About: 🐾 Howdy Hey! Hi! I’m a UCI student, certified EMT, and cat mom who truly understands how important it is to find someone you trust with your cat. I’ve cared for cats throughout my life and currently have a kitten of my own, so I know cats are not “low-maintenance” pets — they have routines, preferences, boundaries, and emotional needs just like dogs do. My goal is to care for your cat with the same patience, attention, and love that I give my own. Whether your cat is playful, shy, curious, cuddly, anxious, senior, or more independent, I’ll meet them where they are and help them feel safe, respected, and comfortable. 🐱 My Cat Care Philosophy I believe cats deserve enrichment, stimulation, and individualized attention — not just food, water, and a clean litter box. Cats deserve to live their best lives too, and I love creating a calm, engaging environment that supports their natural instincts. Depending on your cat’s personality and comfort level, care may include: • Feeding and fresh water • Litter box maintenance • Playtime with wand toys, toy mice, tunnels, or your cat’s favorite toys • Treat puzzles or simple enrichment activities • Scratching opportunities • Cozy resting spots and calm companionship • Brushing, if your cat enjoys it • Medication support, if instructions are provided • Regular photo updates so you know how your cat is doing I also offer safe indoor bird-watching enrichment. I have a bird-feeding area outside where cats can enjoy “cat TV” from a secure indoor window view. Cats remain fully indoors and safe at all times — this is visual enrichment only, with no outdoor access or contact with wildlife. 🏡 Cat Boarding in My Home For boarding, I aim to create a calm, safe, home-based environment where your cat can settle in without feeling overwhelmed. I keep care intentionally limited so each pet gets focused attention and is not treated like just another booking. Because I have a cat of my own, I do not force cat-to-cat interactions. Your cat’s safety and comfort come first. I can provide a separated space with their own food, water, litter box, cozy resting area, toys, and enrichment. If your cat needs time to decompress, hide, observe, or slowly adjust, I completely respect that. I understand that some cats are social and curious, while others need quiet, patience, and personal space. I’ll follow your cat’s usual routine as closely as possible to help reduce stress while you’re away. 🧼 Cleanliness & Safety I take cleanliness seriously, especially when caring for cats. Litter boxes, food areas, water bowls, surfaces, and shared items are cleaned regularly. I also pay close attention to changes in appetite, litter box habits, energy level, behavior, and overall well-being. My EMT background has made me detail-oriented, calm, and observant, which helps me notice when something seems off and communicate clearly with owners. Before boarding or visits, I like to know about your cat’s: • Feeding schedule • Litter box habits • Medical needs or medications • Favorite toys and enrichment • Hiding spots or comfort items • Personality and handling preferences • Stress triggers • Behavior around other cats The more I know about your cat’s routine, the better I can care for them. 🌿 Outdoor / Catio Policy For safety, I do not provide outdoor roaming, balcony access, or unsupervised outdoor time. Boarding cats will remain indoors in a secure environment. For drop-in visits, I’m happy to follow your cat’s normal routine if they have a fully enclosed, secure catio at home. Catio time must be discussed ahead of time and will only be provided if it is safe, enclosed, and owner-approved. 💬 Communication You can expect clear communication, thoughtful questions, and regular photo updates. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else, so I want you to feel reassured that your cat is safe, comfortable, enriched, and genuinely cared for. Thank you for trusting me with your cat. I’ll treat them with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. As a UCI student and certified EMT, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day (or night). Whether caring for dogs or cats, I strive to keep each pet's routine as consistent as possible while their owner is away. During visits, I provide fresh food and water, exercise or playtime, bathroom or litter box maintenance, enrichment, and companionship tailored to each pet's personality and needs. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their familiar environment. Every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. Before each booking, I take time to learn about feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, favorite activities, and any behavioral or medical concerns. As a certified EMT, I'm attentive, calm under pressure, and comfortable recognizing changes in behavior, appetite, activity level, and overall well-being. I understand that dogs and cats thrive when their routines are respected, and I work to create a safe, positive, and low-stress experience while you're away. I also provide regular photo updates and clear communication so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Brooke is so kind and accommodating. I needed her last minute and made some modifications to my booking and she was extremely flexible and accepting. I am excited to have her watch my cat again!”

“Kailyr is a caring, attentive, and responsive sitter! One of my boys needed medication while I was away and she was able to give it to him no problem. You can tell she truly cared for my cats and is an animal lover. Would love to book with her again!”

About: I had one Abyssinian and Ragdoll cat before, so I know how to take care of those cats. I will do everything that makes the cat comfortable and happy. I am available everyday after 3 pm. I can make special schedule based on your needs. I am flexible during weekends as well. Thank you I have everything needed to provide a safe and cozy environment for cats. I have things like cat litter, brushes, wet foods, cat toys, and air filters.
“I got lucky when I found Lauren. She definitely understands and is very knowledgeable about cats. She took amazing care of my cats. She sent me updates daily and even took a picture of one of my cats. In addition, she brought in my trash cans which I left out before leaving for my trip. If you're looking for someone who knows a lot about cats, takes very good care of your cat(s) and provides daily updates, I highly recommend Lauren. She is very good, reliable, and trustoworthy. I won't hesitate to use Lauren again in the future.”

“This is our 3rd time having Irina taking care of our kitty, and both us and our kitty love her so much! She did all we asked her to do and went above and beyond to keep the areas tidy!”

About: Apart from growing up with dogs and cats, I’ve been trusted since high school to dog sit, dog walk, cat sit, do animal related chores, and much more! I even work with a facility dog for my 9-5 job! I can assure you that your furry (or non-furry) friends are safe with me! 🐾 I work full-time during the week, so my walking and drop-in services start right after 6:00 PM onwards. If your pet needs evening companionship, a late-day walk, or bedtime potty breaks, I am your person! I am typically available all day on Saturdays and Sundays as well. Feel free to look at my calendar for more details or send me a message! I am comfortable with all breeds and sizes of cats and dogs. Crate trained, free-roaming, etc! I can do feeding time, potty breaks, play time, and walks around the neighborhood.
“Lisa is fabulous. She’s a sweetheart- very kind, very conscientious, and an absolute animal lover. She helped take care of our rambunctious puppy and we’d happily have her come again and recommend her to friends!”

“Irene is fantastic. Very professional, communicates extremely well, and is great with our dog. Our pup is in a shy phase, and Irene has been extremely patient with her as they get to know each other. She knows how to properly establish a relationship with dogs. She always sends detailed reports, and makes sure our dog is comfortable and has her food and water taken care of. Looking forward to continuing on with Irene.”

“Rachel was amazing in every way. She followed the directions to the letter. She was very friendly, detailed, and really took care of the cats. She took amazing photos and videos. I will book her again in a heartbeat!”

“I needed someone to play with my super energetic cat (Skooma) while I have to be away. Skooma loves her and follows her around during her visits. My old, grouchy cat (Bidoof) usually hides when people come in but she seems to stay visible when Victoria is around which is an amazing thing for Bidoof. We love Victoria! She is super nice and accommodating, even when I needed to add a last minute day to her visiting schedule. 💖”

“Yung is reliable and professional. She is quick to respond to messages which is very reassuring when it comes to our fur baby. I was able to book her to help us out last minute and she was very communicative about the details of her visits including lots of photos. She also has amazing independent judgment because I forgot to tell her not to leave toys out for our dog who likes to eat toys and she knew to put things back before she left. Highly recommend her and will definitely use her services again!”

“This is the third time Bennie & Jennie have taken care of my cats, and it was just as great as the last two times! Both cats were well cared for during the drop-ins, and my shy one came out even more this time! It really is nice to have the peace of mind I get every day when Bennie & Jennie send photos and videos of my cats during the drop-ins when I’m out of town. I’d be happy to call on them again next time I’m out of town.”

About: I’ve always had a love for dogs and enjoy spending quality time with them. Over the years, I’ve cared for friends’ and family’s dogs of all sizes and temperaments, from playful pups to more relaxed companions. I’m attentive, patient, and fully committed to making each walk safe, enjoyable, and tailored to your dog’s needs. Whether it’s a high energy play session or a calm stroll, I take pride in building trust with every dog I meet. I am available most weekdays with various time slots throughout the day, I have limited availability on weekends for dog walking. I’m currently accepting a small number of clients so I can provide consistent, high-quality care. I take good care of other people's home to ensure it was left exactly how I found it. I will only be popping in and out for a quick potty break/feed/play visit and to gather your pups and return them for their walks.
“Connie is seriously the best!!! She is so kind and patient. I can tell she has been doing this for a long time. I’m so happy we found Connie to dog sit on our puppy! I’ll definitely be using her again in the future!”

Jennie is an amazing sitter! We used her for the first time to come twice a day to check on our cat and she was the best sitter we have used. She is super detailed and send tons of pictures and videos per visit, as well as letting us know before she was arriving at our home. Absolutely recommend!!

I’m so glad my cat was able to get such a thorough care while we were away. Sabrina is wonderful and so detailed that my cat was so comfortable and relaxed for the whole time. Even my cat has a bit of separation anxiety, Sabrina was above and beyond to take care of my cat to ensure she can keep her cheers up. Appreciated everything she has done for us and would love to have her come back next time!

Rachel is a professional, caring, trustworthy, attentive and uber-responsible pet sitter. She is also personable, calm, compassionate and reliable. She took excellent care of our cat, Remy, who is older and quite shy and nervous around strangers. Rachel followed all feeding and medication instructions and sent us photos, as well as videos. She didn't rush the visits, always showing up on time, and my husband and I sincerely appreciated her detailed updates and notes. If you want peace of mind when you can't be home with your pet then call Rachel. We can't write enough good things or recommend her enough. We certainly understand why she has earned the great reviews and has so many repeat and loyal clients.

This is the second time Elicia has taken care of our 17 year old, and I hope she never retires! She is someone I can trust completely; we were on a cruise so we didn't have service a lot of the time and knowing she was in charge back home made it so much easier to relax and enjoy myself, because I didn't have to worry!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Irvine. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
