“Heather is super caring and dog friendly. My dog Sokka knows when we pull up to her house because gets super excited and whiny. He fairly launches out of the car to get to her door.”

About: I am an experienced dog walker and cat/bird drop-in care. Specialized in emotionally challenged dogs. Very large dogs that pull can be difficult for me to manage. I have availability between 8am and 9pm most days, seven days a week. My availability is uploaded a month in advance. Please book early to guarantee availability. Pet safety is my priority. I am aware of surroundings during walks, particularly for coyotes, and carry pepper spray for extra protection. I also gauge walks based on a dog’s need and capacity.
“We are always anxious about leaving Waffles with someone so we picked Katherine due to her excellent reviews. She is very responsive, she was available to meet us ahead of time and she is very communicative and detailed. She sent us updates and photos and I can see Waffles had a great time with her. We not only recommend her but will definitely book her more often. Thank you for giving us peace of mind while away from our baby!”

“Had to do a last minute booking and Alexis was able to accommodate us and even did a last minute extension due to the evacuation, she is a literal life savor. 100% would rebook in the future.”

“I was hesitant to leave my 4 month old puppy in daycare while we were at the Disneyland park but I'm glad we did. Jenni was great with her and updated me throughout the day. My puppy had a great time and was able to socialize with other dogs. She seemed to like Jenni and loved going back the next day. If you are going to Disneyland, Jenni's location is only 5 min. away. I highly recommend her and her services.”

“Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.”

“Cheryline was incredibly friendly, flexible, and made the whole process so easy. She took great care of Charlie, and I had peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

“My beagle Roe had an amazing time staying with Akiko for the day! She is very sensitive and it was my first time dropping her off somewhere but she had a great time! Akiko sent me so many pictures throughout the day and I could tell Roe was being really well cared for by her and her family!”

“Diego loved daycare at Michelle’s house. We did a meet and greet with her dogs to make sure they’d get along and it went great. She took him out frequently. She updated me with photos and messages throughout his stay. We are comfortable leaving our dog with Michelle and definitely recommend her!”
“This was our very first time using Rover and the first time leaving our two Doberman puppies with someone other than family. We had an event in Anaheim that we couldn’t bring the puppies to, so we found Bernard on Rover. We explained that we have two Dobermans, both about a year old — one with significant anxiety and the other an affectionate love bug. Without hesitation, Bernard & Hung was willing to take both of them. When we arrived, he was incredibly accommodating, patient, and understanding. He took the time to listen and even let us stay awhile until the puppies felt comfortable. Throughout the day, he sent us updates and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind. Now that we’re home, our puppies are relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better first Rover experience. Thank you, Bernard!”

“First time Rover user here! Alex is an amazing dog sitter. He is kind, caring, responsive, reliable, and absolutely an animal lover. We left our puppy with Alex for the day, and we got lots of cute videos & pictures of them playing, cuddling, and just enjoying each others company. If you are hesitant to book with Alex— I give you my strongest recommendation. We will definitely use his services again. Thank you so much, Alex and family!”

“This was our first rover experience as well as first puppy sitter experience. I must say that Sunny is an exceptional and humble person! We needed some help at the last minute and she was there for us. We received several updates throughout the duration of his stay which was very comforting to know. Our little boy had a great time with her and made a new best friend. Thank you for all of your help Sunny, we feel sound with our little one in your hands!”
About: Hi, I have 25+ years hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. I give lots of love, attention, and dependable care so pets feel safe and happy. We walk, we play, cuddle and relax, they will have the best time ever! I will send pics so you will see your happy pup 🐾 Can’t wait to meet your precious pup! I currently work 4 hours a day during the school year and my husband works from home. We have a 3 year old lab that is great with all pups. If your pup wants to play she will play, if your pup wants to be left alone, she will leave them alone. Your pup will constantly have company. Your pup gets consistent attention throughout the day. I make sure each pup gets plenty of love, exercise, and care built into my day 🐾 I make sure your pup is comfortable, and stress-free. I pay attention to doors, feeding instructions, and I’m careful with medications if needed. Most importantly, I create a calm, loving environment so pups feel at ease and cared for while you’re away
“Jose and his wife are great pet sitters! They took excellent care of my dog, accommodated me last minute, and were very understanding when I ran late. I’d definitely use them again and recommend giving them a try.”

“Candi is the best! Top of the line communication, lots of photos and videos. Lehua cam home happy and tired which is just what we wanted. If you’re looking for daycare while you’re at the parks, Candi is the best! Thanks for taking such great care of our baby!”

“Alvaro took really great care of my dog, Harley, who is partially blind. Alvaro followed directions to give my dog her medicated eye drops and ointment. He sent lots of photos of my dog and had great communication on how she was doing. When we dropped off Harley, she was a bit timid and scared but Alvaro was able to take good care of her and made her feel comfortable. I will definitely book services again with Alvaro when we’re in SoCal. He is about 15-20 mins away from Disneyland.”

“Gloria & Ro took amazing care of our sweet Lenny for 3 days during the day. By day 2 he was racing to their front door! He had fun at the dog park & made some new puppy friends! We will definitely be repeat customers”

Alvaro was great with my pomeranian pup. I truly appreciated the photo updates, and my pup looked like he was enjoying his time. Communication was good from start to finish, which provided significant peace of mind. It is very reassuring to know I can trust someone with my precious pup and be confident he is well cared for. He was clearly happy with Alvaro, and I will definitely be booking with him again.

Monique was wonderful! We set up and meet and greet and chatted for a little bit to talk all things Sophie. She made drop off and pick up quick and easy. Sophie updates flowed throughout the day and I could tell my girl was a happy pup! She was super flexible when I sprang an early pick up time and forgot to give her a better heads up since she’s quite close by. We are so appreciative of her flexibility. Thank you!

Lisa and her family were wonderful and loving to our Tika. Tika has a home away from home! She will be spending a week with them soon. I’m so happy that I can leave and know Tika is in loving and caring hands! What I love the most is that they understand her playfulness and curiosity. I highly recommend this family for your fur babies!!

Our dog Lexi made herself at home with Carrie, Sean, their son, and their two dogs. We got pictures of her relaxing and enjoying herself. Lexi got along with their mellow dogs. We were also happy that they have a young son because Lexi loves children. Arrival and departure were on time and easy. We will be booking with them again.

Taffy enjoyed her time w/ you which was a big relief for me as this was the first time she had been away from me in the year since I adopted her, especially being in someone else's home. She had been abandoned by her previous owner, so I was anxious this would work out. I now feel comfortable if I need to place her in day care or board her for a time, knowing she'll be fine. Thank you Diana.
Last-minute booking due to the Garden Grove/Stanton evacuation, and I was so grateful to find Sara on Rover. She is amazing, caring, and super knowledgeable about dog behavior. My Snow is a shy girl, but with Sara she felt comfortable going on walks and car rides. Sara gave hourly updates and sent lots of pictures throughout the day. She is absolutely a gem, and I would definitely recommend her for dog daycare!

Our pups had the pleasure of being cared for by Elizabeth and her sweet mom. We did doggy day care for 2 days. We did an initial visit on video and Elizabeth showed us the set-up. Perfectly equipped with open space, outdoor area for the doggies to roam, and bedding for their comfort. Our boys enjoyed having little friends and being walked and came back to us happy and tired at the end of the days. Elizabeth was super communicative and friendly and just great overall. Thank you guys so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westminster commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
