“Emma looked after my two cats over the holiday and she was great. Emma is very dependable and sends regular updates. And my cats love her visits!! I definitely recommend her and intend to have her watch over my kitties again.”

About: I have a genuine love for dogs and a natural ability to make them feel comfortable and at ease. I am very comfortable interacting with dogs of different sizes and personalities. Dogs naturally gravitate toward me, and I enjoy giving plenty of affection, gentle attention, and rubs, and with owner permission, the occasional treat. I always take care to respect each dog’s boundaries, routine, and training. My approach to dog care is calm, attentive, and safety focused. I pay close attention to behavior, energy levels, and cues, and I believe that consistency, kindness, and positive interactions go a long way in helping dogs feel secure. Whether it is a walk, a drop in visit, or companionship while you are away, my goal is to ensure your dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for. I am available from early mornings through mid afternoon on weekdays, with additional availability in the evenings and on weekends. I plan my schedule carefully so that pet visits and walks are never rushed and can be handled consistently around my commitments. This structure allows me to be dependable, responsive, and fully present during each visit while maintaining a routine that works well for both pets and their owners. I provide all pet care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and able to maintain their normal routines. I believe caring for pets in their own environment helps reduce stress and allows me to deliver more consistent, attentive care. During each visit, I follow the owner’s instructions closely regarding feeding, medications, litter or potty routines, walks, playtime, and any special needs. I take time to observe behavior, energy levels, and overall well being, and I adjust my approach to match each pet’s personality and comfort level. I always prioritize safety, cleanliness, and respect for the home. This includes securing doors and gates, keeping feeding and litter areas tidy, and ensuring pets are comfortable before I leave. I also provide updates during visits so owners can feel confident their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they are away. I am Pet CPR and First Aid Certified.

About: I used to take care of stray cats and dogs before moving to the U.S. it was a traumatizing but at the same time rewarding experience. I should say that I am considered a beginner to private pet sitting but I love animals and therefore believe that I have the right foundation to learn and grow fast. I’m currently starting at a full time Saturday through Tuesday esthetician program and I’ll only be able to offer services everyday between 5:30 and 10:30 pm. On Sundays and Mondays I’ll be available all day. I don’t offer pet care at my own place, but for any session outside or at a client’s place I’ll probably try to communicate with the pet parent about their pet’s needs, preferences, and potentially high risk behaviors. I’d like my attitude to lean towards customizing the service routine for each pet to keep the experience safe and satisfying for them and the others.
“Rachel is a hero! I was out of town and our other pet sitter had a family emergency and couldn’t come to feed and let our dogs out. I texted Rachel and she responded right away with “yes I can should I come now” I was so relieved. She came to Ace and Bella’s rescue! I will forever be grateful! Thanks again Rachel.”

About: During my senior year of high school I started volunteering at my local county animal shelter. Over the summer, I was working with dogs 8 hours a week in addition to my self managed swim lesson business and swim team practices. I also own and have fostered senior dogs! As much as I love to play with energetic young dogs, seniors are just as great ;) Fish are another specialty of mine! I have been keeping fish since I was six so if you have pet fish they are in good hands :) I am currently a college student and I am on my college swim team. My schedule is flexible and I have a reliable car. I am happy to stay overnight in clients homes. Before I moved to college my dogs had access to a large fenced yard and lived with us in the home. They were taken out on daily walks. Additionally, I have a beagle at home so I am very good at keeping food out of reach. At the animal shelter I volunteered at I would use positive reinforcement with the dogs to help train them.
“Radhika was a fantastic cat sitter for our two cats! She was very communicative and shared adorable videos and pictures of our girls at each drop in. The cats were very happy with her visits, even our more shy cat came up to her each day.”

About: My family has three large labradors, so I’ve grown up with crazy dogs since forever! I know how to handle dogs who have reactive issues on leash because of my own dogs. I’m a college student home for the summer and I’m pretty much free all of the time! I love dogs so I thought trying out Rover would be a fun experience for me! I’m very good at following directions and can do whatever is needed to best care for your dog! I’m open to caring for any size and breed.
About: I have experience with pets(cat, dogs, mouses) from my childhood. In my childhood I read book how to train puppies and I have some knowledge. I think that pets makes people more kind, relax and healthy. I take care about my child and we are or at home or at park near our home or within our community most of the time. At park a lot of dogs are playing together, like at dog park. 5 min away we have dog park too.We are really available to take care about pets(walk, play, feed, care). We are living in big pet friendly community with green grass field which is good to walk with dogs. Our community goes in to the park. Our appartment is so comfortable. If it will be needed we can keep our dog separate from your dog or cat. Our dog is 2 years old. He is calm and delicate, well-being doggy. He is kind and friendly, likes to play. We will responsibly to take care about your cat or dog, because We are enjoining to do that. My son is gentle with cats and dogs. He is my little big helper.
“This is my second time using Daria and she is amazing! She always takes such good care of my cat and keeps my house in shape as well. I totally trust her and would recommend her to anyone!”

About: I grew up on a 10 acre farm in Washington state with several cats, large and small dogs, horses, and chickens. I gained many years of experience volunteering walking dogs at animal shelters growing up with my family and was also in 4H. I feel confident in my ability to care for any animal as I’ve cared for puppies to senior dogs and have experience administering medications. You can trust that I will take your pet care as seriously as I take my own pets care. Thank you for your consideration in trusting me with your beloved pets and home. I’m taking a break from school before going back for my next degree, I don’t have kids besides my two cats so I have a fairly open schedule, we can definitely plan around your pets needs. I’m a very quiet and calm person so my demeanor usually has more timid animals warming up to me in no time. I also have the energy to keep them active with play and engaged in sensory stimulation. I take pride being proactive about cleaning and keeping an immaculate living space and following your specifications exactly.

“Kenya has been great working to get to know my stranger shy chihuahua. My dog is a handful and takes a while to warm up. She's been patient and taking the time to get to know her so she can do overnight in the future”
About: I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. 2 of the dogs are pretty big, one is small. They all have totally different personalities which I love I know how to attend to each of their needs. My pets are my world, and I'm sure you feel the same about your pets. Pets should be treated as family and that's exactly how I treat them. Our best friends. When they're happy, I'm happy. I'll be sure to take care of your pets just like they're my own, giving them all the love and affection. I've had pets for over 9 years. I'll let them take their time on walks, play with them, and happily follow any instructions you have for your pet. I'm happy to take care if any type of pet: big, small, young, old. I'm currently working 5 days a week, excluding Wednesdays and Thursdays. I typically work from 7am-3:30pm. So after 4pm would be the best time for me to come take care of your pets! On Wednesdays and Thursdays I'm free all day! I will keep a constant eye on your pets and follow any instructions you have. I will also provide plenty of updates throughout the visit to ensure your peace of mind!

“Sofiya was absolutely amazing! She did drop in visits at my house in the evening and my cat loved her. She sent me loads of pictures and videos and great updates throughout my trip. She is super communicative and did a great job! Will definitely book again (-:”

About: Hi! I'm Jon, I'm in my early 40s, and I live with my partner in a condo in Aliso Viejo, CA. (I would be the sole service provider) Until recently, my #1 hobby was spending time with my dog, Mae. I loved taking her out on nature trails and all kinds of adventures (in 2024, I even took Mae on a family road trip all the way up to Seattle and back!). After having her for 9 years in our home, I sadly lost my sweet girl in September 2025; she was about 13 years old and unfortunately had developed several unforeseen medical issues. There were a lot of long days and nights of administering medications and emergency vet visits until I made the hard decision to have her pass in comfort at home. I'm still healing from the loss: since I worked from home, Mae was my shadow all day, every day. I have used Rover for many years, but I'm easing into the other side of being a service provider. I'm not ready to get a new dog just yet, but I have a lot of love to give and I'm ready to care for your fur baby on a part-time basis. I'm currently job hunting, so my availability is close to 100% at the moment: I can sit in your home, do drop-in visits, or have your dog(s) stay with me. My condo is completely safe for dogs, my neighborhood is quiet and safe, and there are some great walking routes as well as a dog park nearby. I look forward to hearing from you! I'm currently job hunting, but have been working remotely for the past 13 years. Whatever new job I land will either be Remote or Hybrid. Weekdays are best, though I can occasionally care for your dog(s) on weekends as well. With my own dog Mae, I was feeding her twice a day, taking her on 5-6 small walks a day, and making sure her brain was stimulated throughout my work day. In my home: I live in a two-story condo with a loft. Most of the square footage is on the second floor, with a 13-step staircase from the ground floor. For older dogs or those with any hip or joint issues, I have no problem carrying them up or down the stairs. The majority of the main floor has either carpet or large, thick area rugs; the rest of the flooring is wood laminate. I have no problem letting dogs up on furniture or the bed as long as they're fairly clean (especially paws). Your dog will have full access to fresh, cold, filtered water as well as fans/air conditioning, toys and brain enrichment puzzles. I will follow your instructions on what, if any, treats they are allowed to have (and how many). In your home: you make the rules and I will follow them to the letter! I will treat your home and personal property with respect. If I have a question (and I will probably think of lots of them), I will ask you instead of assuming what the answer is. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I have my own car, and I'd love nothing more than to stay home with your dog(s) all day.
About: My wife and I have always loved pets and we would love to help you provide care for your pets as well! We grew up with pets: cats and dogs, and currently have an Australian Shepherd and a Persian cat in our home. Our dog has epilepsy and our cat is a senior so we have plenty of experience caring for pets with special needs. Your pet will have constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and immediate attention throughout the entire day. Our home is a detached three-bedroom, fenced-in condo that is right next to a small/private park so there are plenty of opportunities for walks and play. Unfortunately we can not accept pets that are not potty-trained. I currently work from home and have plenty of time for walks and playtime throughout the week. Overnight boarding is also available any day of the week. I have a fenced in yard in a quiet community that is right next to a park. I have a senior cat that is not very active anymore and a low energy dog with epilepsy.

I cannot recommend Radhika enough! If you have high-anxiety or special-needs pets, she is the caregiver you are looking for. We were incredibly nervous to leave our two dogs and cat—particularly our Husky, who is a master escape artist—because they have special needs that require strict attention to detail and rigorous safety precautions to prevent them from getting loose. Between nearby busy roads and local wildlife, we needed someone who would take our concerns and instructions seriously. Radhika followed every single one of our complex directions perfectly and completely put our minds at ease. She went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our pets were safe, happy, and meticulously cared for. We are so relieved and thrilled to have found such a reliable, conscientious caregiver, and we will absolutely be booking her again!

Daly was incredible. My family and I were out of country for 2 weeks on vacation. We had never left our dog with anyone before and we were very nervous about it. Daly is very sweet and confident around us and our dog. Our dog was 1year and very high energy at times, but Daly was un-phased by the challenge. She has a lot of experience around animals and it shows. Being on complete opposite times zones was challenging, but Daly sent video, photos, updates and questions along the way to make sure we were informed about our dog everyday. It was absolutely perfect. I have no concerns about recommending her to friends and family and she will definitely be our dog’s go-to caregiver in the future!

We had a wonderful experience with Po! She took great care of our two bulldogs while we were away. She was courteous, reliable, and communicative, keeping us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip. She followed all of our instructions, stayed on schedule, and, most importantly, our dogs absolutely loved her. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring hands. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, dependable sitter.

Sofiya did an amazing job with our kitties. They are shy and they loved her. Sofiya sent daily updates and videos and when we returned home everything was perfect. My cat that hides from strangers heard her voice and ran to the door to see her. I will definitely have Sofiya as our primary pet sitter. I highly recommend Sofiya. Diana

I’m very happy to have found Katelyn for occasional check ins. She is very friendly, reliable and punctual. She did everything exactly how I explained. Her experience as an RVT really gave us peace of mind since we have a diabetic dog thats needs insulin injections and medication. I definitely recommend her; especially if you have dogs with special needs.

I have used Lana to take care of my beloved dog skipper. I would highly recommend her as she is hands-down. The best person you will ever find to take care of your pets. She is unsurpassed in her attention to detail and this is not a job for her. It's her passion if you are in the Laguna Hills area and need someone to take care of your pet. She is the one sincerely Larry Pagliarulo.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
