traveling house sitter that has cared for 25+ homes, pet care is a central part of my daily routine. I intentionally schedule my days around each pet’s established feeding, exercise, play, and care routines while maintaining the home as if it were my own. Because this is my full time focus, I’m able to provide consistent attention, adapt to each household’s preferences, and ensure pets receive dependable care throughout my stay. House and pet sitting gives me the ability to experience new environments while maintaining structure and consistency in my daily life. I genuinely enjoy the companionship and presence of pets in the home. I like learning their personalities, how different animals and breeds interact with their environment, and what helps them feel comfortable and at ease. I also enjoy play, interaction, and building a calm, steady presence with them during a sit. I provide structured, routine based care including feeding, walking, playtime, enrichment, and oral medication when it can be given with ease and cooperation. I value calm, stable home environments with clear instructions and consistent routines. I do best in well maintained, organized homes that are clutter free, odor free, clean, and with minimal excess pet hair buildup. I also appreciate the use of air purifiers when available. While I work remotely and am primarily at home, my work includes focused independent periods, and I check in on pets throughout the day as part of their routine care. A video call (Zoom or Google Meet) is required prior to confirming a sit to ensure a mutual fit for both home and pet care expectations. I appreciate homeowners who are familiar with my profile and come prepared with any questions as well. I am not a fit for: • Highly Velcro pets requiring constant proximity or attention • Aggressive behavior toward humans or other animals • Physical force based handling, training, or behavior modification responsibilities • Daily intensive mess cleanup or unmanaged accidents • Co-sleeping (pets must sleep independently in their own space outside the bedroom) • Frequent last minute changes, unclear schedules, or unstable routines I value clear communication, respectful, hospitable, and well structured sits.
About: I’ve taken care of multiple dogs from working dogs to stay at home dogs. 1 LAPD working dog being an aggressive German Shepard, another LAPD working dog an energetic German Shorthair. As well as a handful of smaller energetic dogs and lapdogs. I fully ensure that I can handle all different dogs and their personalities. ☺️ I’m currently working part time but I still have plenty of gaps in my schedule that I’d like to fill. I like to maintain busy so caring for animals seems like a fun choice 🤗. I live in a big neighborhood that has plenty of space for walking and playtime. I’ve also have a car and could easily take your pet to a nearby park suitable for dogs. I also fully am able to care for a pet inside a clients home as I have house-sat before.
About: Pet care is already built into my everyday life. Three times a week I walk two 60-lb puppy Rhodesian Ridgebacks that I’ve successfully trained to walk calmly side by side. Every day I also take my own Black Mouth Cur on social outings to the dog park or dog beaches at Rosie’s Beach and Huntington Beach — over the last two years I’ve successfully socialized him to stop being aggressive. Mornings and late afternoons are set aside for client walks and drop-ins, while evenings and weekends open easily for longer visits or overnights. Because this is my regular rhythm, your pets receive consistent, focused attention every time. Pet care is fully integrated into my daily and weekly schedule. I maintain open availability throughout the week for walking both small and large dogs, with consistent morning and evening time slots reserved for clients. This structured yet flexible routine allows me to provide reliable, focused care without conflict. How do you care for pets in your home or your client’s home for the different services you offer? I provide care both in my home and in the client’s home, depending on the service requested. For walks and drop-in visits, I come to the client’s home and follow their exact routines, house rules, and any special instructions. For boarding or extended stays, pets are welcomed into my clean, calm, and fully pet-friendly home environment, where they receive individual attention tailored to their size, age, and needs. In both settings, I prioritize safety, clear communication, and consistent care so every pet feels comfortable and every client feels confident.
About: My approach with any animal is to use positive reinforcement and a lot of patience. I grew up with dogs, cats and various other animals. I was heavily into 4-H and adopted a wild burro, raised pigs and joined the dog training group with my shelter dog, a German Shepard Samoyed mix. Currently, we have two rescue dogs. Whenever we host our neighbor's dog, all the dogs have a blast and act like they are having a sleepover. In addition to caring for dogs, I also have experience with a diabetic cat that required two daily shots. My husband and I work from home so there is always someone around. We take the dogs out for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We also live near Valley Park and the green belt which are perfect for longer walks. In addition to my husband, I have two teenage sons who will also be here to play with your pup. We currently have two welcoming adopted dogs, Koko, who is the older wiser pup bringing calm energy, and Mango, who very lovable and wants to be friends with every human and dog. At our condo, the dogs have access to two decks in the back, perfect for quiet naps in the sun, and one deck in the front overlooking all the action that passes by on the street. If your pup likes to play tug-of-war, Mango will happily play and share her toys.

About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes and energy ranges since I was 6. With 20 years of experience walking, running, playing, and training my dogs I’m happy to pass along my dog walking and care skills to new furry friends. I just moved down to South Bay and am looking for a full-time job. Excited to use my free-time to walk doggies and get to know the area better! Im happy to walk, play and watch your dog at or near your home. Currently in a rental so would prefer to watch animals outside of my current apartment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Hermosa Beach
We absolutely love Jordan! She has been wonderful with our dog and has quickly become someone we trust. She’s incredibly reliable, always communicates with us, and, most importantly, is so sweet and loving with our pup. It’s obvious how much she genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. Our dog is always so happy to see her, which says everything. Knowing she’s with Jordan gives us peace of mind. We feel very lucky to have found her and would recommend her without hesitation!

We had such a great experience with Devon! She showed up right on time, was incredibly communicative, and took such great care of our Storm girl. We loved getting the updates and adorable photos from their walk—it was so reassuring to know Storm was happy and in great hands. Devon was so sweet, and Storm clearly loved her! We’ve already booked her again and would absolutely recommend her!

Monica was fantastic with our energetic Golden Retriever! She was always right on time, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. It was great having total peace of mind knowing Harry was in such good hands and getting plenty of exercise. We’ll definitely be booking her again—highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with the service I received from Saffi. It is very comforting to know I can trust someone to help me with my pets when I’m out on vacation. Saffi sent me updates and photos and I knew my dog was very happy. I definitely would recommend her to anyone on the Rover app. Thank you Saffi!

This is the second time I have booked a walk with Carissa for both my pugs. She responds very quickly and good communication. She followed the instructions we asked for our pups and appreciated that she let us know how the walks went along with pictures. Would book again in the future!

Lara was incredible!! Osito is our 11 month old pup with lots of energy and she kept him entertained the whole night, and then even came back to take him for a walk the next day on short notice. Will absolutely be using her again. Osito was sad to see her leave! Thank you Lara!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
