“Joyce is great, flexible and caring. She took amazing care of my bonded rabbits. It puts my mind at ease that someone like Joyce is there to care for them. Definitely will rebook when needed again!”

“Tracy took care of our two cats for a few nights while we were away. She kept us updated with pictures and messages. Our cats were very shy and picky eaters, but I felt they were in good hands. She maintained a clean environment in our home and was very professional.”

About: I started caring for dogs and cats when I was in middle school. Over the years, family friends, neighbors, and personal connections have trusted me to care for their pets while they were away. From daily walks and playtime to feeding, administering basic care, and providing plenty of love and attention, I always treat every pet as if they were my own. Spending time with animals is truly a joy, and I love getting to know each pet's unique personality while helping them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. I am currently on my summer break from college and have open availability until the end of August! I am very flexible and always open to meeting your lovely animals! When I am in a clients home caring for their pet, my ultimate goal is keep their routine consistent and stress-free in order to encourage a comfortable environment while you’re away. All instructions provided will be carefully read, understood, and implemented! It’s important to acknowledge that every animal has their own unique personality and needs, requiring different levels of care, patience, and attention which I am happy to provide. Additionally, I understand the level of trust it takes to let someone into your home. I will ensure your home is treated with my utmost respect and is returned to exactly the way you left it! I can always provide photos of your pets or space if you would like.
“Sarah took care of Oreo, and Noah, my senior dog and adult cat, while I undergone treatment at the hospital, and recovered at home. We appreciate the ease with her - she communicates well, makes all visits, is friendly/calm energy, and finds ways to make it easy. She kept the area around Noah's litter tidy, turned on the AC and closed of curtains/windows during a heatwave. Oreo warmed up to Sarah nicely, enjoying walks and grass rolls w her. It might be the treats - Sarah's idea. Brilliant 👏 I would contact Sarah again. I trust her with my fur babies and home. Thank you, Sarah.”

“Raymond is one of the best dog sitters out there. If you want someone reliable and caring look no further than Raymond. My pup Drogon is an elderly great Dane with Wobblers Syndrome. He needs special care that Raymond does without question. During his session with Drogon its undeniable that my boy gets the attention and care that he needs whether it be extra pets, talking to him, exercise, water, medication, and cleaning him after he soils himself. I have no doubt that when Raymond comes over to watch him that he will be comfortable and it brings me peace of mind.”

“Maiko was super friendly and accommodating. My kitties caused an issue at home and she was very prompt on informing me and help me with the situation. I definitely recommend her and will be requesting for her service again!”

I've been around dogs throughout my whole life and have watched all kinds of dogs varying in size and age, and will take care of your dog with the love and attention they deserve. Available to give them an uptempo stay including dog parks and running, or a more relaxed backyard hang if they're more of a homebody. We have a 12-year-old dog (mixed-breed, medium size) who loves company and will welcome your dog with open paws. I'm comfortable walking multiple dogs at a time, and willing to get your dog plenty of exercise if they're more active, or taking it a little easier if they aren't as energetic.

About: I've had dogs (and/or cats) all of my life. I've taken care of our neighbors’ pets and relatives' pets when they are away on vacation. Sadly, we lost our senior dog Sammie in 2020 so I do have experience with seniors. If your dog is anxious or has separation anxiety I will try to make this environment as stress free as possible for them. Shortly after we had to say goodbye to Sammie we got a COVID puppy, Benny, a corgi who is full of energy and loves to play with other dogs. I'm an animal lover and will treat your dog like my own. I work at home full-time so boarding and/or daycare works best for me. We have a little yard with a doggy door. I would be able to take your dog for walks during the day as well. All dogs are welcome on our furniture. :) I can continue any training you've started with your dogs. Rest assured that your furbaby will be a part of our family for however long they are here. 🐾❤️🐾 I do ask that all dogs be on a flea treatment regimen and be updated on their immunizations. Hope to see you soon 🐾🐾 I work at home full-time, all computer work, so I would have plenty of time for your pet and would be able to take breaks for walks as well. As I said above, we have a fenced yard and a doggy door. If the doggy door isn't big enough for your pet I'm always here to let them in and out. Our little backyard area is safe with no chance for escaping.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Signal Hill
Amber was great at communicating and making me feel at ease while I was away on my recent trip. Prior to the trip I had let her know I had been feeling anxious and she assured me everything would be taken care of and she did just that! Would definitely hire her for drop-in visits again!

It is our second time working with her, she is absolutely fantastic! She even increased her hours mid week because I had made a mistake with booking. She was fantastic and handled everything on her end so it took me five seconds to approve payments and to get back to enjoying my vacation! It’s so nice to have somebody who takes such good care of my home and follows instructions down to the detail! She’s really good with both of our cats and makes sure to give me very thorough updates every time which I greatly appreciate!!! couldn’t recommend enough, plan on using her again in the coming months!

Sarah is magic!! She provided so many pictures and videos while we were away, even showing that one of our feisty cats trusted her and took treats straight from her hands (huge good sign in our world). We have never felt our cats to be at so much peace and calm upon returning from a trip, we hope Sarah can watch them any time we have to leave in the future!

Thank you!! Michelle is the best dog/ cat sitter you will find! Always taking excellent care of our babies, takes amazing pics for us while on vacation, always has a detailed full report for every visit and follows their feeding schedule and any meds needed perfectly. Thank you so much Michelle for always taking care of our little loved ones while we are away. We greatly appreciate your professionalism and attention to detail.
Misha went above and beyond while caring for our cat Dante! She sent great pics and we could tell she really cares about animals. She was also flexible with us while we vacationed in a national park with limited service and she made sure Dante was taken care of. Highly recommend her for pet sitting and we'll definitely use her again!

Clémentine goes above and beyond for your pets. You can go on vacation and never have to worry about your pet being in good hands. We had a wonderful vacation because our cat was so well cared for. Every night we’d get to sleep to photos of our cat being fed and played with.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
