“Alyssa was amazing with checking in on our two dogs—she was communicative, timely, and followed directions I left her. My dogs looked so happy! Will definitely book her again!”

About: I have taken care of animals for as long as I can remember! I am constantly around and animals and having to commit myself to taking care of them. I am willing to learn and adapt to taking care of each individual dog as needed to fulfill any needs. When I come to take care of, play with, and walk your dogs I will dedicate my time to loving and caring for them. I have experience with both elderly dogs and puppies as young as just a few days old. I am currently available full time during the summer for any drop ins or house sitting when needed! I am also flexible and can accept last minute bookings. When in your home I would love to take your babies for walks, to the dog park, or anything else that is a part of their normal routine to make them more comfortable!

About: I have been around dogs my whole life. I grew up with a Labrador from the time I was born until I was around 10 years old, and since then I have had two other dogs, including a Great Pyrenees/Golden Retriever mix and a Border Collie mix. Because of this, I have experience with different sizes, breeds, and energy levels, from large dogs that need strong handling to active dogs that need plenty of attention and playtime. I have also dog sat for family and friends before, so I understand how important it is to make sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away. I will always check in frequently with updates, make sure your dog is fed on schedule, take time to play with them, and give them the attention they need. My schedule is very flexible. I am home for the summer from UCSD and currently shadowing a doctor, but I am able to work my schedule around what is best for dog or cat sitting. I am available on both weekdays and weekends, and I can usually make most times work. I will always communicate clearly if I have something planned on a certain day, and I will make sure we figure out a schedule that works best for you and your pet. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I will make sure they are cared for, supervised, and given plenty of attention while you are away. I am comfortable playing with pets, throwing tennis balls or toys, taking dogs on walks, letting them outside, and watching them closely while they are out. I will always follow your instructions for feeding, routines, walks, playtime, and any specific needs your pet may have. I understand how important it is to keep pets on their normal schedule, so I will make sure they are fed on time and cared for in a safe, responsible, and loving environment.

“Danielle is amazing! She stopped by twice to take my pup on a potty walk. She took photos to ensure me kayn was being taken care of. I will definitely be using Danielle again for future visits ! Thank you so much!”

About: I used to have 27 cats and 2 dogs in my apartment. Many of them are picked up from the street or sick. After I work with the pet doctor, I training them, and help the autism and mental disabled people and seniors people. I am currently working part time, so I have plenty of time to play with your pups! I am available on weekends and weeks day. My apartment has no other pet right now! And All the animals like me, and I have so many years experience with pet. I can easily get along with good relationships with your pets.
About: I have lived with, loved, and cared for dogs throughout my entire life. I have been pet sitting and walking for over a decade. I have also been fostering dogs and cats for many years, so I am well versed in the care of pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. I have 3 pets (2 dogs and cat), for which my love is unmeasurable, and I can assure you that I will show your animals the same love. All of my pets are very friendly to other animals and love having friends over! If your dog would rather not be around other dogs then you can just book house sitting, and I will come give them my undivided attention in your home. I have a minor in animal science from UC Davis, I have worked at a local doggy daycare, and most recently I worked at the San Diego Humane Society before moving back to Huntington Beach. That being said I am completely comfortable caring for senior animals and pets with special needs. I have personally owned an anxious and reactive dog, so I know how scary it can be to leave them with a sitter, but I can assure you that I will go at your dogs pace, and I will be extremely attentive to things like doors and gates to make sure your baby stays safe. I am also comfortable using a variety of walking/training tools (Prong, Ecollar, gentle leader etc.), so if you would like me to incorporate these into your dogs walk that is no problem. In addition, I am experienced in giving subcutaneous injections if that is something your pet needs and I am pet CPR certified. My life basically revolves around animals, and I would love to bring yours into my orbit! *** Please Note - I recently had a name change so my former reviews show a different than the name on my account. My name is Forest, but the reviews referencing "Karly" are for me, and written by my clients. Aside from pet sitting I run an etsy business from my home, so aside from running quick errands, I will be with your pets 24/7. My yard is completely fenced, secure, and set up with the safety of dogs in mind. We also have a doggy door if your dog is used to having 24/7 access to a yard, but this can also be closed for owners who are not comfortable with it. I can also provide a large crate if your dog is used to being left in a crate at night or when left during the day (however your dog will rarely, if ever be alone).
About: Hello! I adore animals of all kinds and have always seen my pets as part of my family. I've had years of experience with several sweet cats and dogs of my own. We've always rescued and found the best furry friends. For the last 10 years, I've cared for 2 sweet labs next door with frequent walks, meals, tuck-in service (bedtime kongs), and general cuddle puddles 4 days a week. I cat and dog sit for several neighbors and family members and have been doing so consistently for the last 12 years. My home is "beach cozy" (translation: small), so it's best suited for all cats and small-medium-sized dogs that enjoy getting out for walks. If you have a senior dog or cat that needs extra TLC or a quieter home, no kids, no other pets, and all the attention is on them, I am happy to provide a safe, comfy space! I work from home most days and have plenty of time to dedicate to pet, potty, and play breaks! I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate most pet needs. I have experience with administering medication and daily IV fluids. I got very comfortable caring for my senior CKD kitty for over a year. Anything to make life better for these sweet souls I'm willing to do! I am a thoughtful and caring pet sitter and will take care of your fur friends like family!
“OMG! Monique is AMAZING! We are so lucky to have found someone who our fur child absolutely loves. As first time dog parents we have a tone of questions, are super over protective and a bit nervous when trusting someone new with our almost two year old lab Barley. Monique is super patience with us and takes the time time to listen our needs along with Barleys. She also gives great feed back and detailed updates during her visits. We feel so fortunate to have found someone who is so passionate working with fur babies!”

About: I have always had pets growing up and love both dogs and cats! I’ve lived in socal for 10 years now and just moved to sunset beach, where I plan on getting a dog when my landlord allows it. For now, though, I’ll give your pets all my love and attention! I work a full time job and will be available some weeknights, but primarily weekends. Animal sitting, walking.. etc. I need more animals in my life and this is my first step in that direction! I treat pets better than humans in most cases, as I’m sure you do too. They are extensions of our family that offer unconditional love, and deserve the same in return.
About: I’m a responsible, caring, and attentive sitter who truly enjoys spending time with dogs/cats and making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved. I love taking dogs out for walks, playtime, and parks while paying close attention to their comfort and routine. I’m patient when getting to know each pet’s personality, habits, and needs, so they can feel relaxed and cared for while you’re away. I personally raised a Golden Retriever, which gave me hands-on experience with daily care, exercise, and companionship. I’ve also been helping care on and off for my neighbor’s two 10-year-old King Charles Spaniels and 5 cats for the past 5 years, including walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, parks, and keeping them company. Your pet’s happiness and safety will always be my priority. I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give pets the attention, care, walks, and companionship they need throughout the day. I’m available most weekdays and weekends. At this time, I’m unable to offer boarding in my home, but I’m happy to provide drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting. I provide regular photo and video updates so my clients always know how their pets are doing in real time. I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by following their normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and any special instructions. I take time to build trust with each pet, give them plenty of attention, and keep their environment clean, calm, and secure whether in my client’s home or during visits.
About: I have a deep love for all animals and have grown up caring for pets my entire life. I have extensive experience sitting for various breeds and temperaments, from high-energy puppies to gentle seniors. I’m very comfortable managing feeding schedules, long walks, and providing the specific attention each unique pet needs to feel safe and happy. I balance my time between graduate school and teaching, which allows me to offer dedicated care during the early mornings and evenings. My schedule is very consistent, meaning I can provide your pets with a reliable routine they can count on. I also have wide-open availability on weekends for pet sitting and extended adventures, ensuring your furry friends get plenty of focused attention and exercise. Safety and trust are my top priorities when entering a client's home. I am extremely diligent about following all home security protocols, ensuring doors are locked and alarms are set. I maintain a clean, organized environment and strictly follow the 'house rules' you’ve established for your pets. Whether it’s keeping curious paws away from hazards or making sure the water bowl is always fresh, I treat your home with the same respect and care that I give my own.

About: Growing up, I have always been surrounded by dogs, cats, birds, and more. As a pet friendly family, I gained a passion for caring and bonding with animals large and small. I am a firm believer that our furry friends never hide who they are and love unconditionally no matter what the situation. Pursuing my passion, I began pet sitting for family and friends in both the Southern California and South Florida communities. I have assisted with walking, feeding, playing, bathing, and giving medications when needed. I am currently working as an independent contractor with a flexible work schedule. I will be happy to work with your schedule accordingly. Looking forward to meeting your special pet. Currently, I am sharing a home with a 6 pound chihuahua and a Pit/Bulldog mix. Both pups are spoiled with lots of love and comfort. Each dog has their own beds, blankets, and toys in multiple areas of our home. Long walks and playtime are also daily activities that everyone looks forward to.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Sunset Beach
Maddy followed through with everything we asked. Reptar is a little jerk to new people sometimes but she was able to get him to come out, play a little, and become friends with him by the end of his care. He didn’t have any accidents when I came home which is the best thing I could ask for since he’s likes to when I’m out of town to make me know he’s mad with a stranger. That just shows how great she was with him. would definitely book her again!

Sofia was an excellent pet sitter. I was traveling for 3 weeks out of the country and Sofia dropped by every other day and took car of my multiple cats. The cats are a handful and one required medication and Sofia did a great job. She fed and watered them as well as cleaned their litter boxes. Three of the cats hide in my sofa and she aways looked in it to make sure the three shy cats were there and ok. She also proved updates and pictures of the various cats which I enjoyed looking at from across the world during my vacation. I would highly recommend Sofia for any of your pet sitting needs.

I would highly recommend Alisa and wouldn’t hesistate rebooking her services. She was communicative and easy to work with. She took great care of our pets and sent photo updates to us which reassured our smallest members of the family were well taken care of. Thanks Alisa!

Jadyn was professional, trustworthy, and communicative. When my cat first met her, he warmed up to her immediately, and I felt comfortable during the time I was away. Jadyn sent me daily updates and pictures which let me know he was well cared for, and put my mind at ease.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
