“Vanessa was great. We had a family emergency and were out of town. She allowed a meet and greet on short notice. She was very communicative and helped care for my timid dog. It helped me be more at ease knowing my dog was in good hands while tending to our family and being gone for a whole day.”

About: I enjoy spending lots of time playing, walking and even a little training. I have also had senior dogs that need a little extra care and attention. I am recently unemployed and have lots of time available. I would love nothing more than to help as many pets/pet parents as I can. Dogs can enjoy lots of play time and walks as well as maybe a little place time and snacks. I have had senior dogs as well that just need some down time and cuddles.
“Last-minute booking due to the Garden Grove/Stanton evacuation, and I was so grateful to find Sara on Rover. She is amazing, caring, and super knowledgeable about dog behavior. My Snow is a shy girl, but with Sara she felt comfortable going on walks and car rides. Sara gave hourly updates and sent lots of pictures throughout the day. She is absolutely a gem, and I would definitely recommend her for dog daycare!”

“Diane was very patient with my Max and gave him space to adjust to new surroundings. She sent me an update with a picture which put me at ease knowing he was doing okay. I know he was in good hands with Diane and will definitely bring him back.”

“Had to do a last minute booking and Alexis was able to accommodate us and even did a last minute extension due to the evacuation, she is a literal life savor. 100% would rebook in the future.”

“Jasmine was so great! She sent prompt updates and responded quickly. She handled my scared guy so well and we appreciated her effort a ton! Definitely recommend her for all your pet needs. :)”

“Cheryline was incredibly friendly, flexible, and made the whole process so easy. She took great care of Charlie, and I had peace of mind knowing he was in such good hands. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter.”

About: I have had many years experience of taking care of many types of cats and dogs, young and old. I always ensure a thorough job well done, as a pet parent and someone who empathizes with both you and your fur baby, I do my best to make this Rover process of letting another person care for your babe as easy as I possibly can. When I have a responsibility to you and your pet, it is my main priority! My schedule works around yours. I manage my own small business, and work pet sitting. I have so much free time and much more TLC to give. While you're on vacation or a work trip, give me some work to do and let me kittysit for you. While I'm taking care of your fur baby, you'll get tons of photos of them having a good time, napping, eating, and going for walks (if they're a dog). I live in an upstairs apartment with a single roommate who owns a small male dog(neutered), and I own a male cat(neutered). I'll be watching over and caring for your fur baby in comfort and safety. Theyll have access to their food, water fountain, and their own bathroom. Your baby will be kept clean! We don't like germs or dirt. If they want company and cuddles it's always welcomed, so I make sure to maintain a healthy environment for all. I do not put animals and crates unless if I'm instructed otherwise. I do recommend bringing a little bed and toy for your pup if theyll be staying over night.

“Mary Ann took great care of Pixie who's a rambunctious 5 Mo old currently. It was the first time leaving Pixie with a stranger but after the first day she was excited to visit with Mary Ann. She took Pixie on walks and sent pictures each day showing how my girl was doing. I would definitely recommend having your pooch stay with Mary Ann too.”

“Amazing!!! I left my puppy sky with them for a couple hrs while I had to run some errands and she came back exhausted!!! (She’s never tired) thank you for sending updates and lots of photos of my baby will definitely be booking again with yall!”

“Annalie is a great dog sitter to my puppy Bella. Bella remembered her from the time before and was excited to see her. Annalie provided me with photos of Bella while out on walks. She is the only dog sitter I will use for Bella.”

About: I'll care for your dog as if they are my own. I have a senior doggo and also have recent experience with an energetic puppy. I love all dogs! I work from home all week and my schedule is somewhat flexible. I’ll be able to care for your dog and provide attention as needed. I live in a small, cozy apartment and it's very dog-friendly. It’s easy to go on nice walks and meet other dogs if your dog is social. My dog has a spare bed and dogs are allowed on my couch and bed. To be honest, my dog basically owns the home and he welcomes other furry friends to share the space.

So dog sitting fits into my routine great at the moment because I don't have any other commitments. I live in a condo with a balcony. There is also plenty of areas where I can walk around with the dogs and they can have there time!
“Thank you so much. Kelly did an amazing job with my babies. We were able to celebrate my mom's life without worrying about the dogs getting into everything. We appreciate it so much...”

I’ve cared for cats and dogs of all ages and I’ve had two awesome dogs of my own which helps me really get what your furry family needs. I genuinely love animals and can’t wait to shower your pets with tons of affection, playtime, walks, and cuddles while sending you plenty of photos and videos throughout the sit so you can see all the fun they’re having. About: Welcome, Friend! Your fur baby will be in great hands. For the last 25 years I've met, rescued, fostered, adopted and found families for several pups of all ages. I have cared for hospice, medical needs, puppies, seniors and all in between. Luckily I am home most of my day and we love being outdoors or relaxing on the couch. There are quite a few supplies on hand- including safety latches and hard crates, if needed for transport. To help ease your day, I'm happy to share pictures and videos of your fur baby. I can't wait to hear from you 🐾 My availability is quite flexible and I'm open to special time requests. I have a per diem job that is just around the corner and my toddler doesn't have much of a social life yet so he goes with the flow! We have options!... which I love! My home has a fenced front yard and back yard with canopy shade and kiddie pool available for those that love water, need some stimulation or to cool down from the warmer weather. I have small and large crates available, if needed. Since I don't park my car in the garage, it's an option for pups needing any personal, quiet space (possibly for recovering from medical treatments or the introverts). It is tiled and can have AC during the warmer times of the year. At my home we have myself, my 3 year old Son and my 18 year old Daughter. I also have 5 fur babies (all rescues) that may or may not (at your preference) be a playmate for your pup.
“The best! Very punctual communication. Very kind. Flexible. My pup is very anxious and is used to us being around all the time and Lisa and family were around giving him constant love and attention and he loved it. He was very well taken care of. Lots of pictures and updates. Just a great experience all around. Lisa is my new go-to!”

Lisa and her family were wonderful and loving to our Tika. Tika has a home away from home! She will be spending a week with them soon. I’m so happy that I can leave and know Tika is in loving and caring hands! What I love the most is that they understand her playfulness and curiosity. I highly recommend this family for your fur babies!!

Our dog Lexi made herself at home with Carrie, Sean, their son, and their two dogs. We got pictures of her relaxing and enjoying herself. Lexi got along with their mellow dogs. We were also happy that they have a young son because Lexi loves children. Arrival and departure were on time and easy. We will be booking with them again.

Taffy enjoyed her time w/ you which was a big relief for me as this was the first time she had been away from me in the year since I adopted her, especially being in someone else's home. She had been abandoned by her previous owner, so I was anxious this would work out. I now feel comfortable if I need to place her in day care or board her for a time, knowing she'll be fine. Thank you Diana.

Turned to Rover when I needed help on short notice. Thankfully Monique was available and after a brief get to know you meeting I book a day of care for Daisy. It couldn’t have gone better! I was immediately comfortable that Monique would be great with Daisy. She gave us lots of updates and pictures during the day and everything went smoothly. I would recommend Monique to care for your pet without hesitation.

Our pups had the pleasure of being cared for by Elizabeth and her sweet mom. We did doggy day care for 2 days. We did an initial visit on video and Elizabeth showed us the set-up. Perfectly equipped with open space, outdoor area for the doggies to roam, and bedding for their comfort. Our boys enjoyed having little friends and being walked and came back to us happy and tired at the end of the days. Elizabeth was super communicative and friendly and just great overall. Thank you guys so much!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Westminster commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
