About: Hi! I'm Jon, I'm in my early 40s, and I live with my partner in a condo in Aliso Viejo, CA. (I would be the sole service provider) Until recently, my #1 hobby was spending time with my dog, Mae. I loved taking her out on nature trails and all kinds of adventures (in 2024, I even took Mae on a family road trip all the way up to Seattle and back!). After having her for 9 years in our home, I sadly lost my sweet girl in September 2025; she was about 13 years old and unfortunately had developed several unforeseen medical issues. There were a lot of long days and nights of administering medications and emergency vet visits until I made the hard decision to have her pass in comfort at home. I'm still healing from the loss: since I worked from home, Mae was my shadow all day, every day. I have used Rover for many years, but I'm easing into the other side of being a service provider. I'm not ready to get a new dog just yet, but I have a lot of love to give and I'm ready to care for your fur baby on a part-time basis. I'm currently job hunting, so my availability is close to 100% at the moment: I can sit in your home, do drop-in visits, or have your dog(s) stay with me. My condo is completely safe for dogs, my neighborhood is quiet and safe, and there are some great walking routes as well as a dog park nearby. I look forward to hearing from you! I'm currently job hunting, but have been working remotely for the past 13 years. Whatever new job I land will either be Remote or Hybrid. Weekdays are best, though I can occasionally care for your dog(s) on weekends as well. With my own dog Mae, I was feeding her twice a day, taking her on 5-6 small walks a day, and making sure her brain was stimulated throughout my work day. In my home: I live in a two-story condo with a loft. Most of the square footage is on the second floor, with a 13-step staircase from the ground floor. For older dogs or those with any hip or joint issues, I have no problem carrying them up or down the stairs. The majority of the main floor has either carpet or large, thick area rugs; the rest of the flooring is wood laminate. I have no problem letting dogs up on furniture or the bed as long as they're fairly clean (especially paws). Your dog will have full access to fresh, cold, filtered water as well as fans/air conditioning, toys and brain enrichment puzzles. I will follow your instructions on what, if any, treats they are allowed to have (and how many). In your home: you make the rules and I will follow them to the letter! I will treat your home and personal property with respect. If I have a question (and I will probably think of lots of them), I will ask you instead of assuming what the answer is. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I have my own car, and I'd love nothing more than to stay home with your dog(s) all day.

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give to every pet. For the past five years, I've been a proud dog dad to my corgi, Juju, which has given me firsthand experience with the daily needs, routines, and personalities that make every dog unique. As a teacher, I am naturally patient, responsible, and detail-oriented. I understand the importance of consistency, clear communication, and building trust with both with pets and their owners. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, going on walks, providing playtime, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you're away, and my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. As a teacher currently on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I am available for overnight sitting Sunday through Thursday nights, as well as drop-in visits and dog walks from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain the routine they are already familiar with. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any other care preferences provided by the owner. During drop-in visits and house sitting, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for.

Rachel was great with my dog Cayden! I messaged her on such short notice & she made time to come meet my dog on Sunday so he could adjust to her & she was able to walk him that Tuesday after. She was very caring and loving with him & my cat. Cayden was very happy in the pictures she sent me from their walk together.

About: Hey there, pet parents! Are you looking for a home away from home for your furry bestie? Look no further! My name is Priscilla, and I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 20 years of experience caring for pups. My soul dog, Finn (a goofy, lovable Goldendoodle), and I would love to welcome your fur baby into our pack! Here’s the tail-wagging deal: 🐶 Doggy Daycare & Overnight Stays: Your pup will be treated like family in our cozy, pet-friendly home. 🚶‍♀️ Daily Adventures: Finn and I hit the pavement twice daily (weather permitting, of course)—but we’re happy to adjust for your pup’s pace. 🌞 Sunbathing & Playtime: We’ve got a small backyard perfect for soaking up the sun and burning off zoomies. 🍖 Feeding & TLC: Whether it’s mealtime, belly rubs, or just hanging out, your pup will feel right at home. Bonus Perks: ✨ Reiki for Animals: I’m trained in animal Reiki (and working on becoming a professional animal communicator!) to help your pet feel calm and balanced. I do offer a complimentary 5 min telepathy check-in for my clients to introduce myself to your fur baby. Just let me know if you would like me to include this before our meet up! Full sessions are available as well and start around $75. 🛒 CBD & Mobility Treats: I also sell Zoomie treats and mobility treats for pain and inflammation—perfect for senior pups or those needing extra comfort. Why Choose Us? 🏡 Work-from-Home Family: I work from home, so your pup will never be alone. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kid-Approved: We’ve got two school-aged kids (part-time) who love furry friends. ⏰ Super Flexible: Drop-off and pick-up times? No problem—we’ll work with your schedule! Whether your pup is a couch potato or an adventure seeker, we’ve got the love, care, and flexibility to make their stay pawfect. Let’s make the world a better place for animals, one wagging tail at a time! Ready to book? Let’s chat! 🐾 Finn and I can’t wait to meet your fur baby! 🐶💕 Pet care is a natural part of my daily life! I work from home running our online business, so I am always here to provide constant care and attention. My own dog, Finn, is high-energy and loves making new furry friends, so we already have an active routine that includes daily walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles. I keep my calendar updated for availability and am typically open weekdays and most weekends. Your pup will fit right into our schedule and our goal is for your pup to feel like part of the family! In my home, dogs are treated like family and have the freedom to roam and relax as they please. My own dog, Finn, is a bit of a velcro dog and loves following us around, so I'm used to having pups by my side all day. We have a cozy, pet-friendly space with a backyard perfect for sunbathing, playtime, and potty breaks (we typically do AM and PM breaks but are happy to adjust to your pup’s schedule). While Finn isn’t crate trained, we want our home to feel like an extension of yours—just let us know your preferences, and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

About: I have had dogs my entire life, and from a young age I have been responsible for their care. I have been dog-sitting for neighbors and friends since I was a little kid. I am most experienced with large and small dog breeds. I currently have a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees named Bowie who loves all dogs and people, and a 10-year-old Chihuahua/Wiener dog mix named Lola who also loves all dogs and people. I also have a 12-year-old Indian Ringneck parrot named Cloudy. Cloudy is kept away from dogs when out of the cage for his safety. I am also experienced with small to medium-sized birds and can pet-sit for them as well. I trained both of my dogs myself, and they are very well behaved. I can care for dogs with all sorts of needs or special care; I follow instructions to a T, and all pets are treated like family in my home. I work part-time, and while my work schedule is not regular, my pet schedule does not change. I wake up at 8:30 every morning, and the first thing I do is walk and feed my dogs and my bird. If I am not home, my mom, who is just as experienced with pets as I am, will be home, and she will walk our dogs. I feed my dogs between 4:30 and 5. I try my best to have a walking schedule of every 2-3 hours. This usually looks like an 8:30 am walk, 11:30 am walk, 2:30 pm walk, 5:30 pm walk, and our last walk is usually at 8:30 pm. At 8:30 pm, depending on the dogs' mood, I will either let them go to the bathroom in the yard or take them for a walk if they have some energy left. My schedule is always open to change given your dogs' needs. All my pets get 24/7 snuggles, but I am more than capable of giving a dog their space if they just like to co-exist. My dogs are given kibble and a mix of Greek yogurt, cooked turkey, and green beans as their topper. Lola struggles with her weight, so we do usually put food up after about 30 minutes to prevent her from eating our other dogs' unfinished food. Bowie has a lot of allergies, so we usually stick to turkey, salmon, and duck-based foods for his sensitive tummy. Bowie has lots of hair, so in the evenings I usually like to brush him while I watch TV, so I am more than happy to brush your dog if that is something they are interested in. Our home is two stories, and we keep my bird Cloudy upstairs, so if there are any issues between your pet and my bird, it is not a problem if we have to keep them separated. Our backyard is more of a cement patio. We have a patch of turf for them to potty, and we have a really high fence with no gaps, so don't fret if your pet is an escape artist; I am readily equipped! Lola used to be a runner before she got chunky, so I am also experienced in safely handling dogs that like to try and slip out the front door. I do walk our dogs on non-retractable leads as I find that it instills the best walking manners. When I walk my dogs, it is usually just around my neighborhood, which is about a 15-minute loop, but I also have excellent walking trails outside my neighborhood that I can walk the dogs on if your dog would like some extra long walk and sniff time. Lastly, we do not crate our dogs, but if your dog needs to be crated, we can accommodate that. Every situation is unique, and every dog has their own needs, and I will handle them with the utmost compassion and understanding.

About: Dog Walking & Pet Care Services I provide reliable dog walking services tailored to your dog’s energy level and needs. Walks can include neighborhood strolls, park visits, potty breaks, and enrichment time to keep your pup happy and active. My goal is to make every walk safe, fun, and engaging. My Experience With Pets I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for dogs with different personalities, sizes, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with playful puppies, energetic adult dogs, and senior pups who prefer a slower pace. I focus on patience, positive reinforcement, and building trust with each dog. Availability I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to the pets in my care. Because I work from home, I’m often available for daytime walks, midday potty breaks, and flexible scheduling throughout the week. This flexibility allows me to give dogs my full attention during their walks. My Approach I treat every dog as if they were my own and prioritize their safety and comfort. Pet parents can expect dependable communication and thoughtful care during each visit. My goal is to make sure your dog returns home happy, relaxed, and well-exercised. I am currently working full-time but have the time and energy to walk and play with some fuzzy friends which is actually a treat for me after a long day of desk work. I have a cat currently that I make sure to spend plenty of time playing with and loving on daily and make sure she has nutritious food and clean water every day. I would do the same for any pets that I accept into my home.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Aliso Viejo. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Aliso Viejo.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Aliso Viejo. On Rover:

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
