“Emma was a wonderful help caring for our two kitties while we were gone. I was nervous to leave them in the care of someone new, but she was great! She showed up when she said she would and communicated regularly. We loved seeing the photos of our kitties and updates on how they were doing. We will definitely reach out to Emma for future kitty care.”

“Sofiya was absolutely amazing! She did drop in visits at my house in the evening and my cat loved her. She sent me loads of pictures and videos and great updates throughout my trip. She is super communicative and did a great job! Will definitely book again (-:”

“Celine was such a kind, thoughtful sitter to my 18 year old "old man kitty" Bear. She followed all instructions and he was comfy, fat and happy when I arrived home. She also made time for a thorough meet and greet with Bear.”

About: Hi! I'm Jon, I'm in my early 40s, and I live with my partner in a condo in Aliso Viejo, CA. (I would be the sole service provider) Until recently, my #1 hobby was spending time with my dog, Mae. I loved taking her out on nature trails and all kinds of adventures (in 2024, I even took Mae on a family road trip all the way up to Seattle and back!). After having her for 9 years in our home, I sadly lost my sweet girl in September 2025; she was about 13 years old and unfortunately had developed several unforeseen medical issues. There were a lot of long days and nights of administering medications and emergency vet visits until I made the hard decision to have her pass in comfort at home. I'm still healing from the loss: since I worked from home, Mae was my shadow all day, every day. I have used Rover for many years, but I'm easing into the other side of being a service provider. I'm not ready to get a new dog just yet, but I have a lot of love to give and I'm ready to care for your fur baby on a part-time basis. I'm currently job hunting, so my availability is close to 100% at the moment: I can sit in your home, do drop-in visits, or have your dog(s) stay with me. My condo is completely safe for dogs, my neighborhood is quiet and safe, and there are some great walking routes as well as a dog park nearby. I look forward to hearing from you! I'm currently job hunting, but have been working remotely for the past 13 years. Whatever new job I land will either be Remote or Hybrid. Weekdays are best, though I can occasionally care for your dog(s) on weekends as well. With my own dog Mae, I was feeding her twice a day, taking her on 5-6 small walks a day, and making sure her brain was stimulated throughout my work day. In my home: I live in a two-story condo with a loft. Most of the square footage is on the second floor, with a 13-step staircase from the ground floor. For older dogs or those with any hip or joint issues, I have no problem carrying them up or down the stairs. The majority of the main floor has either carpet or large, thick area rugs; the rest of the flooring is wood laminate. I have no problem letting dogs up on furniture or the bed as long as they're fairly clean (especially paws). Your dog will have full access to fresh, cold, filtered water as well as fans/air conditioning, toys and brain enrichment puzzles. I will follow your instructions on what, if any, treats they are allowed to have (and how many). In your home: you make the rules and I will follow them to the letter! I will treat your home and personal property with respect. If I have a question (and I will probably think of lots of them), I will ask you instead of assuming what the answer is. I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, I have my own car, and I'd love nothing more than to stay home with your dog(s) all day.
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and from a young age I have been responsible for their care. I have been dog-sitting for neighbors and friends since I was a little kid. I am most experienced with large and small dog breeds. I currently have a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees named Bowie who loves all dogs and people, and a 10-year-old Chihuahua/Wiener dog mix named Lola who also loves all dogs and people. I also have a 12-year-old Indian Ringneck parrot named Cloudy. Cloudy is kept away from dogs when out of the cage for his safety. I am also experienced with small to medium-sized birds and can pet-sit for them as well. I trained both of my dogs myself, and they are very well behaved. I can care for dogs with all sorts of needs or special care; I follow instructions to a T, and all pets are treated like family in my home. I work part-time, and while my work schedule is not regular, my pet schedule does not change. I wake up at 8:30 every morning, and the first thing I do is walk and feed my dogs and my bird. If I am not home, my mom, who is just as experienced with pets as I am, will be home, and she will walk our dogs. I feed my dogs between 4:30 and 5. I try my best to have a walking schedule of every 2-3 hours. This usually looks like an 8:30 am walk, 11:30 am walk, 2:30 pm walk, 5:30 pm walk, and our last walk is usually at 8:30 pm. At 8:30 pm, depending on the dogs' mood, I will either let them go to the bathroom in the yard or take them for a walk if they have some energy left. My schedule is always open to change given your dogs' needs. All my pets get 24/7 snuggles, but I am more than capable of giving a dog their space if they just like to co-exist. My dogs are given kibble and a mix of Greek yogurt, cooked turkey, and green beans as their topper. Lola struggles with her weight, so we do usually put food up after about 30 minutes to prevent her from eating our other dogs' unfinished food. Bowie has a lot of allergies, so we usually stick to turkey, salmon, and duck-based foods for his sensitive tummy. Bowie has lots of hair, so in the evenings I usually like to brush him while I watch TV, so I am more than happy to brush your dog if that is something they are interested in. Our home is two stories, and we keep my bird Cloudy upstairs, so if there are any issues between your pet and my bird, it is not a problem if we have to keep them separated. Our backyard is more of a cement patio. We have a patch of turf for them to potty, and we have a really high fence with no gaps, so don't fret if your pet is an escape artist; I am readily equipped! Lola used to be a runner before she got chunky, so I am also experienced in safely handling dogs that like to try and slip out the front door. I do walk our dogs on non-retractable leads as I find that it instills the best walking manners. When I walk my dogs, it is usually just around my neighborhood, which is about a 15-minute loop, but I also have excellent walking trails outside my neighborhood that I can walk the dogs on if your dog would like some extra long walk and sniff time. Lastly, we do not crate our dogs, but if your dog needs to be crated, we can accommodate that. Every situation is unique, and every dog has their own needs, and I will handle them with the utmost compassion and understanding.
About: During my senior year of high school I started volunteering at my local county animal shelter. Over the summer, I was working with dogs 8 hours a week in addition to my self managed swim lesson business and swim team practices. I also own and have fostered senior dogs! As much as I love to play with energetic young dogs, seniors are just as great ;) Fish are another specialty of mine! I have been keeping fish since I was six so if you have pet fish they are in good hands :) I am currently a college student and I am on my college swim team. My schedule is flexible and I have a reliable car. I am happy to stay overnight in clients homes. Before I moved to college my dogs had access to a large fenced yard and lived with us in the home. They were taken out on daily walks. Additionally, I have a beagle at home so I am very good at keeping food out of reach. At the animal shelter I volunteered at I would use positive reinforcement with the dogs to help train them.

About: I’ve been a devoted dog owner for nearly 9 years to my sweet man Enzo, and also helped care for my family’s dog Ziggy, through out his 10 years of life. Through running my cleaning business over the last decade, I’ve also assisted many clients with their pets; from feeding and walks, to giving extra love and attention while they’re away. I’ve volunteered at a local animal shelter and am comfortable with dogs of different temperaments, especially small and senior dogs. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet with someone, and I treat every animal like they’re my own. I currently have a very flexible schedule and plenty of availability for walks, drop-ins, and attentive care throughout the week. Helping with animals fills my cup! Safety and trust are my top priorities. In clients’ homes I respect their routines and follow instructions with care. I love to provide updates and photos for peace of mind, because I know what it’s like to put the trust of your pet in someone else’s hands.
“Radhika once again won our hearts. We returned to find our pup bright eyed and full of energy. Regular check in and updates with pics were always added and much appreciated. Very organized, asked all of the right questions to make sure everything went smoothly. Our pup has diabetes so we really appreciate the added attention to the administering of injections and close monitoring of our little pups diet.”

“It was a great experience this time with Dana. She helped us enjoy our vacation in a more relaxed way, always providing timely reports and many photos that kept us informed about Kiara. The fact that she was able to bring out Kiara's playful side is a great achievement since she is really distrustful of people. So seeing her play with Dana was a real comfort to our hearts, knowing she was in good hands. Always punctual and attentive, I highly recommend Dana. She even left us the toy with which Kiara was playing like a little one. Thank you so much for everything, Dana!!”

About: What sets me apart is the level of care, patience, and attention I give to every pet. For the past five years, I've been a proud dog dad to my corgi, Juju, which has given me firsthand experience with the daily needs, routines, and personalities that make every dog unique. As a teacher, I am naturally patient, responsible, and detail-oriented. I understand the importance of consistency, clear communication, and building trust with both with pets and their owners. Whether it's sticking to feeding schedules, going on walks, providing playtime, or simply offering companionship, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have peace of mind while you're away, and my goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. As a teacher currently on summer break, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I am available for overnight sitting Sunday through Thursday nights, as well as drop-in visits and dog walks from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to maintain the routine they are already familiar with. I carefully follow feeding schedules, walking routines, medication instructions, and any other care preferences provided by the owner. During drop-in visits and house sitting, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, and companionship. I also provide regular updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for.

Sofiya did an amazing job with our kitties. They are shy and they loved her. Sofiya sent daily updates and videos and when we returned home everything was perfect. My cat that hides from strangers heard her voice and ran to the door to see her. I will definitely have Sofiya as our primary pet sitter. I highly recommend Sofiya. Diana

I’m very happy to have found Katelyn for occasional check ins. She is very friendly, reliable and punctual. She did everything exactly how I explained. Her experience as an RVT really gave us peace of mind since we have a diabetic dog thats needs insulin injections and medication. I definitely recommend her; especially if you have dogs with special needs.

I have used Lana to take care of my beloved dog skipper. I would highly recommend her as she is hands-down. The best person you will ever find to take care of your pets. She is unsurpassed in her attention to detail and this is not a job for her. It's her passion if you are in the Laguna Hills area and need someone to take care of your pet. She is the one sincerely Larry Pagliarulo.
Hayley really put our minds at ease when we were away as we trusted her both with our cat and our home! She was reliable, meticulous, communicative and delightful. Our shy introverted cat adores her and it was obvious that Hayley cared very much both about our cat and about doing a good job. We loved receiving the cute photos and videos of our Cat she shared. Hayley is a gem and we hope she will come back next time to help out we are away! Thank you Hayley!

Thank you for always making me feel so comfortable that Jax is taken care of no matter if it’s a check-in or a long trip. Thank you for always meeting him where he is where he wants to be playful that day or whether he’s made a mess in front of his box. I appreciate it all.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
