About: Animals have been part of my life since childhood — dogs, bunnies, horses, and even llamas. I’ve had everything from boxers to Frenchies and chihuahuas, so I’m great with all personalities, from shy pups to big goofy puppies. I genuinely treat every pet like family and focus on creating a loving, safe space while you’re away. I work remotely on an East Coast schedule, so I’m typically finished by early afternoon. This gives me availability for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. Evenings and weekends are flexible, and I’m able to spend quality time with your dog. I care for pets in your home by following your routine — feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I keep your pet comfortable, happy, and cared for while also keeping your home clean and safe. I send regular photos and updates so you feel confident they’re doing great.
“Krystal is amazing!! She is so sweet and gentle with dogs, I can tell she is an animal lover. She was also willing to stop by twice in one day to check on my dog and provided pictures/updates every time😊 I always feel comfortable knowing Dobby is in good hands with Krystal!”

“Roxanne was able to help with my pup on super short notice while we were away, which we really appreciated. She was very responsive and replied right away to messages. We loved getting updates and photos during her visits—it gave us great peace of mind. We’ll definitely be reaching out to her again next time we’re in town!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have over 10 years of hands-on experience. Right now, I care for my own 7-month-old Belgian Malinois mix puppy, Calico, which has given me plenty of practice handling energetic breeds, training, and creating routines. I also have a gecko, so I’m comfortable caring for exotic pets with unique needs. In the past, I’ve cared for senior dogs too — my current family dog is 12 years old and thriving — so I know how to provide gentle care for older pups. Whether it’s puppies, seniors, or exotic pets, I make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and loved like they’re my own. I currently work part-time, so I have plenty of availability to fit pet care into my routine. Whether you need daily walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, I can be flexible to meet your pet’s needs. :) I make sure every pet has their basic needs met like fresh food, water, bathroom breaks, and a safe, clean environment. I pay close attention to their energy levels, giving active dogs lots of exercise and playtime, while keeping senior or calmer pets comfortable and cared for. Your pet’s safety, well-being, and routine are always my top priorities.
About: Pet sitter in Newport. Quite new to Rover with little experience here now, but I’ve also looked after my own pets always. I’m reliable and calm. I rescued my cat after she was abandoned by ex neighbor and she’s a happy indoor cat now. Flexible schedule and I can come any time of the day. Available most days. Newport Beach, working mainly locally. Send me a message, thank you. For boarding I’m often home during the day too, but sometimes out. Let me know how anything specific you’d like me to do. I will take care of your pets and make sure they’re happy, safe and healthy.
“Vi took excellent care of my cat while I was traveling and is an absolute professional! From her flexibility to arrange a meet up over hectic travel schedules, to her attention to detail around care instructions, Vi made me feel comfortable that my cat was well loved and cared for while I was away. Thank you!!”

About: I recently graduated from college (UCI 🐜) and I have so much time to spare this summer! I am very patient, active, and responsible and I love working with cats and dogs. With any of my available services, I will always make sure to put you and your pets first. I just graduated from college and would love to take care of cats and dogs in the city in the last few months of my lease in California. This gives me a very open and flexible schedule for you and your pets! At my college apartment, I don't have any pets. But at home in New Hampshire, I have two cats, one tortoiseshell and a tuxedo boy who are both indoors. I also grew up with a greater swiss mountain dog and took care of her in her senior years. My experiences aside, I understand that every cat family is different and have different values which, as a sitter, I would deeply respect.
About: Hello! I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of all different breeds and ages since I was a teenager, so it’s been a while! I’m reliable, kind and patient with animals as well as their owners! I can assist with training if the animal is young. I have also dealt with a lot of senior aged pets as well that just need a little extra love and attention! Please feel free to ask me any questions! Due to Hurricane Ida damages, my place of employment is temporarily closed for the time being, so I am available for part time work and for full time work ! I have a big spacious yard of my own in a safe and friendly community that adores pets if I need to take your pet with me!
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life. I know the importance of having someone you can trust to care for your fur babies. I I’m available Monday -Friday. I have every weekend available for you as well. Please let me know in advance and I can help you. Thank you I have a fenced yard and believe first and foremost of safety for your animal. Making sure they are properly restrained is my first priority before any walk or outing.
About: I’ve grown up caring for both dogs and cats, and currently help care for my 6-year-old French Bulldog and 8-year-old Golden Retriever, so I’m very familiar with daily routines, senior dog needs, and attentive care. Since childhood, I’ve also walked and pet-sat neighbors’ dogs and cats. Since 2021, I’ve been a dog walker at Priceless Pet Rescue, where I’ve gained experience handling dogs of all temperaments, including more challenging ones. I even used to walk horses and donkeys at Back Bay Therapeutic Riding Center, so I feel confident handling all kinds of pets! I'm currently home for the summer after graduating from college, so I will have plenty of time for walks, play-dates, and pet/house sitting! I will be out of town 7/4-7/9 and 7/25-8/1, but will be very flexible outside of these dates! I provide attentive, responsible care and ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their homes. I follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding, walks, and medication if needed, while also respecting and keeping the home clean, secure, and well-maintained.
“Garrett was amazing. He was patient with my puppy and even was able to put her harness on, of which I couldn’t do without a fuss. Now she sits and lets me put it on no problem. I will definitely hire him again and again. Highly recommended him to anyone.”

“This was our first experience using Rover. We have a new puppy and I was nervous, however Ashley was amazing, on time to each drop in visit, great communication and updates. My request for help was very last minute and Ashley was quick to respond and help us out. I know we'll be using rover a lot more and this first experience gave me great confidence. Thank you Ashely!”

About: I have been volunteering at an animal shelter since I was 15, where I walked, fed, cleaned, and played with both dogs and cats every week. Through this experience, I became comfortable caring for pets with different personalities, sizes, energy levels, and needs. I’ve also pet sat and walked many dogs for friends, family, and neighbors, and I always make sure animals feel safe, cared for, and loved while their owners are away. I am currently a full-time student at UCLA, but I usually only have one class a day so I have a lot of free time to take care of your pets! I am available for walking everyday, and available for drop-ins everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday. When caring for pets in their homes, I focus on keeping their routines consistent so they feel comfortable and secure. I make sure they get plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and affection while also keeping their space clean and respecting each owner’s instructions and preferences.
About: I’ve been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I started volunteering at a local animal shelter in high school back in New Jersey, which gave me hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages and temperaments. After moving to NYC, I worked with Social Tees Animal Rescue to foster multiple dogs in my apartment — each with their own personality, needs, and quirks. I loved the challenge and joy of helping them feel safe, loved, and ready for their forever homes. Now that I’m new to Orange County, I’m eager to get involved in the local animal rescue community and am actively researching nearby shelters. In the meantime, I’m hoping to fill the dog-shaped hole in my heart by caring for pups through Rover. I grew up with yellow labs and recently said goodbye to my family dogs, Bo and Luke, in New Jersey — so I know just how special that bond is and how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. I work fully from home, which gives me the flexibility to provide attentive, consistent care throughout the day. I’m also very active — I’m a runner and yoga teacher — and I take multiple walks along the beach daily, so adding a dog to that routine would be a joy. Regular bathroom breaks, exercise, and quality time are never an issue with my schedule. Whether your pup needs lots of outdoor time or just some extra cuddles and attention during the day, I can easily adjust to their needs. I genuinely enjoy having a dog around and look forward to building a connection with each one I care for. Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. Whether I’m caring for a dog in my home or theirs, I make sure the space is completely dog-proofed — no food or harmful items within reach, trash secured, and any off-limits areas blocked off. I always do a quick sweep of the environment to remove potential hazards before the pet arrives or I begin my stay. I also take time to understand each pet’s specific needs and routines — from feeding schedules to preferred walking routes or quirks around other dogs. I never leave pets unsupervised in unfamiliar environments, and I’m mindful of keeping doors securely shut, leashes clipped properly, and making sure they're never out of sight on walks. My goal is to create a calm, safe, and cozy environment where pets feel at ease and pet parents feel confident their animals are in caring, capable hands.
About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience and genuine love for all furry friends. I volunteered at an animal shelter from ages 16 to 19, gaining experience with pets of all ages and needs. For the past 8 years, I’ve been pet sitting for friends and family, including puppies and senior pets. I'm comfortable with medication, special routines, and providing calm, attentive care. Pet care is a natural part of my daily and weekly routine. I plan my schedule around each pet’s needs, making sure they get the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Whether it’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening cuddle time, I enjoy building consistency and trust with every pet I care for. Their well-being is always a top priority in my day. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize comfort, safety, and routine. For overnight and daytime pet sitting, I make sure pets feel secure by sticking to their normal schedule—meals, walks, playtime, and downtime—just like they would with their family. I give plenty of attention, affection, and supervision, and I’m happy to accommodate any special instructions, from medication to favorite toys or routines. For dog walking, I provide safe, engaging walks tailored to each dog’s energy level and needs. I make sure they get both physical exercise and mental stimulation, and I always keep an eye on their behavior and well-being.

Tala was so great!!!! She left detailed updates after every check in, complete with a lot of photos!! I can tell she really cares about my boys (cats) and I would 100000% book her again. Thank you Tala! You made our vacation so much better with your attention to detail and help.

I had a wonderful experience with Marne as my pet sitter. She was communicative and reliable. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My cats were happy, well cared for, and comfortable when I returned. I would love to book her again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter.

Another amazing visit from Natasha! Our cats remembered and greeted her immediately, which is the best feeling ever. She’s a great communicator and leaves the best check-in notes and photos. We’re so lucky she could watch the boys again and trust her completely. Thanks Natasha! ❤️

Krista and Kelsey looked after our 16 yr old cat (Gizmo) whilst we were away for 5 days - making home visits twice a day. Communication was first class, as were the daily photos showing us how happy and content Gizmo was. This is our first time using Rover and we would have no hesitation in asking for Krista and Kelsey to look after Gizmo again.

I love Shianne!! She knows my pets, and can handle any special instructions, keeps me up to date, and sends cute pictures! She just helped me out in a pinch and she coordinated well with my son’s drop-ins which made the schedule a little unpredictable. I recommend her highly and will happily ask her to watch the furry ones any time!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Newport Beach. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
