About: Hi, I'm Samantha! I'm a warm, nurturing caregiver with years of experience loving dogs — from owning my own to helping out friends and family with theirs. I know firsthand how much a dog means to a family, and I treat every pup I care for like my own. I'm joined by my daughter Mel, who is my partner in all things dog-related. Mel has a incredibly calm, gentle energy that dogs are naturally drawn to — she's the kind of person a shy or anxious dog will walk straight up to. Together we make a pretty great team. By booking with us, you're also doing something meaningful. Mel lives with blindness, and time with dogs is genuinely something that brings her real joy. Your trust in us gives her that. I'm available mostly during the day and prefer drop-in visits. I gravitate toward calm, gentle dogs who enjoy relaxed company, cuddles, and just being present with people who genuinely adore them. Your dog won't just be checked on — they'll be cherished. I've been caring for dogs for 25 years — practically my whole life. Starting around age 10 I was already responsible for my own dogs, and over the years I've had anywhere from two to seven at a time, spanning every stage of life from energetic puppies to gentle seniors. What I hear most often is that I have a way with animals that's hard to explain. Dogs that are fearful, anxious, or notoriously indifferent to people tend to seek me out anyway. I don't force it — I just make space, and they come. That's been true my whole life. My daughter Mel has six years of her own experience and has a completely natural, unhurried way with dogs. She's the kind of company a dog actually wants — calm, present, no agenda. Just two friends sitting together. Between us, we've handled it all — training, health issues, behavioral quirks, end-of-life care. Dogs in our care are never just managed. They're genuinely enjoyed. We have plenty of daytime availability. Caring for dogs isn't a task for us — it's genuinely the highlight of our day. With my daughters disability (blindness), finding meaningful, joyful experiences is something I'm always intentional about and spending time with dogs delivers that every single time. When visiting your home, I follow your routines exactly as you've set them. I take time to truly connect with your dog rather than just check a box. I'm attentive to their mood, comfort, and needs, and I always leave them calm, loved, and well cared for. You'll never wonder if your pup is okay.

About: Our pets are just an extension of our family. I grew up in a house with pets and farm animals. I was taught to treat these animals with love and respect and ensure that they had fresh water and food every day.and that they were cleaned-up after, exercised and that they were comfortable. Upon having pets of my own, I raised my kids and now, grandkids, that our pets are special and essential in our lives and need to be treated that way. I have owned strays and mixed breeds, and a lhasa apso to hybrid wolves. A few years back, I started carrying for friends pets in their homes when they traveled. This service brings them peace of mind and comfort when they are away, as they know their sweet pet is being cared for with the same level of care that they provide. And having their pet in their own environment is less stressful of the whole family. I ensure that a regular routine is maintained and that fresh food and water is always available. I walk and/or play with them to entertain and exercise your pet on a daily basis. I am happy to provide updates and pics while you are away. And I make sure that the poop is cleaned up, as well. I am recently retired and have lots of flexibility in my schedule so I am available to walk or provide over-night stays when needed. I care for your pet as you would care for them. I do my best to keep them safe and cared for in the environment they are used to, their own home.

About: I’ve always naturally connected with animals and genuinely enjoy being around them. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet. I’m very attentive to routines, feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I currently work a hybrid schedule, so I carefully manage my availability to make sure I can provide dependable care and attention during bookings. I’m mainly available Monday-Wednesday and always make time for walks, feeding, playtime, companionship, and updates throughout the stay. I like keeping pets on their normal routine as much as possible so they feel comfortable while their owners are away. About: Hi! I may not have a ton of recent reviews, but I’ve been on Rover since 2019, and animals have always been my passion 🐾 I currently work as a relief veterinary assistant at CAMP LA in San Pedro and have been there for 5 years. Over that time, I’ve worked both full-time and part-time, gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of animals and medical care. These days, I’ve shifted into a more flexible schedule so I can spend time with my baby, but animal care is still a huge part of my life and something I truly love doing. I’m also continuing my education to become an RVT and have a bachelor’s degree in Zoology. I absolutely love what I do, and honestly, I’ll probably be more excited to meet your pet than they are to meet me 😅 During the weekdays, I’m a stay-at-home mom, so my little one is with me. Because of that, I do require pets to be very friendly and comfortable around a baby. She’s gentle and used to animals she treats our two cats like royalty. Current availability: Drop-in visits Dog walks (best for dogs ~40 lbs or under) For larger dogs or house sitting, I’m available during evening/night hours (around 8 PM–4 AM). If your pet is a good fit, I would truly love to care for them and treat them like my own. About: I have owned 6 dogs through my lifetime, two boxers (Chica and Bella), one fox terrier (Jack), a black mouth cur (Kimber), A pit bull mix (Charlie) and a one eyed Chihuahua (Zoe). I also owned a couple of fish (Cheeto and Elvis) as well as a ferret (also named Jack). I worked as a kennel technician, groomer (I bathed, blow dried and clipped nails only, I did not cut hair) and a doggy daycare counselor as well! I know how to feed, water, walk, bathe, dry and give medications. My love for animals has always gone above and beyond, they deserve nothing less🩷 I have a lot of free time and a goal of starting dental school once I can afford it! If I can reach that goal by meeting and caring for your fur babies, it will be a blessing. I’m available anytime from 8:30 am to 10 pm any day of the week or weekend. I do ask for a 3-4 notice in advance for appointments (scheduling or canceling) please and thank you! For coming to a clients home, I always ask questions and for detailed instructions of pet care. I will follow the schedule, measurements and rules made by the owner to a T. I make sure dogs are being well supervised as well as lots of pets and play time! I am able to take them on walks, give them baths, play, crate and respect the dog (or cat) and owners boundaries. Side note: I cannot do boarding in my own home due to roommates and their pets.

My dog is older and has special needs, in addition to pretty bad separation anxiety. My dog doesn't put up much of a fuss going to his house, which is a testament to how much he likes Armando, his wife, and Buddah! He was also very accomodating with the drop in visit- we had set up the TV to play while we were gone and it messed up, but he was willing to follow the instructions we sent to fix it so that the animals can have entertainment again! About: We live in a very dog friendly and safe neighborhood. I’m experienced in taking care of special needs dogs as well as non-special needs. If your pup is on a special diet, I have no problem weighing food. As well as administer any meds. I’m currently available to play, walk and take care of your pup. I can take your pup out to go potty every 2-4 hours. Taking care of pups needs is my first priority. I do ask that your dog(s) and cat(s) be current on flea medication and their vaccinations, just to safe as we go for walks around the neighborhood and/or parks.

About: Owners will love the care I provide because I'm very loving and respectful of needs/wants. I'm very caring for animals as they need our help as much as possible. I love all kinds of animals. My care experience is based on learning from watching, reading online, or learning on my own experience how to proceed in careful matters. I've learned very risky situations on my dogs that I had in the past that I was not comfortable with but I managed to take risks. So I can say I'm a bit of a risk taker as well, But a safe only if you want me to do. Nothing is done without concerning the owner. These are a bit of what I can do for my dog and try with any other pet. I can bathe, clip nails, comb hair, and come up with tricks with treats granted. Availability comes great with me because I'm home with my fur baby of my own. I'm home throughout the day/night unless I'm doing homework, photography, or at the gym to better myself; Which I love too. This is great as well if you're looking to better your pet well being. So being available is my most accurate thing about me and it works for any working hours of dog owners. My special skills are loving, playing with dogs, and keeping them happy always while spoiling them with my love or treats. haha. I also love to take photoshoots with my fur baby as I'm trying to own my business one day. I love teaching tricks, spending time walking with them, or just hanging out. I'm here for dogs.
