About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I have owned big dogs (Dalmatian and Golden Retrievers) as well as small dogs (Poodle mix). Taking care of dogs is a privilege because they give so much back to you. I am currently working part time from home with flexible hours so I will have plenty of time to look after your pet. I can adjust my schedule accordingly to fit into your desired needs I have a fenced yard but it would have to be up to my roommates to see if I could house your dog for a period of time
“Rose is absolutely amazing!! She really saved us when we had another sitter quit, mid booking. She is very trustworthy and responsible and great at communicating! We are so happy to have her care for our pets!”
About: I am the Aunt of MANY dogs! I often house sit for my friends dogs and it’s one of my greatest joys. I love taking their dogs out for walks and to play catch and they are sure to always get lots of cuddles I currently model so I have the odd casting to get to and then also do health coaching remotely from home so I have a very flexible schedule especially I dont tend to have pets at my house and prefer to take care of dogs in their own familiar home environment where they can be most comfortable

About: Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to give dogs the attention they deserve instead of squeezing walks into a busy day. Whether your pup is energetic and ready for a long adventure or prefers slow sniff walks and extra belly rubs, I'm happy to match their pace. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to give your pet the attention they deserve. Whether it's a midday potty break, an energetic walk, or a drop-in visit with playtime and belly rubs, I'm happy to fit your dog's routine into my day. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I'll follow your care instructions closely, keep routines as consistent as possible, and make sure your dog gets plenty of attention during every visit. I have experience caring for senior dogs, administering oral medications, and helping post-op dogs when needed. You'll also receive photo updates and a summary after each visit so you always know how your pup is doing.
“Daniel took great care of our dog, Olive, while we were away. His check ins were punctual and he always sent updates and pictures to let us know she was happy and healthy!”

“Janet was great with the pup. She was able to meet up before the scheduled visits for intros and to answer any questions. She was very accommodating and provided plenty of updates while looking after the pups. Would definitely recommend and would be happy for her to look after our dog again!”

“We love Laura! She’s our favorite kitty sitter!! Do yourself a favor and have her take care of your fur babies while you’re away - you won’t worry at all with her in charge!! ♥️🐾♥️🐾”

About: I've had animals in my life ever since I was 7. From birds to dogs to cats. I love animals and love spending time with them. I'm currently working part time in the afternoons during the weekends. My availability for walks is Monday- Thursday at any time. I am available to watch your animal in either your home or mine :) I currently have 2 cats so as long as your pet is cat friendly, my cats are :) I am able to travel to your home as well and watch your pet if that suits more in your interest.
“We had Radhika drop in to walk/feed our pup. This is first time we had anyone come over to take care of him. I was a bit anxious but from the pictures and videos it seems like he really enjoyed his time. Would definitely book again!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong animal lover originally from Brooklyn, New York, and now living in beautiful Southern California. I grew up with cats and have had them in my life for as long as I can remember, so I’m very comfortable with different personalities—from affectionate and playful cats to those who are shy and need a little extra patience. I love dogs and other animals as well! I currently volunteer at a local animal shelter, where I spend time helping care for and socialize both cats and dogs. This experience has taught me how important it is to approach every animal individually and make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I’m a stay-at-home mom, which gives me flexibility and allows me to be dependable when families need help caring for their pets. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet—and your home—in someone else’s care. I take that responsibility very seriously. I’m trustworthy, responsible, patient, and have no criminal background. I will care for your pets with the same kindness and attention I give my own. Whether your pet needs feeding, playtime, walks, companionship, litter-box care, or simply some extra love while you’re away, I’d be happy to help. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members! 🐾❤️ I'm a stay at home mom so my schedule is flexible. Im available in the day and evening times most days a week. I won't work past 8pm. My cats roam free throughout my home, no restrictions. Smokey and zipper eat dry cat food. Zipper and smokey are easy going cats. zipper enjoys play time.
About: I have been providing dog services for the past 6 years on a full time basis. I am attentive to your dog’s needs and I will find a way to be your dog’s favorite person- after you of course! Your dog’s comfort and enjoyment is my #1 priority. There will be eyes on them constantly and rarely is there not a person at the house. I’m dedicated to watching your fur baby I have a fenced yard and multiple controls to keep the dogs in the yard and safe. I provide a safe, fun environment for dogs of all ages, sizes and energy levels. My kids and I actively play and interact with our guests while allowing time for snuggles, cuddles and scratches
“Thalia was awesome! This was our first time using Rover. We literally don’t go on vacation because we’ve been hesitant about leaving our fur babies. Thalia was kind professional and our minds were put at ease knowing our pups would be looked after yesterday. Highly recommend”

“Kaitlyn did a great job dropping in on our cat while we were away. She provided updates regularly and sent us lots of photos. We’ll be sure to use Kaitlyn’s services again!”

About: I’ve always taken dog sitting jobs here and there over the past years. All of my experiences were great and I made awesome connections with the owners! I also had my own dog for 12 years until he sadly passed a few years ago. I have a pretty flexible schedule after 11 AM since I’m a stay-at-home mom! My baby girl will be joining me for any dog walks or pet-sitting gigs, cozied up in her baby carrier. Because of that, it’s important that your dog is comfortable and friendly around little ones. You can feel safe leaving your pet with me, knowing that I’ve already considered everything a pet can get into and the specific environment a dog needs.
“Kenya has been great working to get to know my stranger shy chihuahua. My dog is a handful and takes a while to warm up. She's been patient and taking the time to get to know her so she can do overnight in the future”
About: I had a Chocolate Lab and multiple cats growing up and am now a proud cat mom myself so I know what it takes to care for our furry friends. I do want my own dog eventually but until I feel ready for that I would love to help out where I can for others! I am available a few days a week for walks or drop ins upon request. I am pretty flexible and as long as I have enough notice would be able to help as needed. At this time I prefer to go to your home as I have a cat at home that is not used to other animals. I can feed, play and take your furry friend for walks as needed, etc.
About: 3 bedroom single family home with gated yard. We are a dog family with very little boundaries. Couches, cars, and beds are all fair game. Moose is our 6 year old chocolate lab who spends the day playing, sleeping, and watching the neighborhood from the front porch. He often has four legged friends come stay with us when their parents go out of town. He enjoys it so much our family decided to open up our home to other dogs in need of a loving place to vacation. Open and usually clean house with decent size back yard. Your pup will have plenty of attention from all the neighborhood kids that frequent our home. I am a Firefighter and generally have 4 days off every week so I’m available for walks in the local area. My wife is a teacher M-F. Sleepover dogs have access to a gated back yard with plenty of room to run around and a flat dirt area for them to do their business. Plenty of couch, dog beds, and human beds for them to choose from. Room for a crate if that is more comfortable for them. We are near the Doheny beach trail which is our usually run/walk route. We sometimes hit the dog park off Stonehill. Depending on how active our visitors are I’ve taken them on 3-6 mile runs or hikes. Basically the dogs go where we go.
“Karolina was on time, communicative, and followed the instructions given. I would definitely use her again to watch my pup. It was comforting to know my dog was well taken care of during her check-ins.”

We hired Seren for the first time for drop in visits for our cat for 5 days. She visit our Karma twice a day and provided plenty of photos and updates on how our kitty was doing and what she did during the visit. This was my first time leaving my cat home alone (we normally do housesitting) so I was a little nervous and worried she would be lonely. But Seren provided excellent care and attention, I know our Karma enjoyed her staycation! Thanks Seren!

Isabel took care of our two cats for two weeks while we were away. She did a wonderful job. Both of our cats loved her, and they were happy and relaxed when we came home. She was reliable and caring, and we never had to worry while we were gone. We highly recommend Isabel and will book her again!
Dawn is the best! Even when I was having communication issues with another sitter, she offered to come drop in if needed, which was seriously so sweet. Would 10 out of 10 recommend her for droppings or long-term stays! By far the best sitter we have had since moving to the area. Love this pictures of our pup too!

Let me start out by saying I worry about my pups when I’m away from them! I have a rescue that can be very reactive and it makes me nervous to leave her. I also have a smaller dog that alerts her to anything or anyone that might be approaching which makes her even more anxious. So when I go away I need someone I can count on to make sure things go smoothly. That person is Daniel! From the moment I met him he was attentive, engaged and the pups loved him! I had mentioned my bad experience with my prior dog sitter and he made sure to make our experience with him a great one! At exactly the time I asked him to come I got a notification that he had started the visit. He did exactly what I asked and then was nice enough to send me a text letting me know that everything went great. I got pics of my pups and I could tell from those pictures that I had nothing to worry about.Every time I reached out to him he responded and rather quickly! There is not one thing I would change. He showed up, he loved my pups, he took care of them and made sure my place was secure when leaving. Now the only thing I worry about is people finding out how great he is and getting all booked up when I need him! Seriously if you need someone you can count on and trust, Daniel is your person!
Yeji did daily check-ins for my 15 years old cat while I was out of the country for two weeks. Everything went really well, she communicated well and was able to accommodate additional requests with grace. I highly recommend her and she will be my number one choice in the future when available.

Alison was wonderful with our two dogs while we were away at my daughters wedding. She sent photo updates and cute notes, which gave us total peace of mind. Our pups were happy, calm, and well-cared for when we got back. We will definitely book with her again!

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
