“Dayna was wonderful with my pup. There was an instant connection and I could tell he really liked her. She sent fabulous pictures from her drop in visits and from their walks. Thanks Dayna! I will definitely have her sit my pup and kitty again :)”
“May was WONDERFUL!!! We have two barky chihuahuas & they took to her immediately! We were able to have fun & enjoy our long day away knowing that May would take them on walks & make sure they had dinner. I will definitely book with May if we ever are gone for the day! ❤️❤️❤️”

“Georgia was wonderful! So great with our two little pups, one who is especially nervous around new people. She was patient and kind and they both felt safe. She left detailed information about the entire visit and several pictures, letting us know they were in great hands while we were away. Will definitely rebook the next time we need a sitter. Thank you Georgia!”

“Shena was absolutely amazing with my cat, Barnaby! She truly went above and beyond in every way, not only taking exceptional care of him, but also checking in on my other pets, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was incredibly sweet, attentive, and made sure to send daily photos and videos, which meant the world to me. It was so comforting to see how happy and well cared for Barnaby was, he clearly adored her! I couldn’t recommend Shena enough and feel so lucky to have found my forever pet sitter.”

About: Hi there, my name is Amanda and I’m so excited to care for your pet! I just moved to OC in the last few months and am looking to build up my Rover clientele. I’m in school at the moment to become an elementary school teacher and am hoping to get some supplemental income (plug some dog and cat snuggles!!). Growing up with cats, I’ve taken care of them from a young age. However, I love and have experience with dogs as well. I’m looking forward to getting to know your pet! Feel free to reach out with any questions and I hope to hear from you soon. My teacher credentialing program is fully online so I can be flexible with my times for visits throughout the day. I will do my best to accommodate last minute requests. I’m also happy to schedule a meetup if you’d like! I will follow any directions and instructions left word for word. I will also make sure to send daily updates so you can vacation / be away from home stress-free!
About: I’ve grown up with dogs and cats my entire life! I was raised caring for our pets as part of the family and I hope to get the chance to extend my care and love to your furry family members! I also have a 1.5 year old mini dachshund named Pabu - so I have experience with the puppy years! I love to try to fulfill as many of your pet’s needs as possible - playing tug of war, setting up sniffing games, and even teaching them a trick or two for their mental stimulation. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family! I currently work T/W/Th so have plenty of flexibility during the rest of the week when it comes to caring for your furry friends! My puppy is crate trained and I’m walking distance from a dog park. For your furry friends, I’m comfortable walking them along new or familiar routes and have experience with reactive dogs if they need a little extra attention to the surroundings! I also have experience setting mental stimulation games!
“This was my second time booking with Meamea and I am just as happy as the first. I received so many photos and my cats were very content when I came home. I can tell she loves animals so much and she takes great care of my cats!”

“Alexa was amazing and very our shy dog grew very fond of her very quick! She went above and beyond when taking care of our dog. She was very on top giving updating and has great communication. Our dog is looking forward to see her again!”

About: I’m Margarida 😊 I have been a pet caretaker for 10+ years. I’ve done foster services, worked as a veterinary assistant, and have been a pet sitter now for 3 years. My Experience 🐾 I’ve fostered hundreds of cats from all areas of life and socialization stages. From newborns to elderly cats, pregnant mothers/in labor, cats with disabilities and feral rescues in need of socialization. I can proudly say every cat I've fostered has always gone to a forever home and it warms my heart to see rescued animals become friendly and sociable with humans. I worked as a vet assistant during my time in college for Community Mobile Vet in Santa Cruz. My job consisted of handling cats and dogs of various sizes, as well as birds and other animals, which included administering medication and claw clipping. Services 🦮 I am experienced in bottle feeding, giving medication, cleaning up waste, basic grooming, claw clipping, exercise, and socialization of cats/dogs of various sizes/ages/abilities. Contacting me 📞 You can call/text me through this website and I should reply shortly. I am flexible and available all days of the week! Weekends may differ, but please always check my calendar for availability! My family and I have been deeply invested in animal welfare and care since I was young. I no longer live with my family and I miss the joy of being around animals and taking care of my own pets and foster pets, I love to meet and care for other people’s pets! Having been a vet assistant and fostering hundreds of cats, I have to be prepared for the unexpected and take precautions with every animal I meet. It's extremely important to be aware of any triggers or risks in an environment so I can be accommodating to the pet I am caring for. I like to provide a very friendly and attentive environment where I can gauge their needs at any given moment. This includes being accommodating to a pet’s social/behavioral needs and giving them the space to warm up to me.
“Jenna did a fantastic job with our pets when we had to leave town unexpectedly. She's reliable and seems to really care that our boys were safe, comfortable, and happy while we were away.”

“Once again, Kristin is the absolute best! We’ve used her to take care of our cat for a little over a year now and there’s no one who even comes close to her level of above and beyond. 10/10 everytime. 🙌🏼”

“Ashley is amazing! Our family and puppy love her. she always takes such good care of our fur baby and even brings in the mail for us. She’s our regular go to for pet sitting. Thank you so much”

About: I have had animals my entire life: dogs, horses, cats, and fish. One of the hardest things in college was not having an animal around me at all times. This means your pets will be provided with so much pent up love that needs to be shared! I am also a college athlete so if your fur baby is on the hyper side and needs a faster paced walk or run I will be able to make that happen. Anything your pet needs I will provide, because I know how much these animals mean to people. From a personal standpoint, I understand the worry that goes into being away from your babies so if you'd like I can always send you pictures or selfies with your pets to keep you at ease!
“Elise always sends great photos, is easy to communicate with, and just so great with our cat. Really appreciate her watching our kitty and he seems to really like her too.”

Another amazing visit from Natasha! Our cats remembered and greeted her immediately, which is the best feeling ever. She’s a great communicator and leaves the best check-in notes and photos. We’re so lucky she could watch the boys again and trust her completely. Thanks Natasha! ❤️

Had a great experience! Marissa was reliable, communicative, and took really good care of my cat while I was away. I felt totally at ease knowing everything was being handled. I came home to a happy, well cared for pet and everything was just as I left it. Would definitely book again and recommend to others!

This was my first time using Rover, and it was hands down the BEST experience I could have asked for, especially with Chris caring for my dog & cat! 🐾 Chris has incredible communication skills and kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me so much peace of mind :) He is also extremely punctual and reliable, especially when it comes to feeding and walking schedules, which meant everything to me & more. The level of love and care he showed my animals was truly top notch. He followed every instruction perfectly and still found ways to go above and beyond in so many thoughtful ways. For the first time in a very long time, I was actually able to relax and disconnect from “pet mom mode” because I knew my animals were being cared for exactly how I would care for them, if not even better. I also loved the pictures Chris sent, you could genuinely see how much fun my pets were having with him, and somehow he even got my cat to come out and play, which says everything. If you’re thinking about booking with Chris, do it!!! You’ll thank me later & your pets will gain a new best friend 🐾

I've used Martha for about 5 years now. She's taken great care of my fur babies. I used to get "proof of life" pics of my shy, anxious cat, Stella...two glowing eyes under the bed. While my other, people-friendly, cat soaked up all the love. Fast forward a couple years...Now Stella loves on Martha like they're best friends. It's a furry miracle.

Abigail was awesome! We used Rover before and we have always had great dog/cat sitters!!! Abigail took time with our Holly who was grieving the loss of her “ sister”! Who died of cancer! Abigail understood and took extra time with my babygirl Holly! Took her on extra walks too! Sent daily photos of our girls and followed the daily routine!! We are very Abigail and will certainly use her again !!! We couldn’t be happier with care she gave our little girls and our little boy Cat!!!!

Erica was great she took really good care of my cat Sadie. She handled all my cats special needs. it was the first time I was able to go on vacation and not have to worry about my fur baby. I knew she was in good hands. Erica kept me well informed and sent me pictures daily. My cat really likes her I can tell cuz she acted like she was looking for her the first night that i got home right about the time that Erica makes her visits. Also hearing that my cat was following her all over the place tells me that she really liked her. Thank you for your service. Diane Gotti

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Huntington Beach. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
