safety is my number 1 priority when caring for your baby - I am hyper vigilant during walks and rarely scroll on my phone when we’re out on our mini adventure. I have a senior dog of my own so there are stairs leading up to the couch and the bed so they don’t hurt their little back (yes they are totally allowed on the furniture)! I’m great at coaxing your animal into a crate if that is preferred and am quick to pickup on their energy and body language to ensure they don’t feel like they’re in danger. My building has a fenced in yard, so there is zero chance of escape. Regardless, I will always keep your pet on a leash if we go outside. I’m also very careful about entering and leaving homes to ensure there are no jail breaks and I regularly check the house throughout the day to make sure everyone is accounted for. For bigger dogs, and if time permits, I prefer a meet & greet prior to working with them on my own to make sure they develop a sense of trust with me. A test walk is ideal, but not required.

Information Velvet W. would like to know about your pet
Important things I need to know- your overall routine so they feel comfortable, allergies, unique bathroom behavior, if any. if they are crate trained, have leash aggression with dogs, people, or cats, or a “runner”, please let me know so I can adjust accordingly. If meds need to be administered, please let me know your process to make it easier on everyone. If it’s a cat, let me know if there are ways to coax them out of their hiding spots to properly check on them. For dogs: Please note, I will add an additional $5 to any service if poop bags are not provided.
A typical day
My routine usually starts with a lot of morning cuddles and pets with my kitties, Indiana and Pippa, and my senior dog Bobb. Once we’re up, we head out for our first walk with breakfast immediately following. Afterwards I love take a morning walk with my dog Bobb - he’s an old man baby (he’s 13!) so we go at a slower pace multiple times a day. We’ll do a midday potty break in the yard or a walk if it’s not too hot. Dinner is usually between 5:30-7 followed and the final walk of the day just before bed.

Reviews

Velvet continues to do a great job with Tank and Gelo! She’s reliable, caring, and always keeps me updated, which I really appreciate. My dogs are comfortable with her, and I always feel at ease knowing they’re in good hands. I highly recommend her and will definitely keep booking with her!

Velvet is incredibly sweet and thoughtful. She brought Riley a few toys and sent lots of pictures/videos! She’s very responsive and I loved her communication style. I will definitely reach out to her in the future. Thank you, Velvet!

Absolutely amazing experience with Velvet! She took such great care of my two dogs and treated them like her own. I could tell they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after the entire time. Velvet was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. My dogs absolutely loved her, and I truly appreciated how caring and responsible she was. I would 100% book with Velvet again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pets!

Velvet was great, reliable, communicative, and easy to work with. Everything went smoothly and I’d definitely book her again!
