About: My approach with any animal is to use positive reinforcement and a lot of patience. I grew up with dogs, cats and various other animals. I was heavily into 4-H and adopted a wild burro, raised pigs and joined the dog training group with my shelter dog, a German Shepard Samoyed mix. Currently, we have two rescue dogs. Whenever we host our neighbor's dog, all the dogs have a blast and act like they are having a sleepover. In addition to caring for dogs, I also have experience with a diabetic cat that required two daily shots. My husband and I work from home so there is always someone around. We take the dogs out for frequent potty breaks throughout the day. We also live near Valley Park and the green belt which are perfect for longer walks. In addition to my husband, I have two teenage sons who will also be here to play with your pup. We currently have two welcoming adopted dogs, Koko, who is the older wiser pup bringing calm energy, and Mango, who very lovable and wants to be friends with every human and dog. At our condo, the dogs have access to two decks in the back, perfect for quiet naps in the sun, and one deck in the front overlooking all the action that passes by on the street. If your pup likes to play tug-of-war, Mango will happily play and share her toys.
“Five stars—no hesitation. Christy adores dogs, especially golden retrievers. We left our golden pup, Honey, with her for one day while we hit Disneyland. When we returned Honey had several new BFFs: Christy and her canine savvy family, with couch-snuggle photos as proof; and Phoebe (Christy’s own golden retriever). Christy’s day plan nailed all Honey's need—timed meals and potty breaks along with the perfect play–nap balance. Christy sent updates and snapshots, so we stayed relaxed and guilt free at the park. I had zero pet-parent stress. When I picked up Honey she trotted out tail-wagging, paws dragging, slightly heavier (treats happen!) and blissfully wiped out. Denise was absolutely wonderful. We had booked her last minute as we wanted to have a beach day and were lucky she was available. She was extremely accommodating and flexible with our arrival and even watched Ruxbin a little longer than originally planned so we could go out to dinner. She was extremely communicative throughout and sent updates and photos. Ruxbin immediately felt comfortable with her.
Eiko is a very nice, caring, and reliable dog sitter. Her house is very clean, stylish, and there is ample space for dogs to run around, play, or lounge outdoors. This was my anxious dog’s first time with Sean, and it couldn’t have gone better. Sean gave him the space he needed to decompress, provided a calm and quiet environment, and even set up a cozy spot just for my dog. I really appreciated how much Sean looked out for Bilbo. 🐾
Shane was awesome. Super pumped to see Rosie everyday and Rosie nearly yanked my arm off running to see him in the morning. I really feel like he treated our dog like his own. He sent updates and photos frequently. I felt very comfortable leaving her each day. He was flexible and helpful at drop off and pick up. We will hope to call on him again when needed.
We had a great experience with Dorothy and would absolutely book again. Communication was on point from start to finish, which made everything feel easy and stress-free.
