“This is our 2nd time having the honor of Ariana caring for our tiny Yorkie! Our little girl is very picky about who comes into her World! yet with Ariana Minnie gives her the paw of approval! When we returned, she was balanced clean and happy! This little pet is a family member and Ariana feels like family to her! She is sweet, friendly, caring and very cautious with our little Minnie. I hear she handles gentle giants, medium and in between. Minnie is a teeny Yorkie! 5 pounds and Ariana knows exactly what she needs. I don’t worry one bit! Five stars all the way!”

About: I’ve owned dogs for most of my life! I’m super active so long walks don’t scare me! I have patience for all different personalities and accept special requests. And of course, I have so much love for dogs!! I’m currently home for the summer from school! I’m a student at Point Loma Nazarene University but don’t go back until September! I’m working at Hanna’s restaurant part time and my hours are super flexible! I’ve house sat, dog sat, and baby sat multiple times so I’m very familiar with how everything works. As far as other’s homes, keeping it clean and respected is my top priority while getting my task done.

“We had a great experience with Aarthi! She was very communicative, kind, and thoughtful throughout the entire booking. She kept us updated with photos. Hanzo and Yuri seemed very comfortable with her. She also went above and beyond with little thoughtful touches that we really appreciated. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend Aarthi to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter.”

“Great service from Susan! Our previous cat sitter had moved away, so we researched who to go with next. Susan was just what we needed! We scheduled a pre "meet and greet" a few days before our trip. We received daily photos, updates, and she even helped out with a bit of the household tasks (picking up our Amazon packages and taking out the trash.) We'd definitely use her again!”

About: Hello! I’m a dependable and attentive pet sitter dedicated to providing high-quality care for your dog. I have experience with daily routines, leash walking, feeding schedules, and administering basic care. My goal is to maintain consistency and comfort for your pet while you’re away. I take safety seriously and communicate clearly, so you can relax knowing your dog is in good hands. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to take breaks as needed. On the weekends I like to stay close to home. I wouldn’t leave the house for more than a few hours at a time. Your pet will feel like they’re at home. They will receive the same love, attention and care! Any specific needs can be accommodated as well.
About: I have been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old, and as a former veterinary technician assistant with two years of professional experience working with animals, I can ensure attentive, knowledgeable care tailored to your dog’s individual needs. Whether that includes senior dogs requiring gentle handling, puppies in training, or dogs that need additional support during leash walks, I am committed to providing safe, reliable, and personalized care for every pet. I am currently on summer break and also work part-time, which provides me with flexible availability during weekdays to dedicate to pet care. While I am typically unavailable on weekends, I am happy to accommodate requests when possible, depending on schedule compatibility. For pet check-ins and dog walking services, I prioritize establishing trust and consistency by meeting with both the owner and their pet prior to the first scheduled visit. This allows me to become familiar with home access instructions, as well as understand each pet’s individual walking routines, preferences, and specific care needs. For check-ins, I typically meet with owners beforehand so they can walk me through their pet’s routine and expectations for the visit, whether that includes feeding, refreshing water, cleaning their space, administering general care, or simply providing companionship to help reduce stress and anxiety while their owner is away. My goal is to ensure every pet receives attentive, reliable care while maintaining the comfort of their normal routine.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I can remember. I grew up being the personal dog sitter for everyone in my neighborhood. I’ve taken care of dogs of various ages ranging from new born to elder. I absolutely love animals and promise to take care of your pup with the same amount I give my own. I am a full-time college student. I am free Mondays and Wednesdays after 2pm. Tuesdays after 4. All day Thursdays and Fridays. Free weekends if needed. My dad is always home so if I’m not home there will be someone there to be with the pet if it is being sat at my house. I have a huge park by my house and will take them on frequent walks. When I visit dogs at families houses I make sure the dog is fed, pet, snuggled sufficiently, walked, and has enough water. Any special treatment you’d like me to add I will do. I promise to pamper your loved ones.
“This was my first time leaving my cat alone for the weekend and I couldn’t have been more happy with Rachel! She was super kind, thorough, and communicative with me. I will definitely be using Rachel again in the future when needed!”

“Our dog, Bob and Roxy have become so comfortable with Kristie. She is always prompt and reliable that we continue to hire her for drop ins. Thank you for taking such good care of our babies.”

“Absolutely love Randi! Great communication and a very kind heart She was very passionate about taking care of my cat. Not just the normal stuff... feeding, litter box cleaning. But very dedicated to socializing and playing with the cat.”
“Julia was beyond professional and friendly! She was on time to all appointments. Communication was great. Kitty was well taken care of and we appreciate that! We have already booked Julia again! Thank you!”

About: I’m a professional woman, late 30s, no kids, no other pets, non-smoking home, and live in a townhome in Coto. I work from home when I’m not traveling to client sites- I’m a healthcare consultant. I learned about Rover years ago after using it for my own former pets. My dogs: lab/pit mix, and a terrier mix, and two cats- all rescues. I also grew up with snakes, lizards and fish because I have a sister who is allergic to fur, so home-sitting reptiles is not a problem. But as I mentioned, I travel often and don’t think having my own pet is a responsible, caring choice at this time. So, instead, I’d love to take care of your fur babies when I’m not traveling. Because I work from home, you can expect my 24/7 attention. During the day, conference calls can be taken during long walks, or I can work on my laptop from the dog park. Or, I’d love to have them snooze at my feet in my office as I type away. In the evening it’s just Netflix and play. While I don’t have my own backyard, I’m just steps from one of our amazing trails, so frequent potty breaks are easy. I’m comfortable with animals on my furniture or co-sleeping. But I also am comfortable with crating as I did this with my larger dogs. Pets with special needs are welcome. Please supply any special toys, treats, food, and maybe even one of your old tee-shirts to help with the temporary transition. Also, I prefer to do a quick pre-sit meet and greet to ensure that everyone is comfortable, and you’re welcome to come see my home if I’ll be hosting.
“First time using Rover, so wasn’t sure what to expect. I’m happy so far with the app in general but Kalyssa was wonderful! She exceeded my expectations truly 🙌She kept in touch ,followed written and verbal instructions. Kept me updated and touched base with me throughout her time with my Puppers. definitely would love to have her sitting for me again in the future . Again thank you Kalyssa🙏”

About: Hi! My name is Gayane, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I currently share my home with two wonderful rescue cats, and throughout my life I have cared for both cats and dogs of all ages and personalities. Beyond caring for my own pets, I have experience fostering, rehabilitating, and helping homeless and abandoned animals find safe and loving homes. I understand that every pet is unique and deserves patience, kindness, and individual attention. Whether your pet needs a fun walk, playtime, companionship, or simply someone reliable to care for them while you're away, I will treat them with the same love and care I give my own animals. As a pet parent myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. My goal is to make both you and your pet feel comfortable, safe, and happy. I look forward to meeting you and your pets! Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. As a stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. My own rescue cats are part of my everyday life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I believe pets are happiest when their routines are respected and they feel safe and comfortable. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medication (if needed), playtime, and any special routines or preferences. I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and supervision while their owners are away. I also provide regular updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their furry family members are doing well. Rachel took care of our 13 year old Viszla for 11 days with excellence, great care and a personal touch!! We so appreciated all the special care she gave him!! We had peace of mind while being away. Rachel communicated regularly and effectively about his eating, exercise and general well being which we appreciated so much!! Rachel is a dog lover who gave our dog so much love!!! We give Rachel the highest recommendation!!

Mirna has very warm grounded energy! My dog instantly loved her, we both felt very comfortable with her. She took perfect care of my giant goofy dog. Great communication and fast response. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again in the future! Thank you again!

My pups loved Lainie! They can be picky eaters, but they ate for Lainie right away. Lainie took good notes about all of their likes and she is really great with my fur babies. They felt at ease with her, and I trust her walking them too. I plan to have Lainie come back and do house sitting soon.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
