About: I have been caring for animals big and small my whole life including cats, dogs and even horses. Currently I am a dog mom to a border collie mix and understand a bit of a spicy personality. I prioritize making each pet feel comfortable and secure. I focus on safety, positive interactions, and plenty of affection on their terms. Communication is a priority, so I will always provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your furry friend is happy and well cared for. I work a hybrid schedule which allows me the flexibility to provide reliable, attentive care for your furry friend throughout the day. As a dog mom, I understand that leaving your pet in someone else's care can be stressful. My goal is to provide the same level of care, attention, and compassion that I would want for my own pets. I believe communication is key, so you'll receive regular updates and photos while you're away. My priority is making sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for from the moment we meet. Whether your pet enjoys playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply having a calm presence nearby, I'll tailor my care to their individual needs and routine.
About: I have 10 years of experience in dog care. I once had three dogs at home at the same time and allowed them to sleep on the bed. I would walk the dog every day and feed it three times a day, morning, noon and night. After meals, I would also prepare snacks for it. I will take very good care of your dog and report its condition to the owner at any time. If a bath is needed, I can also help with that. As I'm a part-time worker, I'm at home almost four to five days a week. I will spend time with your dog every day and give him plenty of playtime. I will also make sure he is fed and hydrated on time. Since I have a 7-month-old dog at home, your pet won't feel lonely. If you want to know about his current situation, I will take pictures and report to you. Since I live in an apartment, the privacy is very good. When I take my dog for a walk, I usually go downstairs with it to play for about half an hour to an hour. Once a week, I also take my dog to the park to play together. Whether it's playing or going downstairs, I will spray the dog with insect repellent spray, so there's no need to worry about bugs. After the dog comes back from the walk, I will wipe its body and give it enough water. If your dog needs any special care, I will strictly follow it and report it to you in time.

About: I have been caring for my own pets and entrusted with the care of pets of friends and family since I was young. Everything from medical needs (injections and pills) to love and affection. My schedule is mostly wide open with a few personal obligations. I am happy to wake up early or stay up late to care for and play with your fur-baby. Just let me know what they need and what you need and we’re set. I am skilled in medical care for animals including injections and pills. I will gladly send photo and video updates regularly and any other information you would like. I will happily follow any and all instructions to help make sure you and your pets are happy.
“Bailey was great and so attentive! They were great with our pets and took great care of them at each visit. Great communication and sending photos throughout the visit! We will definitely have Bailey back.”

About: Growing up with animals, I even considered becoming a veterinarian. I would enjoy making friends with your dogs and taking them to explore trails and parks together. I’m currently working full-time, generally available on weekends and holidays. I would prefer a two-day notice in advance to coordinate your schedules and your preferences. I can work with your preference and your pets’ needs, then I would be able to quickly get familiar with them and make them feel safer with me.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Irvine
Erin is awesome, and our cats seems to love her too! She is always taking great care (and pictures 🤣) of our pets. I trust her with our cats, she is really good at respecting the instructions and paying attention to them. We are a repeat booking and will definitely come back to her every time we need to travel if she’s available :)

Lauren was so wonderful. Felt so great having her there and really took the anxiety away from leaving our animals to travel. Great communication, left everything in great condition, perfect and concise updates. Will use her next time we need :) Best pet sitter ever!

My cat had a wonderful time with Amanda while we were on vacation. She really went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable, and it showed throughout her visits. He was a little hesitant at first, but she got him to open up quickly, and by the middle of the visits he was greeting her at the door! She stayed longer than scheduled, gave him the quality time he needed, and sent detailed Rover cards with photos and videos that kept us updated and reassured. She was also super responsive the entire time. We would absolutely book with her again in the future.
I couldn’t be happier with the care my cat Toro received while I was away! Michelle is an absolute gem and easily the best cat sitter we’ve ever had. From the very beginning, she impressed me with her professionalism and attention to detail. During our meet and greet, she took thorough notes about Toro’s routine, preferences, and personality. That level of care continued throughout the entire booking. She went above and beyond multiple times: when Toro had a couple of barf incidents, she cleaned everything up promptly and without complaint. She carefully followed his somewhat complicated wet food feeder routine, including washing his bowls each time — something many sitters overlook. Toro clearly felt loved and entertained because she made sure to spend quality playtime with him every day. One moment that really stood out was when Toro’s favorite interactive toy ran out of battery. Instead of letting him be disappointed, she brought her own charger from home to get it working again. That kind of thoughtful, proactive care means so much! Her daily Rover cards were always incredibly detailed and reassuring, and the pictures and videos she sent were high-quality and captured Toro’s happy personality perfectly. I never once worried about him while I was gone — I felt complete peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. I trust Michelle 100% with my cat and would book her again in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a reliable, attentive, and genuinely kind cat sitter who treats your pet like her own, look no further. Thank you so much for everything!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Irvine. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
