Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets by making sure that I ask questions about their behavior ahead of time. For example, I ask about certain commands that the dog knows to keep them safe such as saying “heel” or “wait” or “with me” before we cross the street.

Information Maddy Y. would like to know about your pet

I like knowing if your pets get along with other animals and people. For example, should I cross the road if I see cyclists, children, or other dogs? I also like to know how many treats, if any, you would like me to give to your pet. This way, we are both on the same page about your pet’s health.

A typical day

I love providing walks, pets, and any care that your pet may need. I am willing to walk as fast or as slow as your dog needs. Many dogs that I have cared for in the past have enjoyed playing with toys.

Pet care experience

I grew up with two dogs, one standard poodle and one morkie (Maltese-Yorkie mix). I helped train the morkie when he was a puppy, going through obedience school at the local Petsmart. I have taken care of many dogs and cats for friends over the years. I would love the chance to help give your dog more attention throughout its day, as I cannot have a dog of my own right now. I am a teacher so my summers are free and I get home from work around 4:30pm during the school year. I am a very active person, so I love taking dogs for walks and hikes. Let me know if you would want me to take your dog on a hike and I would be happy to give him or her some extra hill training! I hope I can bring some love to your dog!

Maddy followed through with everything we asked. Reptar is a little jerk to new people sometimes but she was able to get him to come out, play a little, and become friends with him by the end of his care. He didn’t have any accidents when I came home which is the best thing I could ask for since he’s likes to when I’m out of town to make me know he’s mad with a stranger. That just shows how great she was with him. would definitely book her again!
