As a Ph.D. student, I have a flexible and structured schedule that allows me to consistently incorporate pet care into my daily routine. I plan my days around responsibilities, which makes it easy for me to prioritize visits, walks, and check-ins without feeling rushed. Caring for my own cats is already a big part of my daily life, so feeding schedules, playtime, cleaning, and monitoring behavior are second nature to me. Adding in pet care for others fits seamlessly into that routine. I’m also intentional about not overbooking, so I can give each pet the time and attention they deserve. Whether it’s morning, midday, or evening visits, I’m able to show up consistently and stick to your pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Overall, pet care isn’t something I “fit in”—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and able to build my schedule around.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in your home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I follow your instructions closely—whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or specific habits your pet is used to—so they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I’m very respectful of your home and make sure everything is kept clean, organized, and exactly how you left it. I’m also attentive to the details that matter, like monitoring eating habits, energy levels, and behavior, so I can quickly notice if anything seems off. Overall, I aim to create a calm, reliable presence so your pet feels safe, cared for, and as comfortable as possible in their own home.
Information Hannah M. would like to know about your pet
I like to learn as much as possible about your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs before starting care. This includes feeding schedules, energy levels, comfort with strangers, and any behavioral quirks or triggers. It’s also very helpful to know about medical needs, medications, or past health concerns, as well as how your pet typically responds to new people or changes in routine. I always appreciate details about what your pet enjoys (and what they don’t), so I can tailor my care to help them feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you’re away.
A typical day
I tailor activities to each pet’s personality, energy level, and comfort. For more active pets, I’m happy to incorporate playtime, walks, and interactive toys to help them burn energy and stay engaged. For cats (and more independent pets), I focus on enrichment in ways they enjoy—things like wand toys, independent play setups, and giving them space to explore while still feeling engaged. I’m very mindful of not overstimulating pets and will follow their cues when it comes to play and affection. For pets who prefer a calmer environment, I’m just as happy to provide companionship—whether that’s relaxing nearby, offering gentle pets, or simply being a consistent, reassuring presence. I also like to mix in small moments of enrichment, like rotating toys or changing up play styles, to keep things interesting without disrupting their routine. Overall, my goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, mentally stimulated, and comfortable while you’re away—whether that means playtime, quiet companionship, or a mix of both.

Pet care experience
I approach pet care with the understanding that every animal is different—whether they’re energetic, shy, routine-driven, or need a little extra patience. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality so they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I have hands-on experience caring for pets with more complex needs. One of my own cats is on anxiety medication, so I’m very comfortable administering oral meds in a calm, low-stress way and paying close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, and mood. More recently, my family dog went through a three-month battle with cancer, where I was actively involved in adjusting care routines, monitoring comfort, and providing consistent, attentive support. That experience deepened my ability to respond thoughtfully to pets who need extra care, patience, and flexibility. I’ve also grown up in a household with up to 12 pets at one time, so multitasking and providing individualized attention is second nature to me. I’m confident managing different routines, energy levels, and personalities all at once. I’m highly detail-oriented and reliable, so you can trust that feeding schedules, routines, and any specific instructions will be followed carefully. I also prioritize communication—I provide consistent updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Above all, I treat every pet like they’re my own: with patience, respect, and a genuine investment in their comfort and happiness.

Reviews
Hannah was excellent. She was very efficient, prompt and communicated all interactions in detail. When I requested additional help she was agreeable and accommodated our schedule. She was very friendly and our puppy looked forward to seeing her. I appreciated her help very much.

We had an excellent experience with Hannah! She took wonderful care of my cats while I was gone, making sure they were well fed and comfortable. It was clear she genuinely cared and treated them like her own. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter!

Hannah was amazing! Attentive with my kittens and to their needs. This was the first time I was away from them since I adopted them so I was very nervous, Hannah sent photos and updated me throughout the visits. I will definitely have her back if she’ll return. Thank you!!!
