Maggie is a life saver. Traveling and fell ill unexpectedly. Needed a quick answer to a night time walk. Maggie responded within minutes and arrived shortly thereafter, providing relief to me and my guy Thor. 10/10 for compassion, flexibility and follow through.

About: I've taken care of my friends' dogs for years and adopted my own puppy 3 years ago! I've learned a lot about dog training the past few years, including loose leash walking, clicker training, working on reactivity, recall training, and getting through the puppy and teenage phase! I am familiar with positive reinforcement training and balanced training and can help keep up any training you have been working on with your dog while I take care of them! I'm familiar with various collars - regular, prong, slip, gentle leaders, and harnesses. I'm currently taking a work hiatus from being a pharmacist! So I have flexible scheduling during the day & evenings to help take care of your pup! I'm typically at the ceramics studio on Fridays, but if you let me know 2 weeks in advance of the Friday you need me, I can make arrangements. I am here to help your pets feel as safe and happy as they can while you're away. Just let me know their normal routine (no matter how detailed) and I'm happy to keep it the same for them! I can help administer medications if needed, and can put together multi-step meals with toppers as well!

i could not be happier with greta's care for my pup. not only did i reach out to her last minute, to which she responded so graciously, she was so kind, warm, conscientious, and communicative. i received a steady stream of photos, videos, and updates while i was away, she left notes when necessary, and even made sure to check that i arrived home safely in time for my pet's next walk. i wasn't able to meet greta in advance (my fault, not hers!) but she took my instructions in stride and did such a wonderful job. i will 1000% request her services the next time i travel, and i highly recommend her skills to anyone who needs a caretaker for their pet.

About: ⭐️ Deep experience with anxious dogs ⭐️ Outdoor & at-home enrichment ⭐️ From puppies to seniors ⭐️ Med management💊 I’m the pet parent to a 6-year old rescue mix with high anxiety, so I know how scary and frustrating it is to find enrichment, care, and exercise that isn’t triggering or overwhelming for them. I’m available almost every weekday for walks, potty breaks, games (including at-home for anxious dogs who won’t play outside with others), and cuddles to keep your beloved furry family member happy and tired out while you’re away. Experienced with oral medication (giving it to my own dog daily!), enrichment games (snuffle mats, hiding games, et.), and high-energy activities like hikes and dog parks. My weekday schedule is flexible so your dog can have enrichment time whether you’re away at work or running errands. I currently work from home with flexible hours so any time from early morning through evening is an option for me. My utmost priority is your dog’s comfort, so I will adapt to your pet’s daily routine and your personal preferences for your home. You’ll receive pictures every time, whether we’re walking, snuggling on the couch, or playing games together in the yard or living room.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is that I combine responsibility with genuine attentiveness to each dog’s individual personality and needs. I don’t just “watch” dogs — I actively engage with them to make sure they feel safe, stimulated, and loved while you’re away. I have experience caring for both puppies and senior dogs. With puppies, I pay great attention to how they feel and I’m very patient at caring for them. With senior dogs, I’m patient and attentive to mobility needs, medication schedules, slower walking pace, and comfort routines. I pay close attention to subtle behavior changes that may indicate discomfort. I’m also detail-oriented when it comes to feeding instructions, allergies, and household rules. Clean water, safe environments, and secure walks are always my priority. I provide regular updates with photos so you can feel reassured while you’re away. Most importantly, I treat every dog as if they were my own — with patience, affection, and respect for their unique temperament. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I’m currently home most of the time. This allows me to provide consistent supervision, frequent potty breaks, regular walks, and plenty of interaction throughout the day instead of leaving dogs alone for long periods. Since I have a flexible schedule, I can adapt to each dog’s needs — whether that means early morning walks, midday play sessions, feeding at specific times, or sticking closely to an established routine. Being home also allows me to monitor behavior closely and respond quickly if anything seems off. Because pet care would be a dedicated part of my day, I’m able to give dogs my full attention, ensuring they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for rather than just accommodated. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. In my home, I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment. I remove potential hazards, keep doors and gates secured, and ensure all food and small objects are out of reach. Dogs have a comfortable resting area, constant access to fresh water, and structured playtime. I supervise interactions at all times and never leave pets unattended in unsafe situations. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all instructions carefully — including feeding schedules, medication, walking routes, house rules, and preferred routines. I double-check doors, gates, and leashes to ensure security. I’m attentive to behavior changes and will immediately communicate any concerns. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners feel reassured. I understand that trust is everything when someone leaves their pet in another person’s care. I treat every home respectfully and every pet as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and responsibility.

About: I specialize in cat drop in visits and understand that pets thrive on routine, calm handling, and trusted care in their own home. My approach is observant, patient, and detail-oriented, especially for shy, senior, or medically managed pets! During each visit, I make sure your pet is comfortable, their space stays clean, and their normal routine is respected. I’m attentive to subtle behavior changes, potty/litter box habits, appetite, and overall demeanor, and I’ll let you know right away if something seems off. I provide thorough rover updates with photos, notes on eating, litter box use, and mood, so you can travel with confidence knowing your pet is well cared for. I’m happy to support: -single or multi-pet households -timed feedings and special instructions -oral medication and supplements -senior or shy pets who need a gentle presence If you’re looking for a reliable, low-stress, pet-savvy-sitter, I’d love to set up a meet & greet! About me: Attentive sitter providing detailed updates, medication support, and call care for anxious pets! Schedule Flexibly With Me! I work from home and am able to be mobile for my job. Ideally, I’m popping in to your home to provide check in services, play, and attend to any other needs (food, water refresh, walking). Depending on extent of need I may be able to do weekends as well. I do have a full time remote job as well. I’m doing this in part because I enjoy caring for animals, and also to help cover some recent vet costs! Your Pet’s Safety Is My Priority! I focus on pet safety and comfort above all else. I am able to tailor my service according to the needs of you and your pet. Your Privacy: I understand the need for privacy and care when it comes to your home. About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 5 years old, and they’ve always been a very important part of my life. Spending time with dogs, playing with them, preparing their food and water, and paying attention to their daily routines comes naturally to me because I truly love and understand them. I know that every dog has their own personality and needs, so I always try to make them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owners are away. Whether your dog is playful, shy, energetic, or older and needs extra patience, I will treat them with kindness, attention, and love just like they are my own. I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet, and I will do my best to give both you and your dog a stress-free and reassuring experience. Pets are like family to me — they are like my babies. I always try to follow their normal routine and take the best care of them so they can feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I pay attention to what they need and let them be themselves while giving them lots of love, patience, and care. Whether in my home or my client’s home, I always care for pets according to the owner’s instructions and routines. I make sure they are fed on time, have fresh water, get regular walks and exercise, and receive plenty of attention and care. I take my responsibilities seriously and always do my best to keep pets safe, comfortable, and happy while they are in my care.

About: I cared for my two Chihuahuas for over 17 years, from when they were babies to their senior years. In 2022, we said goodbye and sent them to Rainbow Bridge. Since then, I have been a dog sitter for my friends, caring for their babies with the same love and dedication, while prioritizing safety and careful supervision at all times. I also completed a Veterinary Assistant program, which helps me better understand senior care and medication support. To ensure a calm and comfortable environment, I only care for one dog at a time unless they are from the same household. I stay home full time and try to minimize alone time as much as possible. I understand that being away from family can feel stressful for some dogs, and I focus on creating a calm, comfortable environment where they feel safe and loved. I stay with dogs overnight so they don't feel alone. I also provide regular updates with photos and videos so you can feel reassured while you are away. We live in a house with a patio in a quiet neighborhood. I take them for walks around the neighborhood several times a day and always make sure they are wearing secure leashes. Our home environment is calm and structured to help dogs feel safe and comfortable. My husband and two teenage sons also love dogs and understand the importance of being gentle and respectful with them.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog receives! From the very first walk, it was clear that Ashley has such a gentle touch and a natural way with dogs. Ashley handles my dog with both confidence and kindness, which immediately made me feel comfortable trusting her. My dog absolutely adores her and gets so excited every time she arrives for a walk. It’s obvious that she feels safe, relaxed, and genuinely happy in her care. That kind of bond and trust means everything to me as a pet parent. She also hosted my dog for a full week at her home, and the experience was wonderful. My dog settled in beautifully and clearly enjoyed her stay. It gave me such peace of mind knowing she was in a loving environment where she was comfortable, well cared for, and treated like family. I’m incredibly grateful to have found someone so reliable, attentive, and caring. I happily continue to use her every week for daily walks and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog walker.

  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
