About: I have two dogs and one cat currently but three cats in the past! I love all animals and feel connected towards them. I have been working specifically dog walking and sitting for about two years on apps like wag. I am a psychology major and want to work with service animals in the future! I am in school finishing up my degree and minor and mostly do online. I want to work with service animals so dog walking and sitting is a perfect way to gain experience and knowledge on all different kinds of animals and breeds. I care immensely and treats all animals like my own. I want people to be able to feel comfortable with me around their animals and inside their home. I know it takes a lot of trust and vulnerability to let someone you don’t personally know inside your home, so i want to make the experience for everyone as easy as possible. I like to give updates and response quickly to pet parents.

“Henry was amazing with Pelo! He was so kind, patient, and caring, and he was always on time. I really appreciated all of his help and felt completely at ease knowing Pelo was in good hands.”

“Courtney is great! She was prompt and very communicative. She was great with my dog and took him for a nice long walk. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to walk their dog.”

About: I’ve been obsessed with cats since I was 5. I have 2 of my own and I would love to get more but their big brother who was a Great Dane died recently and they are (including me) are still grieving him. I don’t want to disrupt the house hold by adding more animals to the house so I thought I’d help other peoples kitties so I can my “fix”! I WFH full-time so if you need an afternoon dog walker- I’m available! I usually take an afternoon walk during my lunch break anyways- so I thought: maybe someone will let me walk their dog, too?! I walked my 130lbs Dane when he was still with me. And I’m comfortable with all breed sizes. I WFH full time and I have a flexible schedule so I have the time to take care of your cats and kittens. I also have reliable transportation. I am very respectful of peoples property and I will always treat your pets like my own. If you have specific needs, I can follow directions to a “T.”

“Danielle was fabulous and made herself available for my pup on short notice. She was professional and detailed with the rover card. I especially appreciated her consistent communication with me! I highly recommend her for your pet!!!!”

About: I grew up mostly around big dogs. I used dog sit my little sister Chihuahua. Barley learning about cats and used grew up around cats If no social events during the weekends. After 12 pm, I am available. 10 am- 12 PM is my gym routine. I don't mind taking the dogs for a walk. However, unable to take the dogs on weekdays because I have two school district jobs. The only time to walk the dogs on weekdays is during winter or summer breaks. Mostly dog walking suits me better. I have experience walking my dogs. Also, it's been a while since I've been walking dogs, so I might be nervous and rusty around them because I moved out into my smaller place and my dogs are with my relatives.
“Joanne was amazing! She was able to help us out last minute when our other walkers weren't available. She was thoughtful and took careful notes so she wouldn't miss any details. While we were away, she took great care of our little guy and sent us regular messages to keep us updated. We look forward to using Joanne again in the future. Thank you!”

“Susan did such a wonderful job with Bella! My pup can be quite quirky at times, but Susan embraced it and showed her so much love. I am very appreciative of Susan and her ability to bring my dog out of her shell. Thank you!”

About: Not only am I an animal lover, but I’m someone who genuinely cares about creating a calm, safe, and loving environment for every dog in my care. I used to be a dog owner, so I know how important it is for pet parents to find someone they can fully trust. I pay close attention to detail and always follow specific instructions to ensure your pet receives the best possible care, from medication and grooming to exercise routines and daily schedules. I’m attentive, reliable, and tuned into each dog’s unique personality and needs, especially those who may need extra patience, reassurance, or consistency. You can feel confident and comfortable knowing your dog will be treated with respect, kindness, and thoughtful care while you’re away. I am flexible, adaptive and able to accommodate varying schedules / needs. I am able to adjust my availability to meet the demands of others easily. Taking care of pets varies depending on your needs. I am here to listen, understand and develop ways to ensure you AND your pet are taken care of. From maintaining a clean environment, to following feeding or medication instructions. The values I live by - respect, honesty, trust and integrity- are reflected in my approach to all areas in my life.
“Kristin has been great with my dog Connor. He can be a bit stubborn, lazy and aggressive towards other dogs. I was worried to leave him while I go to work, especially with his issues, but I know he’s in good hands with Kristin. I highly recommend her!”

“The first walk doesn’t always go great, especially when the owner provides the wrong entry code into the building, lol. But we worked through it and Marevie was very understanding!”

About: I'm a lifetime dog lover! I have taken care of dogs for over 10 years and have been a dog-owner for several. I love to take walks, play fetch, teach them new tricks, and just cuddle or relax with them! I currently work part-time from home, so I have ample time and flexibility to provide the best and most attentive care to your dog! As a dog-owner myself, I will provide the attention to detail and love I would want provided to my girl. I have an apartment and one dog who is crate-trained and friendly! I can crate your dog as needed. In your home, I am able to provide walks, feeding, play, teaching new tricks, and the love and care your pup needs!
About: I love taking dogs to the park, walks, runs and even full day hikes!I can even take pups "field trips" or excursions depending on the dog. I love and have experience with both huge and little dogs. I am a very active person, work from home, and of course, a dog lover! I love taking dogs out for walks, runs, and hikes. Keeping each other company while I work is a plus. I have friends with dogs who are always trying to socialize if needed as well. I work from home on Monday, Thursday and Friday and am around on the weekends! Days I am in office and get home around 6 pm. I live in a small house with a gated back yard. I also have a front porch that I like to sit on with pets.

About: As a massage therapist, trainer and health coach, and reiki master, I have learned a lot over the years about not only how to heal and help others but also how to apply those same principles to our furry friends. After all they are family too. They deserve the same holistic natural care as we do. And the recent passing of my 15 year old retriever shepherd mix was proof of that. He was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia at age six and lupus and hypothyroid at age 8. He should not have lived as long as he did, but with proper nutrition , exercise, and the use of alternative modalities Such as acupuncture, massage and reiki, he lived a very long, abundant life. I then passed on that knowledge and healing to a 14 year old rescue named Ava. She lived to be 17! Finally, after taking some time to heal again, i rescued my latest and embarked back on the puppy journey. She was 14 month old husky of pure energy, goof and intelligence. Now she’s a rehabilitated 2.5 year old. When dogs stay with me, they will be treated as my own. They are in a home on a bed, dog bed, or couch. They are in a yard, on a trail, or swimming- not in a cage with only 3 breaks a day. They live the Tahoe life (or the SF/Pacifica Beach life) with me and my semi new Rescue, Nala. Ive grown up with medium to large breeds and I am very passionate about keeping our gentle giants out of pain and spreading awareness against large breed discrimination. I relocated from Truckee to Pacifica In 2019 after running a pet care business up there for four years. I am still up in the Tahoe area once a month, but I serve the entire peninsula area. In other words, I'm pretty flexible, just message me. My prices are not set in stone and can be changed based on your specific situation and your pets needs. Lastly, I will be offering my canine massage and reiki services as both an in home service and at my own home and new office. Be well and wag on! I work from office and home both. But my office is only three blocks away. and school is online and from home. so I’m almost always home unless so have to run an errand. My office is pet friendly and they are welcome there also. They will get the comforts of sound healing and beach time when they are at work with me. Minus my class time on zoom or a sound healing event. I am pretty flexible for pick up, drop off and meet n greets. Two fenced yards, two dog beds, a couch and my bed. And your dog is welcome to them all. My backyard and garden has great energy as I do a lot of reiki out there with my plants. I have two runners and one 20ft lead in addition to two fenced yards But dogs are never left alone out there. If I have to leave they will be put in the room or in a crate depending on their level of training and trust.

We had such a great experience with Devon! She showed up right on time, was incredibly communicative, and took such great care of our Storm girl. We loved getting the updates and adorable photos from their walk—it was so reassuring to know Storm was happy and in great hands. Devon was so sweet, and Storm clearly loved her! We’ve already booked her again and would absolutely recommend her!

Monica was fantastic with our energetic Golden Retriever! She was always right on time, communicative, and an absolute pleasure to work with. It was great having total peace of mind knowing Harry was in such good hands and getting plenty of exercise. We’ll definitely be booking her again—highly recommend!

I am very satisfied with the service I received from Saffi. It is very comforting to know I can trust someone to help me with my pets when I’m out on vacation. Saffi sent me updates and photos and I knew my dog was very happy. I definitely would recommend her to anyone on the Rover app. Thank you Saffi!

This is the second time I have booked a walk with Carissa for both my pugs. She responds very quickly and good communication. She followed the instructions we asked for our pups and appreciated that she let us know how the walks went along with pictures. Would book again in the future!

Lara was incredible!! Osito is our 11 month old pup with lots of energy and she kept him entertained the whole night, and then even came back to take him for a walk the next day on short notice. Will absolutely be using her again. Osito was sad to see her leave! Thank you Lara!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
