About: I’ve lived in Newport Coast for over 32 years, raised three children, and have spent decades caring for dogs as beloved family members. I’ve had three dogs of my own, each with different needs — including a blind dog, a very active dog, and one who experiences anxiety — which has given me a deep appreciation for patience, gentleness, and consistency. I’m a loving, attentive, and reliable caregiver with a calm presence. I enjoy being outdoors and truly value the one-on-one connection that comes from walking and caring for dogs. Available weekdays. Weekend mornings only, before the sun goes down as needed. Please message me to confirm availability — I’m happy to accommodate when possible. For safety and comfort, I provide services exclusively in your home. This includes dog walks, potty breaks, and drop-in visits. I do not offer boarding or care in my home.

Amanda is amazing!!! She came in the pouring rain to walk my baby. She took the time to allow Maggie to warm up to her. My baby does not let anyone outside the family touch her, but somehow Amanda was able to pet her on the first day. Amanda is RELIABLE and responsible. She shown up on time. She’s responsive and trustworthy. You can tell that she loves dogs and is kindhearted. I’m so fortunate to have found her!!!

I'll read and reread any notes or instructions left for me, so I can care and keep you fur baby safe and sound. About: Hi, My name is Natalie. I am a gentle & caring caretaker here to help ease your pet's worries while you are away. As a veterinary technician, I've supported scared animals through some of their most vulnerable hours. I'm known for being abundantly patient & gentle. I help pets feel more comfortable, more secure, reassured, & cared for. I pride myself in paying strong attention to details, which is invaluable in veterinary care & will provide an extra level of supervision for your pet should anything seem amiss or unusual when I arrive. Frequent jogging is a health goal of mine, so whether your pet is a tiny puppy looking for attention, a geriatric needing special tender loving care, or a strong young dog begging to get some of its energy out, I really can help you meet your pet's needs. I recently moved to Orange County & I'm excited to add pet care back into my routine in my new stomping ground. Jogging a few times a week is a health goal of mine, so I look forward to helping energetic dogs get out & moving! Sharing my time petting, caring for & keeping company those pets who are just not happy to be left home alone will be a very fulfilling part of my day. Very old, very young, large, small, & anything in between, I'm here for them. I want your pets to feel happier, more comfortable, less anxious & more reassured by having me there to break up the monotony of their day. Some animals just feel sad being alone, others need help getting out to the grass for a potty break. Some dogs just have more energy than they know what to do with & will be healthier, happier, more well behaved animals for you when you get home, if they've had an opportunity to let off some steam during the day. Your pet's health, safety, & well-being is my top priority. I've been extremely fortunate to grow up with a wide variety of pets, from dogs, cats, rabbit, guinea pig, hamsters, birds, quail, frogs, and fish. I understand that pets can feel more like members of the family than animals. I strive to give your pets the same level of care and respect that you would if you could be there in the moment.

About: I’m confident your baby won’t miss mommy and daddy while in my care. We’ll spend quality time walking, running, and hiking as much as they’d like, plus plenty of cuddles in between. We can do this as my partner and I both work from home. I know exactly how hard it is to leave a pet behind, so I make sure every pet parent gets regular updates and cute photos to ease separation anxiety (I have one with my pets😉🤣). I’m also a skilled photographer, so you’ll get great shots of your baby having a blast. I’m a huge animal lover, the kind whose feed is entirely animals, including species some people find intimidating. I’ve had all kinds of pets over the years, and every one of them outlived its expected lifespan under my care. I’ve looked after family and friends’ dogs since I was a kid, and for the past several years I’ve spent a month annually caring for my aunt’s elderly dog, who is deaf and blind and only trusts me with her care. Since I’m almost always home and only leave to exercise, I can play and cuddle with your pet all day long. Being athletic myself and having easy access to great trails and walking routes nearby makes me an ideal dog walker. My partner, a former tennis player, is also an expert at fetch at the park right next to us. I work from home and barely go out because I am a homebody who loves cuddling and playing with animals all day. I love running and walking near my place and can do it as much as needed. My place is a third-floor townhome plan, and it’s 1,500 sq ft. I don’t leave my place for three hours a day unless there is a special occasion. We have three cats at home who are shy but sweet and wouldn’t ever bother the dog. They are all fully vaccinated, including rabies. We have many hiking trails, beach walks, and parks near our place, so we can go to entertain the dogs as much as they want:) If you allow us, we can take the baby for a beach day too!😉

About: I am a lover of all animals and am lucky enough to currently have two dogs and a cat! I have always been surrounded by animals- horses, dogs, cats, bunnies and currently have two young and active border collies, Bootsy and Booker that are my world and so much fun!. One thing my animals love is consistency and a regular schedule of doing things and I understand that they need that in order to feel comfortable and safe- especially while their humans are away! I am both comfortable with big dogs with lots of energy or mellow little pups who just need some cuddles. Administering medication via pill or liquid form is no problem as I have lots of experience with pet meds. Your furry friends will be in very responsible and loving hands while you are gone! I work from home and own my own candle company so I am super flexible with my schedule. I can do weekdays or weekends- even last minute is usually no problem! Long term stays are also possible. I would love to set up a Meet & Greet so I can get to know you, your animals and what you expect during my stay. Being a neat person, I will always leave your home clean and I have no problem watering plants as well. Currently, I don't offer boarding at my house, but would be happy to come to your house and stay overnight or drop in for play time while you are away- whatever your current situation calls for. I am a detail oriented person and find the little things important for pets- whether it be walking the same walk they do day in and day out, or adding just the right amount of warm chicken stock to their food. I totally get it and am happy to be there for your animals and you!

About: Hi! I’m Nadia, a lifelong dog lover who truly believes life is better with pups around. I just completed my Pediatric Residency, and spending time with dogs has always been one of my favorite forms of self-care—because who doesn’t love a little puppy therapy? 🥹🐾 As I study for my boards, I’d love to spend my study breaks giving your pup all the love, attention, walks, belly rubs, and cuddles I’d give my own. My medical background has made me naturally attentive and dependable, with an eye for noticing when a pup might need a little extra TLC. I’m also comfortable following specific routines, giving medications, and caring for senior dogs or pups who need some extra care. Whether your dog wants to go on an adventure, play endless rounds of fetch, or just curl up next to me while I study, I’m happy to match their vibe. Most importantly, I’ll make sure your pup feels safe, loved, and spoiled while you’re away! 🐶❤️ I am currently studying for boards, which gives me a very flexible schedule! I’m available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. Spending time with pups is the perfect study break, so I’d love to work around your schedule and your fur baby’s routine! Caring for your fur baby’s will depend on your own environment and your needs. I will always cater to your needs and your fur baby’s needs!

About: Hi there! My name is Charlene and I’ve had experience taking care of dogs since I was 4 from taking care of my family dog Heidi. More specifically I started taking on more responsibilities in pet care when I turned 8. Taking my dog on daily walks, feeding everyday, and picking up their waste in the backyard after I came home from school. Now that I’ve grown up, I have a cat named Georgie which I have learned to care for the last year I’ve had him. Whether it’s a dog or a cat, I am happy to treat them like you would when you can’t. I am currently working remotely. I live in a very walkable neighborhood, and with a park nearby for walks, giving me quick and easy access to always be available to let your furry friend out. I have experience with all dog sizes, but I prefer to work with medium to small dogs. If boarding in my own home, I have a cat who is fine with dogs. He tends to keep to himself when around dogs and won’t attack. I’m currently working from home so I have a lot of free time in between applications to play with your furbaby all the time. If there are any special requests please let me know! My number one priority is keeping your pet safe like I would care for my own pets. I will always keep my clients updated with details to ease your mind and to make sure you know that your loved pet is in great hands.

Polina is a dream come true! I needed a dog walker last minute and she responded to my request immediately and was able to come over the next day for a meet and greet. Oliver, our Frenchie, goes nuts when people come to the door, especially strangers. But Polina seemed to be a dog whisperer, as Oliver barked only a couple of times, and she immediately knelt down and snuggled him. He absolutely adored her! We spent 20 minutes chatting about his specific needs and habits during his walks, and I hired her on the spot to take him for his 30 minute walk. I received a video during the walk, and upon return, she talked with me about how the walk went and mutually agreed she would be our dog walker for all future walks. I can't find the words for how comforted I was knowing Oliver adored her and trusted her. She told me that this job (she does this full time - including pet sitting) is a dream come true for her as she is an avid animal lover but can't have animals where she lives. I highly recommend Polina to care for your pets. Don't hesitate...she's the real deal!!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
