About: I used to have 27 cats and 2 dogs in my apartment. Many of them are picked up from the street or sick. After I work with the pet doctor, I training them, and help the autism and mental disabled people and seniors people. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available on weekends and weeks day. My apartment has no other pet right now! And All the animals like me, and I have so many years experience with pet. I can easily get along with good relationships with your pets.

“Makenna was amazing! She was able to accommodate a last-minute, same-day booking, which we really appreciated. She was kind, a great communicator, and sent us lots of updates/pictures throughout our dog’s stay. We felt our senior dog was in great hands! We’d definitely book with her again!”

“Treana went out of her way to care for my two dogs. I needed someone last minute and she was able to help me out. By far the best sitter I’ve experienced, she updated me throughout the day with photos/videos. She was very communicative and responded quick. She took our dogs to the beach. She fed them and was able to give my dog the medicine he needed. Whenever we are in town we will definitely use her again. She exceeded my expectations by far! I felt really comfortable being out all day knowing my dogs were being well cared for so thank you so much!”

“Megan is amazing!!! My dogs (9 and 3 month old poodles) loved staying at her house and her kids are the absolute sweetest and they played with my puppies. My puppies both just adore playing with kids. We will book Megan again anytime we need a sitter. She kept me updated and sent lots of pictures. Highly reliable and I felt very relaxed knowing my puppies were tested like family.”

“Elise creates a fun time for our Charlie girl every time she doggy sits her. She comes back happy and tired from all the fun with Elise and the other pups. We are so happy we found Elise, it makes it easier when we need leave her for the day, knowing Charlie is having a great time and is well cared for.”

“Jill was so wonderful and caring for Diego! Her outdoor play area was shaded and so clean for the dogs. She even taught him how to use the doggy door! She was really understanding about his separation anxiety and hung around with him until he felt more comfortable to play and nap, and steal all the dog beds! I would absolutely bring Diego back here.”
About: I have volunteered at my local shelter and taken care of my friends and family’s pets while they are away! I hope to make you feel at ease knowing your pet is getting fed, walked and lots of love! I am currently in summer break and have full availability for walking and boarding. I have a lot of free time and can be of service on weekdays and weekends! I also live walking distance to the beach and a few parks where I will bring your pet.

About: Hi there! I’m a Boston Terrier owner and dog-lover in Belmont Shore. I like to stay active and I would love to take your dog on a walk (my dog is lazy and would rather stay home!). Some places I like to dog-walk are the green belt and the beach path. I’m very experienced in taking care of short-nosed dogs. I can't wait to meet your pup! I work remote so my schedule is very flexible. For day care, I typically take dogs out for a morning, midday, and evening walk and then they can relax in the house or yard while I work. I have a small, fenced front yard that I allow dogs to spend time in with supervision. I have a small dog (Boston Terrier) that will also be in the home if you book day care. He is very friendly and enjoys other dogs after a few minutes warming up to them!

“I recently rescued a deaf dog, Artemis, and was nervous about leaving her with a sitter after only a week together. Lisa made the whole experience easy and stress-free. After a meet-and-greet with Lisa and her dog Rigby, followed by a visit to her home, I knew Artemis would be in good hands. During her stay, Lisa provided updates, photos, and videos that gave me peace of mind. Artemis loved the large yard, which gave her plenty of space to run and play. I highly recommend Lisa and would gladly trust her with Artemis again.”

“Lisa was so awesome . She took such great care of my baby Bella . Seems like Tulli & Bella got along great. I highly recommend Lisa for doggie day care . I will definitely be requesting Lisa again! Thank you Lisa !”

“Sean was great. Athena is high energy and took her on many walks. The pictures received shows she was comfortable in the home, and received updates throughout the day. I am very thankful of the service provided and would absolutely recommend them.”

“Shannon was great with Harley! At the meet and greet he ran right up to her, which he rarely does with strangers at the park. She was flexible with the schedule which was super helpful for drop off and pickup, and she made him feel calm and relaxed as evidenced by the many photos she shared with us. Highly recommend Shannon, and we hope she can watch Harley again.”

“Alyssa took great care of Lily, made communication easy and kept us updated throughout the day! Lily enjoyed her day relaxing and exploring. We would definitely book a stay with Alyssa again!”

“Zoë had such a great time with Sabrina. The communication and pictures during the day helped me to know that my puppy was well-cared for. I would definitely use Sabrina for doggie daycare again!”

“Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Seal Beach
WOW!! I had a complicated situation regarding the care of my dog while I was on an almost two-week long trip. Makenna couldn't have made it any easier for me. My dog, Tigerlily, loved staying with her. When I arrived to pick her up, I could see she was completely comfortable with Makenna and was very happy to be with her. Every dog owner worries about their dog while in the care of a dog caregiver. I received a steady stream of photos from Makenna showing the little adventures they did together each day. One day included a doggy spa day. It was adorable. It very much put me at ease and I could enjoy my trip without worrying about Tigerlily because I knew she was in good hands. I want to keep Makenna all to myself, but I also feel that other dog owners should get to experience the highest level of care available that is provided by Makenna. I've already scheduled another sitting session with her. I'm sure Tigerlily can't wait.
This is the second time we used elizabeth, and when you bring your dog over, who's very attached to you and he happily goes in the apartment with them.Tll that he's gonna have a lot of fun.And feels safe there. And equally not stressed when I pick 'em up. It's nice to have people you can rely on.And make your dog feel safe, and she and her husband are just lovely people. I would highly recommend them and your dog will be very safe and very loved.

Megan and her family were so kind, loving, and attentive to our dogs. They sent photos, gave them lots of toys to play with, walked them several times during the day, had treats and even gave them baths! My frenchies can be a bit demanding and they took such great care of them, I felt totally at ease leaving our doggies with them. 🥰 We would love to book with them again when we’re back in the area!

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
