About: Most of my pets have been dogs and some of them have been older than a year or two months old, currently open to learn more. Currently looking for a part-time and love dogs. I have been taking care of dogs since I was in elementary school and currently have one. I live in a small apartment and get to walk her around the city and usually walk her two times per day during the weekends

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for about 6 years and have always had a love for animals. Before my dog Sunday, I helped care for several dogs for family and friends, and now being a dog mom myself has taught me even more about patience, routines, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. Whether it’s walks, feeding, brushing, bath time, or just giving extra attention and cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby, and I strive to provide loving, dependable care every time. I currently have a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to give pets the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and make sure they feel comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to trust someone with your fur baby because I feel the same way about my own dog, Sunday. I always make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for like family. I’ll follow your pet’s routine, give plenty of love and attention, and keep you updated with pictures and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m patient, dependable, and committed to making your pet feel right at home.
About: I'm a pet sitter for all my friend's pets. I had the experience of living with friends' pets many times. I really love pets and when I'm a sitter it's not only about changing the water and taking the pet outside for a pee, we have interesting conversations and quality time with games and cuddling. I'm a designer (in a pet tech company Basepaws) and work from home. I have time to walk outside several times a day and I do it even when I haven't pet:) We have a fenced yard with no holes and we haven't kids or other pets. We can have a long walk outside or keep your pet inside and use only the backyard if you prefer.
“Jennifer took care of my special needs cat and my 3 other cats. She was there morning and night and gave medicine to the diabetic cat I have. I shall be using her again in the near future.”

“We love Gabby! This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure to know that Gabby was taking care of our two cats while out of town. Gabby is so sweet and caring and 100% reliable. My husband and I trust her completely and feel our babies our being loved whilst away. We’ll absolutely use her services again!!!!”

About: Hiiiii! I’m Taylor — a lifelong dog and cat mom with a true passion for giving pets the individualized care they deserve. I’ve had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, and for the past decade of adulthood I’ve always owned at least one of each. I’m extremely comfortable with all ages, personalities, and care needs. I have extensive experience with senior and medically fragile pets. I cared for my senior cat (Mariah Kitty like Mariah Carey) with stage 4 kidney disease for 6 months, administering fluids, medications, and daily monitoring until she passed. Because of that experience, I’m very confident with special instructions, routines, and gentle medical care. I currently care for two purebred pets with specific needs — a corgi with early-onset arthritis and a Persian cat who requires regular eye cleaning, coat upkeep, and hygiene care (you know what I mean by hygiene care if you have a long haired pet..). This has taught me patience, detail-oriented care, and how to keep pets calm and comfortable even when tasks aren’t their favorite. Whether your pet needs slow walks, daily medication, extra brushing, enrichment, or just someone loving and reliable to hang out with them, I’d love love LOVE to help. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone, and I treat every animal I watch like one of my own. I was recently laid off so other than trips to go visit my family out of state and job searching, I am available to care for pets morning to evening! I can wake up early and stay up late if your family needs it. I provide care in your home only, so your pets can stay in their familiar environment and routine. I always adapt to whatever schedule, rules, and preferences your pet is used to — meals, walks, medications, potty breaks, playtime, crate time, bedtime routines, and anything else you need. For house sitting: I maintain your pet’s normal daily rhythm and keep your home clean, safe, and secure. I give plenty of companionship, enrichment, and calm presence, especially for pets with anxiety or special needs. They can feel when our energy is off you know? For drop-in visits: I make sure your pet gets bathroom breaks, fresh food and water, medication if needed, and lots of attention. I also handle small things like litter scooping, brushing, basic cleaning, and photo updates so you always know how your pet is doing. I promise I will send you the BEST content while you're missing them! For dog walking: I tailor the walk to your dog’s age, speed, and mobility — whether they need a slow stroll, a structured walk, or a little extra exercise. Safety is always the priority, and I keep your dog on-leash unless you specify otherwise. My goal is to make your pets feel comfortable and cared for while giving you complete peace of mind.

“Kristina was very welcoming to our new puppy. She was very attentive to what we needed as she’s super young and a handful to say the least. We will be continuing to book her services through rover”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was basically a kid, and yes — your dog will become obsessed with me. I’m reliable, patient, and great with pets who need extra attention, belly rubs, or a hype-woman on walks. I’m a full-time student, but my fall semester is ending, so I’ll have plenty of time for your pets. I’m available most days for walks or drop-ins. I only do in-home care, so your pet gets to stay in their own comfy space. I’m hypervigilant, gentle, and big on routines—I keep doors secure, follow instructions, and treat your home and pet with respect.
“Elaine is fantastic! She has sit our cat Pickles in four different occasions so far and we are very happy with the service. She is proactive and very responsive. Pickles is older and her food has to be portioned. Elaine figured out the portions quickly and our cat has never had a problem with it. Elaine is in tune with animals 100% 🤩”

About: I have grown up with pets all my life. I learned at a young age the responsibility and passion it takes to properly care for an animal. I understand that pets are truly a part of the family and I treat all animals with love and respect. I have cared for multiple dogs and cats that were my own and also for friends and family. Anyone that you ask can attest that I am the biggest animal lover! I am a full time entrepreneur/artist, so my schedule is very flexible! I am able to step away from my work to check on your pet as needed or pick up my laptop to care for your pet in their own space. I am available Monday-Friday with a flexible schedule and occasional Saturday and Sundays. Since I am self-employed, I am able to come to your home to care for your pet at any time of the day for as long as your pet needs! Depending on your pet's needs, I can be as attentive or as quick as you like. Working from home allows me to consistently check in on your pet and meet all of their physical and emotional needs. I love and care for all dogs I come across, so every breed is welcomed with open arms!
“Megan is the absolute best!! We felt so at ease knowing our two kitties were being taken care of while we were away. ❤️ She sent so many pictures and updates! We will definitely be working with her for every future trip! Thank you so so so much.”

Heather took great care of my cat. Lira is an elderly cat with health issues. Heather came by everyday fed her, scooped litter box and gave her medicine and some love and cuddles. She also gave me detailed feedback and pictures after her visits. I am planning a trip for my birthday next month and I hope she is available to take care of Lira again. Highly recommend.

I was gone for a weekend trip and used Cassidy to refill the food bowls and water fountain for the outdoor cats. She showed up as expected, sent me updates, and even moved a package delivery to the back door while I was gone. All went well and I was able to enjoy my trip.

Roselyn did a great job taking care of my kitten. She followed all instructions well and provided detailed check in notes with pictures. My kitten really likes her as he played with her during both check ins. She also played with him and made sure he had enough food and water before leaving.

Kelsi did an amazing job with our kitty. Even though our kitty was timid and shy, she made sure to find her in her hiding spot and get a picture. She updated us every day and we felt relieved to know our fur baby was being so well cared for. Highly recommend Kelsi and we will use her again in the future.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Watson. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
