“The Doodles and I really enjoyed our time with Vy. I walked with her the first time as the feeding and walking can be complicated. And Charlie is a puppy and can be a challenge. Looking forward to the next dog walking session.”

“Dawn is awesome! After the third day Smokey didn't even look back at me. He saw Dawn and was was tugging at the leash to go. She even worked with me to split his walking time up when he couldn't make it back home one day. He's an old pup. I would highly recommend Dawn to anyone.”

“Susanna had nice chemistry with my dog. He was willing to go and came home excited. That’s how he acts when he gets a good walk. This has been so helpful for me because I’m not able, and my husband who always walked him before is I’ll and cannot walk him either.”

About: I've taken care of my friends' dogs for years and adopted my own puppy 3 years ago! I've learned a lot about dog training the past few years, including loose leash walking, clicker training, working on reactivity, recall training, and getting through the puppy and teenage phase! I am familiar with positive reinforcement training and balanced training and can help keep up any training you have been working on with your dog while I take care of them! I'm familiar with various collars - regular, prong, slip, gentle leaders, and harnesses. I'm currently taking a work hiatus from being a pharmacist! So I have flexible scheduling during the day & evenings to help take care of your pup! I'm typically at the ceramics studio on Fridays, but if you let me know 2 weeks in advance of the Friday you need me, I can make arrangements. I am here to help your pets feel as safe and happy as they can while you're away. Just let me know their normal routine (no matter how detailed) and I'm happy to keep it the same for them! I can help administer medications if needed, and can put together multi-step meals with toppers as well!
“Emely was great with walking my dog. She made sure to let me know when she started the walk and sent me pictures along his walk! Would highly recommend her and would definitely book her again!”

“Taylor was absolutely amazing with my girl, Molly. We did a couple meet and greets to make sure Molly was comfortable and Taylor was very accommodating. Molly loves to sniff and Taylor had no problem letting her sniff her little heart out on their walks. I loved forwards to the photo updates every day!”

“Michele is our go to dog walker! She takes great care of Lucy and helps us feed her dinner and leave lights on after dark. Michele also takes a lot of photos of Lucy so we know she's doing well.”

“Lauren is awesome, and I am so grateful for the care she gives Mozart. She keeps me looped-in with timing and weather and how the lil Kraken does every day. Professional and helpful. THANK YOU, Lauren!”

About: I’m Lani! 🐾 A lifelong dog lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for pups of all sizes and personalities! I grew up with dogs and have regularly cared for my family, friends, and neighbors’ dogs, including huskies, french bulldogs, english bulldogs, pit bulls, dachshunds, corgis, an aussiedoodle, and my clumsy loving bernedoodle. My approach to pet care is all about positive reinforcement. More than anything, I want your pup to feel safe and happy while you’re away. My schedule fluctuates, I’m a freelance artist, and a lot of my work takes me abroad. However, when I am home my schedule is open for Rover services. Our home has been a lively playground for many dogs. Nearby is a huge park with fields and walking trails for the pups to enjoy.
“Alex, is awesome. He was great with helping out with my Bully Brixston. He was confident, and did a little extra like making sure he had water. Alex, will be my go to guy when we need help.”

“Rachel was great with my senior dog who needed a walk while I was gone for an extended time. She was very flexible on feeding him and took him on a nice long walk. Overall she was great!”

I can’t recommend Teddy’s dog walker, Mengmeng enough! I reached out to her the day before I needed someone, and she responded quickly and was incredibly accommodating. From the moment we met, her professionalism and kind demeanor immediately put me at ease. She took the time to ask thoughtful questions and paid close attention to Teddy’s routine, personality, and little details that made me feel confident he was in great hands. It’s obvious that she truly cares about the dogs she works with and treats them like they’re her own. If you’re looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring dog walker in Irvine, I highly recommend reaching out to her. Teddy and I had such a wonderful experience, and I’ll definitely be using her again!

Angela knows how to put a dog at ease. This was her first time walking Brownie, who’s anxious and distrustful, she approached him gently and offer treats, a pro move that calmed Brownie. She knows how to handle a dog on a leash. My dog can react to strangers, including humans, and she handled him very well when we encountered other dogs on the walk. I highly recommend Angela for dog walking.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
