“Heather is the best! She has great communication skills and is so reliable. My dog Woody just loves her. She is so good to my cat Mittens(who is spicy) and I really appreciate that.”

About: Hi! My name is Alexa, I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs and other animals of many personalities and ages. I recently relocated to California and have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide attentive and reliable pet care. I am happy to help with dog walking, drop-in visits, overnight care, puppy care, and providing extra patience for senior dogs or pets who may feel anxious when their owners are away. I have a 2 year old fur baby of my own, Arlo; who's taught me how important routine, exercise, and affection are for a dog’s happiness and well-being. I’m always able to adjust to your pet's needs and personality. Whether they love long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with someone nearby. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I enjoy spending the majority of my time with animals and being active outdoors. I structure my schedule to allow plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and making sure pets get the attention they need throughout the day. I am sure to keep their routine as consistent as possible with what they’re used to at home. I follow instructions closely when it comes to feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any special needs. I know pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same love, patience, and respect I would give Arlo ❤️. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the pet’s environment and the home itself. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while also keeping their surroundings clean and calm. I pay close attention to their behavior and energy levels to make sure they are happy and stress-free while you're away. Communication is also important to me, I like to provide updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your fur babies are doing well.
“Where do I begin...… We were out of the country for a family vacation for 10 days and we entrusted our fur family to Nadine and Josh. They took the BEST care of our pets. They followed all our instructions so all of our pets (two dogs and three cats) did not feel out of their routine. We have a senior chihuahua and two senior cats so they needed extra belly rubs and scratches! They got all their belly rubs and more. We received photos on every visit which put us at ease. Everything was left clean and beyond our expectations! I would 200% recommend them. We will definitely ask them to come back the next time we are out of town. Sincerely, thank you so much for everything! Emma, Kyla, Rockne, Kona, and Remy miss you and say thank you too. June M. Huntington Beach”

“So kind and trustworthy! My dog was well cared for the whole time. Great communication, daily updates, and a happy pup when I got home. Definitely recommend Vivian !”

“We had an excellent experience with Hannah! She took wonderful care of my cats while I was gone, making sure they were well fed and comfortable. It was clear she genuinely cared and treated them like her own. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Sarah is very nice and helpful. She took great care of my rabbit and was very responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates. I'll definitely book her again for our next trip!”

“Asmita did a fantastic job taking care of our cat in our home while we were gone for 2 weeks. She cared for our cat like it was her own and even alerted us to a potential medical issue that we were not previously aware of (which were then able to resolve before we returned). Will definitely use her services again!”

About: I have been surrounded by animals my whole life. From big dogs to small dogs. I currently have a 13 year old French bulldog. She is blind and deaf and has a hard time getting around. I do everything I possibly can to make her happy. From taking slow walks, to administering medication. She is the light of my life. I will make my dog my priority. I will keep them safe and happy. I will love them like they are my own. I am a college student home for the summer. I am currently only working for Rover! I am very flexible with home visits and walk times. My goal is to keep your home and your pets as safe as possible. I will make sure to lock doors, gates, and secure your pet in the home or crates as needed.

“Shana is great! I hired her to take care of our tortoises that live outside while we were gone for 9 days. Not only did they need daily food and water, but their house also needed to be cleaned regularly. They’re pretty large tortoises so they also make big messes. She updated me every day, took pictures, and I came home to a spotless tortoise enclosure which was a dream. She really cared for them the way we do and I knew she bonded with them from her messages. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy and extremely caring, hire Shana!”

“Emily was so good with Tushie, who was being "babysat" for the first time by a non-family member in 18 1/2 years. Emily was responsive and prompt, so easy to work with. 10/10 - highly recommend.”

“This was my first time using the Rover app. I was very skeptical since I was so worried about my 2 big dogs (my kids) who are pretty young and don’t know their boundaries sometimes when it comes to people. I have a German shepherd and a Doberman. Yes big dogs who are very hyper. I had to leave for 7 days to another state due to an urgent family business. I found Annie and booked her last minute to take care of my dogs at my apartment. I was very worried for her because she is this tiny lady when I met her. My dogs easily tower over her. But don’t let her size fool you! She was very sweet to my dogs and very knowledgeable with a lot of dog care. She even introduced me to different puzzles my dog can use for the meantime. She always sent me updates and when she noticed something different with my dogs stomach issues, she was very prompt in letting me know and we talked about what we can change with their food intake. I really felt at ease having her take care of my dogs while I was thousands of miles away from them. Annie is an Angel that was sent to me especially at the last minute when I needed my family members (dogs) to be taken care of. Some of the pictures she took, my dogs looked so happy. I was a bit jealous! Hahaha but I was also very grateful that it was her who were taking care of them. I am definitely booking her again for dog care. Thank you Annie! I really appreciate you! See you again for the next time! Beau and Mercy says hello!”

“Jennifer is such a wonderful companion for my pug mix, Lola, who is older but still really active. Whenever she sees Jennifer, she runs right to her, tail wagging. I'm grateful she's in our lives.”

Andrea went above and beyond for our two kitties. This was our first time leaving them for a longer period of time and Andrea communicated everything clearly and made us feel at ease with the updates and photos. I highly suggest her. She also got my cat who is afraid of everyone and everything to come out and play! She is truly a cat whisperer:)

Jaclyn was absolutely amazing! She took wonderful care of my babies, giving me complete peace of mind while I was away. I loved receiving regular updates and cute photos showing how happy and well-cared-for they were. I’m so grateful for her care and will definitely be booking with her for all my future pet sitting needs. Thank you so much, Jaclyn!

We had an excellent experience with Hannah! She took wonderful care of my cats while I was gone, making sure they were well fed and comfortable. It was clear she genuinely cared and treated them like her own. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Vivian did so well with my cats! She went above and beyond while caring for my cats while I was away, always keeping me updated each day. Really appreciate how clean the litter box was when I returned. She even emptied the trash can when it got too full with the litter. Very trustworthy and professional, definitely recommend her.

Maddy followed through with everything we asked. Reptar is a little jerk to new people sometimes but she was able to get him to come out, play a little, and become friends with him by the end of his care. He didn’t have any accidents when I came home which is the best thing I could ask for since he’s likes to when I’m out of town to make me know he’s mad with a stranger. That just shows how great she was with him. would definitely book her again!

This was my first time using rover and honestly I was super nervous. Those nerves went away so fast with Andrea. She asked a ton of follow up questions when meeting my cats to ensure she would be able to take care of them properly. That really eased my mind when I was leaving. During my trip she sent constant updates and pictures of the state of the kitties and my apartment. I was able rest easy knowing my cats and my apartment were in amazing shape. I am so incredibly grateful for Andrea's communication and care skills. If you need someone to take care of your pets with the same care you do Andrea will do just that

Kendall was amazing with my cats! This is the second time I’ve had her come feed my kitties. Kendall sent great updates and pics, and it was clear my kitties were happy and well cared for. Super reliable and easy to communicate with — definitely book again! 😊

Geneva made me feel completely at ease while I was away. She took care of Oreo as if she were a member of her own family. She sent me videos every time she visited, which meant so much because I could see my baby girl from afar. Geneva is truly caring and very detail-oriented, always checking everything carefully to make sure Oreo had all the supplies she needed. I will definitely choose her again the next time I travel.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
