“Wendy was my dog's first Rover sitter. The experience could not have been any better! He sent updates and photos throughout the day, and took amazing care of my fur baby. I will definitely be asking him again!”

“Cheryline was incredibly friendly, flexible, and made the whole process so easy. She took great care of Charlie, and I had peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: I enjoy spending lots of time playing, walking and even a little training. I have also had senior dogs that need a little extra care and attention. I am recently unemployed and have lots of time available. I would love nothing more than to help as many pets/pet parents as I can. Dogs can enjoy lots of play time and walks as well as maybe a little place time and snacks. I have had senior dogs as well that just need some down time and cuddles. I have a big fenced in backyard that allows for lots of playtime or maybe some rest in the shade.
“Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.”

“Last-minute booking due to the Garden Grove/Stanton evacuation, and I was so grateful to find Sara on Rover. She is amazing, caring, and super knowledgeable about dog behavior. My Snow is a shy girl, but with Sara she felt comfortable going on walks and car rides. Sara gave hourly updates and sent lots of pictures throughout the day. She is absolutely a gem, and I would definitely recommend her for dog daycare!”

“Diane was very patient with my Max and gave him space to adjust to new surroundings. She sent me an update with a picture which put me at ease knowing he was doing okay. I know he was in good hands with Diane and will definitely bring him back.”

About: Since I was a little girl, I've had an a connection for animals. Family and friends knew I had patience with animals more than humans giving you unconditional love. I currently own 1 shih tzus and 2 cats . I dont have any siblings around my age so my animals make me feel all the love I need. I currently have a part-time job, which allows me to spend quality time with my pets. I take my dogs out to walk 2-3 times a day and help my neighbors as well as my friends to take out their dogs. My pets have their own little home in the backyard which is very safe for them since they have a tall gate. I take my pets grooming about 2 times a month and they show me how happy they feel with all the care I provide for them.

“Mary Ann took great care of Pixie who's a rambunctious 5 Mo old currently. It was the first time leaving Pixie with a stranger but after the first day she was excited to visit with Mary Ann. She took Pixie on walks and sent pictures each day showing how my girl was doing. I would definitely recommend having your pooch stay with Mary Ann too.”

“Amy took amazing care of our dog Bonsai for a day while we were on vacation in the area. She sent us lots of updates and he clearly had a great time. We wouldn’t hesitate to have Bonsai stay with Amy again.”

“Our dog Lexi made herself at home with Carrie, Sean, their son, and their two dogs. We got pictures of her relaxing and enjoying herself. Lexi got along with their mellow dogs. We were also happy that they have a young son because Lexi loves children. Arrival and departure were on time and easy. We will be booking with them again.”

“Had to do a last minute booking and Alexis was able to accommodate us and even did a last minute extension due to the evacuation, she is a literal life savor. 100% would rebook in the future.”

About: I have had many years experience of taking care of many types of cats and dogs, young and old. I always ensure a thorough job well done, as a pet parent and someone who empathizes with both you and your fur baby, I do my best to make this Rover process of letting another person care for your babe as easy as I possibly can. When I have a responsibility to you and your pet, it is my main priority! My schedule works around yours. I manage my own small business, and work pet sitting. I have so much free time and much more TLC to give. While you're on vacation or a work trip, give me some work to do and let me kittysit for you. While I'm taking care of your fur baby, you'll get tons of photos of them having a good time, napping, eating, and going for walks (if they're a dog). I live in an upstairs apartment with a single roommate who owns a small male dog(neutered), and I own a male cat(neutered). I'll be watching over and caring for your fur baby in comfort and safety. Theyll have access to their food, water fountain, and their own bathroom. Your baby will be kept clean! We don't like germs or dirt. If they want company and cuddles it's always welcomed, so I make sure to maintain a healthy environment for all. I do not put animals and crates unless if I'm instructed otherwise. I do recommend bringing a little bed and toy for your pup if theyll be staying over night.
About: I had a people aggressive dog. So I’ve learned a lot with her these past 8 years. But also Im natural caretaker so very patient! Right now on summer break looking for new position. So my schedule is pretty flexible now until I find a full time position and then I can see where dog walking fits My dog had behavior issues so I am very good with all tempers and I am very patient. I am also very observant to tell if other dogs are going to be friendly or not.
“Jasmine was so great! She sent prompt updates and responded quickly. She handled my scared guy so well and we appreciated her effort a ton! Definitely recommend her for all your pet needs. :)”

“Turned to Rover when I needed help on short notice. Thankfully Monique was available and after a brief get to know you meeting I book a day of care for Daisy. It couldn’t have gone better! I was immediately comfortable that Monique would be great with Daisy. She gave us lots of updates and pictures during the day and everything went smoothly. I would recommend Monique to care for your pet without hesitation.”

Monique was wonderful! We set up and meet and greet and chatted for a little bit to talk all things Sophie. She made drop off and pick up quick and easy. Sophie updates flowed throughout the day and I could tell my girl was a happy pup! She was super flexible when I sprang an early pick up time and forgot to give her a better heads up since she’s quite close by. We are so appreciative of her flexibility. Thank you!

Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.

Lisa and her family were wonderful and loving to our Tika. Tika has a home away from home! She will be spending a week with them soon. I’m so happy that I can leave and know Tika is in loving and caring hands! What I love the most is that they understand her playfulness and curiosity. I highly recommend this family for your fur babies!!

We were also happy that they have a young son because Lexi loves children. Arrival and departure were on time and easy. We will be booking with them again.

Taffy enjoyed her time w/ you which was a big relief for me as this was the first time she had been away from me in the year since I adopted her, especially being in someone else's home. She had been abandoned by her previous owner, so I was anxious this would work out. I now feel comfortable if I need to place her in day care or board her for a time, knowing she'll be fine. Thank you Diana.

Our pups had the pleasure of being cared for by Elizabeth and her sweet mom. We did doggy day care for 2 days. We did an initial visit on video and Elizabeth showed us the set-up. Perfectly equipped with open space, outdoor area for the doggies to roam, and bedding for their comfort. Our boys enjoyed having little friends and being walked and came back to us happy and tired at the end of the days. Elizabeth was super communicative and friendly and just great overall. Thank you guys so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westminster commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
