“Jacquelyne was an amazing sitter and took such great care of my cockapoo for a few days. I always felt good about dropping him off and knew he was in good hands. Great communication and photos along the way as well!”

About: We send pictures with updates while you are away. We even offer face time visits! Your puppy is in the best hands in Los Angeles county! Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine—whether it’s morning walks, mealtime cuddles, or evening play sessions. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so caring for them never feels like a task—it’s something I look forward to every day. Whether in my home or a client’s, I make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and comfortable. I follow their routines closely—meals, walks, playtime, and any special care they need—while giving them plenty of attention and affection. I treat each pet like family, creating a calm and happy environment they can thrive in, even while their humans are away
“Absolutely amazing experience. We were extremely nervous and she was very reassuring and even sent us photos of him during the day! Will be booking with her again!”

“I had a event that I needed to attend in a city 3.5 hours away. No options but to bring the pups. Karina was excellent and took great care of them. Fun videos and pics of them enjoying their time.”

“Arriyanna was one of the best dog sitters I’ve had. The communication and care for puppy was amazing! Her professionalism didn’t go unnoticed. I will be a repeat customer. Thank you so much.”

“I am so glad I found Kimberly. After trying a few doggie daycares, I really wasn’t loving them. My dog River has a lot of anxiety and is really shy. She’s been doing so much better with kimberly and her dog Benny. She has been completely relaxed there, even cuddles with Kimberly (she’s normally too shy with people) and has gone a walk. She plays a lot with Benny too. It’s the perfect place for River for when I need someone to watch over her. Kimberly is a dog person who makes River so at ease. She also sends lots of pics, videos and updates throughout the day (something daycares don’t provide). I highly recommend Kimberly!”

About: My 16.5yr old MinPin passed recently and I miss her dearly. In order to fill the void I wanted to offer boarding services to others so they can experience the love and joy we have for our furry family members. We both work from home and so will be able to tend to your pets routine. Regular meals. Care and walks as you prefer. Sleeping arrangements depend on per size and preference. I have a fenced yard and never walk off leash. I am very mindful of safety inside and outside of my home. When out for walks we are aware and cautious of other dogs to ensure your pup stays safe and healthy.
“Elise was able to get watch our two pups last minute and we are so happy to have found her! She sent picture updates, gave them lots of pets and cuddles, and also picked up / dropped off! Will use again next time we are out of the house!”

“Inta and her husband were amazing sitters. It was only 2 days but the second day Appa (puppy) was ready to jump out of the car as soon as we parked and was very happy to see them. He loved it so much he almost didn't want to leave. Will definitely book them again in the future.”

“Ok so Sabreen is a total sweetheart. She makes my Lola (my puppy dog) happy and I trust her. She comes to receive Lola with a smile and gets her back to me with the same smile. Lola comes back to me happy :)”

“Chris was awesome and super communicative with everything to ensure Sabina had the best care. I appreciated his attention to detail :) I will definitely hire Chris again for Sabina in the future!”

“I had to find a sitter for my dog at the last minute and Staci was available and very accommodating! She is super nice, attentive and asked questions to make sure she could give the best care possible. She sent me pictures throughout the day and my dog was as calm and relaxed as I have ever seen him with someone new. I will definitely be using her again!”

“Maria is great!! Lennox had a great time and he was happy to be dropped off. I got some of the best pictures I've ever seen of my dog while he was at daycare with Maria. I know that I can enjoy my outings knowing my dog is also enjoying his too. What a great feeling.”

“Isao and Rezairyl treated my dog with great care and love. My dog has separation anxiety and the made sure to give him the attention he needed and plenty of walks and playtime. Would highly recommend and will book again!”

“Just spent a fabulous weekend in Long Beach and had total peace of mind with my pooch in Kamilah’s hands. She walked my baby, sent me pics of him, and communicated very professionally. Definitely a keeper for future trips to SoCal.”

“Linette watched my 5 month old wild puppy while I was at Disney. I really appreciated her acceptance of my short notice, video call meet and greet, and super flexible pickup/dropoff!”

“Jacqueline handled my pup with the most calm and caring vibe, gave her a nice long walk, was super responsive and sent pictures of the day. Will definitely use her as a day care or walker in the near future.”

This is the second time we used elizabeth, and when you bring your dog over, who's very attached to you and he happily goes in the apartment with them.Tll that he's gonna have a lot of fun.And feels safe there. And equally not stressed when I pick 'em up. It's nice to have people you can rely on.And make your dog feel safe, and she and her husband are just lovely people. I would highly recommend them and your dog will be very safe and very loved.

Skippy always loves his visits with Elena and Zoya! Elena’s love for dogs is evident in her care. Skippy always comes home calm and relaxed. He’s also a super picky eater and Elena got him to eat his entire breakfast yesterday! There’s no one I trust more with my little guy🩷

Thanks so much Alondra for willing to do 5am days! Jewels warmed up to her immediately. Every morning she would RUSH to greet her with love when we arrived at her place. Alondra went out of her way to cook Jewels special meals and buy treats for her. Thank you so much and will definitely book again!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Signal Hill commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
