“Tessa is an amazing addition to our weekly routine. She is very communicative and reliable. My dog is very shy and slow to warm, but he has been easily won over by Tessa’s care and consistency. I do not have to worry if my dog is safe or able to go outside, due to Tessa’s drop-in services.”

“Jingying and Alex were great! They really cared to do an in-person meet up beforehand to understand all my pets needs. They asked great questions to double-check all the care details. Highly recommend!!”

“Nao did an amazing job taking care of my two cats while I was out on vacation! She was very friendly and attentive and provided me with a lot of pictures and updates for each visit. I would definitely book her again for future :)”

“Eunice was great! She showed up on time and updated me after each visit with pictures and a summary. She was responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. Forest and Flower loved her! Thank you!”

About: My 16-year-old Pomchi bestie, Stella, is a testament to my care. I have been feeding, bathing, and loving her since I was 17 years old, and she is still doing great in her senior years. I am also a masters-level clinician in behavior health as a behavior analyst (BCBA). Because of this, not only am I well-versed in behavior change, positive reinforcement, and navigating challenging behaviors, but I've also had the honor of working with families of diverse backgrounds, including neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ families :) I'm taking some time off from my usual work as I wait for my out-of-state licensing to process for a fully remote position. This means that I have lots of free time this summer. Help me get out of the house before playing Fortnite for 8+ hours a day rots my brain!!! I like to provide as much or as little communication as what would make you feel comfortable. Want pictures, a text update, and a video call while I'm visiting your pet? That sounds great! Prefer that I keep your phone notifications to a minimum? That works too!
“Dalton was great with our 2 cats. He was responsive to messages, prompt, sent updates and photos while we were away, and most important, our kitties were happy when we returned.”

About: Dogs have always been a part to my life since I was little. My current boy is a sweet and gentle rescue from Korea. I live in a spacious townhome with a backyard so your dog will have plenty of attention and space to run around. Finding the right person is the most important part, so from walking to pet sitting, I am a patient, compassionate, and knowledgable choice. If you have specific instructions for your dog, I always make it my priority to review carefully and follow precisely. Expect lots of photo and video updates when you book with me😊 Since I work remotely, I’m home most of the day and love being able to give dogs plenty of attention and companionship. I only take one Rover client at a time (alongside my dog Prince), so your pup will get lots of care and undivided attention. Prince is very friendly and social, so your dog will have a sweet, playful buddy to keep them company too. I live in a spacious townhome with a fenced patio for safe outdoor breaks. I’m very intentional about creating a calm, secure space where dogs can feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow your care instructions closely and treat every dog like my own, making sure they feel safe, understood, and well cared for. If your dog has medications, supplements, or any special requirements, I’m extremely detail oriented and happy to accommodate. I set timers and stick closely to feeding schedules, potty routines, and any specific instructions to ensure consistency and peace of mind while you’re away.

About: We’re Patty and Steve — a pet-loving duo who truly enjoy caring for animals together and offer availabilities for extended housesits. As a couple, we bring double the attention, playtime, and affection to every pet we care for. Both of us grew up on opposite coasts as devoted pet parents, so we understand how important routines, personalities, and little quirks are when it comes to animals. Every pet has their own unique needs and idiosyncrasies, and we take the time to learn what makes them feel comfortable, safe, and happy. Through our travels around the country, we’ve had the opportunity to housesit and petsit for many wonderful families and animals of all kinds and all ages (from pups to seniors with various needs). Across multiple platforms, we’ve cared for 60+ pets and earned over 35 five-star reviews from happy owners who trusted us with their homes and beloved companions. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, cuddles, feeding routines, or special care instructions, we’re happy to accommodate whatever helps your pet feel loved and at ease. Our goal is always to make their time with us feel fun, active, nurturing, and as close to their normal routine as possible. Because we both work primarily from home, we’re able to provide consistent attention and maintain a stable routine — something that can be especially helpful for pets during overnight or extended stays. We also love keeping owners connected while they’re away. You can expect regular photo and text updates, so you always have peace of mind knowing your fur baby (and home) are being well cared for. We feel incredibly lucky to spend time with animals and treat every pet we watch with the same love and care we would give our own! We are currently working remotely with a flexible schedule, so we have plenty of open availabilities for a drop-in visit as well as overnight and extended stays in the clients' home. We are typically available on weekdays and weekends with flexible times. We approach every pet and home with care, respect, and attention to detail. Through house- and pet-sitting experiences, we’ve cared for pets during stays ranging from a few days to over a month, and we understand how important it is to maintain a pet’s normal routine while their family is away. Every animal is different, so we take the time to learn each pet’s personality, behaviors, and comfort level. Our goal is always to meet pets where they are so they can feel safe, relaxed, and build trust with us naturally. We’re experienced in following specific routines and care instructions, whether that includes crate time, structured feeding schedules, managing separation anxiety, or providing extra attention and reassurance for pets who need it. For dogs, we’re comfortable handling a variety of walking styles and equipment, including harnesses, standard leashes, retractable leashes, pinch collars, and e-collars. Safety on walks is very important to us, and we always prioritize controlled, attentive handling. We also have experience with different feeding needs, administering medications, and attending to special care instructions so pets stay healthy and comfortable while you’re away. When staying in a client’s home, we treat it with the same respect we would our own and aim to keep the environment calm, consistent, and secure for your pets. Our goal is for them to feel loved, cared for, and as comfortable as possible in their familiar surroundings. We’re always happy to communicate and provide photo and text updates, so you can relax knowing your pets and home are in caring and capable hands.
“Andrew was exceptional! I’m excited to book him again. He was attentive to detail and caring towards my cat, I felt very reassured and relieved being a first time cat owner going out of town.”

About: I’ve taken care of our family dogs (mastiffs, labs, and basset hounds) since I was a kid and have regularly cat-sit for family members and friends since I was 14. From giving medicine to cleaning up accidents I’ve probably handled anything your pet could throw at me before, and if they manage to give me something new I’m happy to learn! I work full time in a corporate office so I’m available outside the hours of 8:30a-5:30p (most days) to check up on your pets. I’m more than happy to make drop in visits on my lunch if I can! I want to make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible when I’m there! Treating your pet how you normally treat them is super important to me, and if for some reason I don’t think I’d be able to support your pet in their needs I’ll let you know right away so you can find a more appropriate sitter.

“Yichen was so sweet and communicative! Our kitty who can be quite shy around new people immediately loved her which says a lot about Yichen's wonderful character. The fact that she is a vet was also very reassuring!”

“Rowane did a great job watching my 3 cats while I was away for the holidays! They are all older and she was very attentive and checked in with me throughout the week if anything came up. It was awesome to see that she was spending time with them and giving them love outside of just the general duties. I will definitely use her again and would recommend her as a sitter for your furry loved ones!”

Tessa took care of our cat Olivia for a couple of weeks while we were on vacation. She came in to visit and care of Olivia once a day. She was absolutely fantastic. She provided daily updates with photos to us. It was clear that Olivia adored Tessa and could not wait for her daily cuddles. Tessa is a kind and warm person who loves animals. I hope she can take care of our pet next time we are out of town. Tessa, thank you for being so amazing!

Andrew was wonderful. He kept us informed and updated on our 2 kitties every visit. He paid attention to details and did everything we asked him to do, and beyond. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
