“Amanda taught me how to give IV fluids to my kitty and how to keep him secure and feeling comfy throughout the process. If you have cats or pets with specific medical needs, she is AMAZING and has lots of experience”

“We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! Felicia took such great care of our dogs while we were on vacation, and it gave us total peace of mind knowing they were safe, happy, and well-loved. We especially appreciated the frequent updates and the many photos - seeing our pups having a great time made being away so much easier. Communication was excellent, and it was clear our dogs were in wonderful hands. We would absolutely book Felicia again and highly recommend her!”

“We’re so happy to have met Bradey. We have 2 small malteses. A blind 16 year old (Roxy) and a nervous 4 year old (Bob). Our Roxy gets very anxious and will sometimes have accidents at home. Bradey was greeted with a couple accidents and she helped clean it up. She cleaned up Roxy too. Bob was nervous at first and eventually warmed up to her after a couple treats. She gave us updates throughout the drop in which was really reassuring. She sent us pictures of our dogs and the walks which was great. She did walks with each dog and when I came home from work, they were both so calm. I was almost certain that she may not want to come back as some of our sitters have found Roxy to be overwhelming but instead she sent me the kindest message that she would love to drop in or house sit for both my babies anytime. We have booked her for our upcoming trip. We appreciate Bradey so much. Thank you for caring for our babies.”

“I had to go back to work and I was so worried about my fur babies being left alone all day. Linda has been so great checking in on them for me. She is truly the best!”

“Rachel took care of our 13 year old Viszla for 11 days with excellence, great care and a personal touch!! We so appreciated all the special care she gave him!! We had peace of mind while being away. Rachel communicated regularly and effectively about his eating, exercise and general well being which we appreciated so much!! Rachel is a dog lover who gave our dog so much love!!! We give Rachel the highest recommendation!!”

About: I’ve owned pets for over 15 years and have professionally taken care of dogs and cats for over 7 years. I am known to be reliable, caring and patient. I work my full time job at home but am available for visits or walks during lunch hours and anytime after 5:30. I am available on weekends any time as needed. I have a 75lb Staffy/Bulldog who is well trained/extremely sweet. She is well known by my neighbors and can be considered as the doggie president in my condo community. She’s on a weight loss diet, and I can help your pets with that, or give any medications to your pets if needed.
“Maggie is awesome! Our boys LOVE her - even the super shy one. She is very flexible and agreed to check in on our boys on very short notice - hugely appreciated. We have already booked her for another trip we're taking next week. Couldn't be happier.”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals over many years, including birds, cats, dogs, fish and others. I’m also the go-to caregiver for my son’s animals whenever needed. Friends know me as a dedicated animal lover and often reach out for help or advice in different pet and wildlife situations. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals in need and have rescued and cared for crows, hummingbirds, sparrows, finches and other wildlife over the years. I'm semi-retired and do volunteer work on Mondays. The rest of the week is fairly open so I can be flexible with your requirements. Typically, I stop by in the morning and then again in the late afternoon or evening depending on your preference. I believe pet care should involve more than simply feeding and leaving. I take time to make cats feel comfortable, cared for, and less lonely while their owners are away. During visits, I greet and talk to the cat, refresh water with clean bowls, provide meals according to instructions, and spend quality time doing whatever the cat enjoys most — whether that’s playing, brushing, petting, or simply sitting quietly nearby. I also check and clean the litter box as needed. Visits are typically about 30 minutes or longer, depending on the cat’s personality and level of interaction. Some cats enjoy active attention, while others simply appreciate a calm, reassuring presence. At times, I’ll sit and read quietly so they feel relaxed and accompanied. For evening visits, I can turn on small lights (or follow any specific household instructions) and turn them off during morning visits. Before leaving, I tidy up toys, make sure feeding areas are clean, return everything to its original place, and ensure the home is secure and locked. I also like to send occasional photos or updates so owners can see that their pets are safe, happy, and doing well.
“Erica is wonderful! She takes care of our dog, cats, and turtle when we are out of town and they all love her. After the visit, Erica always writes how the visit went, how our small zoo is doing and sends pictures of everyone. :) They all love getting pets and cuddles from Erica when she visits!”

About: have been around animals my entire life and have a lot of hands-on experience caring for them. Growing up, my family had three rescue dogs that I helped raise and care for while my parents were busy with work. Watching them grow into perfect, well-behaved family pets has been incredibly amazing to watch. In college, I help care for two cats and two guinea pigs, and this past school year I also pet sat for my neighbor’s two dogs. Being around animals has always been one of my favorite parts of the day. No matter how busy I am, coming home to pets instantly makes my day 100x better!! I genuinely love spending time with animals, making sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved, and treating them with the same care and attention I would give my own pets. Pet care fits very great into my schedule. I recently started a part-time job, but my hours are flexible and it will not take away much of my availability during the week. I enjoy spending time with animals before and after work, and I am happy to work pet care into my daily routine. As a college student home for the summer, I have a fairly open schedule and can dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pets. The only dates I am unavailable are June 27–28, when I will be out of town for the weekend, and July 1–6, when I will be attending a family wedding. Outside of those dates, I am available and excited to provide reliable and wonderful care for your doggos! 🐾 My top priorities are safety, comfort, and making sure each pet feels loved and secure.! I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, so I do my best to keep their schedule as consistent as possible. I pay close attention to feeding instructions, exercise needs, medications, and any special requests from owners. I also make sure pets always have access to fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention and affection. I also treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own. I know how important trust is when leaving a pet in someone else’s care, so I make communication a top priority and am happy to provide updates, photos, and check-ins while you’re away. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free throughout the entire experience. 😄
About: Hi! I’m Tianna :) I’ve had animals in my home for all my life, from dogs and cats to ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, and even a pig. I have years of hands-on experience from taking care of my own animals as well as helping out friends and family. I am a student athlete who is very flexible and pays great attention to details, and great with communication. I understand every pet is unique and requires different needs. Anything from specific routines, someone patient and calm, or extra playtime! My goal is to make your pet feel safe and loved while you are away. Your pets comfort always comes first! I am currently on summer break looking for a summer job, so I have plenty of free time to take care of your cute fur babies! There is a lovely park right across from my place to walk and play with your fur babies, I could also walk them around your place just let me know what route to take. Anything you need, I will do my best to make it happen!
About: Hello! My name is Samira. I am a reliable and caring dog lover with lifelong experience with dogs. I have grown up with dogs as pets since I was a child, which has helped me understand their needs, personalities, and behavior. I am very comfortable handling dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I used to also volunteer at an animal shelter, where I took dogs for walks, helped socialize them, and assisted with the adoption process. I take pride in being patient, attentive, and making sure every dog feels happy, safe, and well cared for. I currently have a full time job during the day so I am available anytime after 3:30pm on weekdays and anytime (morning-evening) on the weekends. Unfortunately, I won't be able to bring dogs to my home, but while caring for them at their home I will be sure to be mindful about treating your home respectfully while making sure to be loving companion for your pet.
“Thank you again Avery. You are Ellie’s new Bestie. I think we have some topical in the kitchen. Weird that she’s an indoor cat. Wetter neighborhood than the East County. Going to check your March and April calendar. See you soon.”

“So impressed with Zhenni! She bonded with our 11 year old Shih Tzu and took great care of him for three days. She made sure Charlie ate his food, refilled his water and took him for walks twice per day. She even sent several pictures of Charlie each day which gave me comfort knowing Charlie was in good hands. I highly recommend Zhenni and already scheduled her to watch Charlie again!”

About: I have over two years of experience caring for dogs of different ages and personalities. I can handle energetic walks, look after puppies, and help senior dogs feel comfortable. Family, friends, and neighbors have trusted me with feeding, walking, playtime, and basic care. I am attentive to details, build quick connections with pets, and always prioritize their safety and happiness I am currently available any day of the week at any time, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings. My schedule is flexible, so I can easily adjust to meet your pet’s needs. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved in my care. I follow your instructions carefully, maintain a clean environment, and provide plenty of playtime, walks, and attention. Their safety and happiness are my top priorities.

“Our dog, Gary, loves Kelly! We booked Kelly for drop-in visits for a weekend and she was great. We received photos and updates daily. When we returned home, Gary was unphased! We could tell his routines were kept and he received plenty of play time and love while we were gone! Looking forward to booking Kelly again.”

About: I live in Lake Forest (Orange County) in a very dog friendly neighborhood. I have had and loved dogs my entire life. I grew up pet-sitting my friend’s dogs until my family finally got our own Cockapoo (Toffee) who we raised as a puppy. I often visit my extended family who has larger sized dogs such as Dobermans, Boxers, Rottweilers as well as small dogs such as Pomeranians, Terriers and Chihuahuas. I also have experience working with multiple shelters and dog rescues where I helped to clean dog kennels, set-up and scheduled adoption events, and walked dogs of all shapes and sizes! I have experience watching dogs of all sizes, from Chihuahuas to Pit Bulls. I've never met a dog I didn't love. You will often catch me saying hello to them on the street. The services I offer will be walking, drop-ins, house sitting, overnight stays, backyard/park play time, and feeding.
“Ashley is the most loving, and accommodating sitter I could ever ask for. She took care of our cat every day for almost three weeks. She was very kind to buy cat treats and toys on top of the routine tasks, our cat loves her!”

Annie has been the most amazing fur-baby sitter we have had! She not only communicates well but is also detail-oriented, which is deeply appreciated. She is so great with both our rescue cats and bonded quickly with both! Her pictures and videos bring us great joy and we are comfortable knowing we can be away from home without worries. We already booked Annie for our next trip!💖
We feel very lucky to have found Chen. She is incredibly responsible and trustworthy. During every visit, she kept us updated with photos and detailed notes, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We will definitely hire her again to care for our cat whenever we are out of town.

Maggie was an incredible support in the care of our elderly cats while I was gone for an extended period of time. Prompt, excellent communication, fun updates and pictures, and particular attention to one cat who has been having health struggles. I felt completely at ease knowing she was here. Highly recommend and would rebook in a heartbeat. Thank you!!

I’ve booked with Michele a few times now and she’s always great! I appreciate her communication and the care she takes in accommodating my dogs’ needs. I have a pretty shy dog and she was great with letting him warm up to her. I’ve been very happy with her service!

My cats were well taken care of by Mya. As they are my babies, I would only have someone take care of them who would make sure to follow the feed/ water directions thoroughly, give them love and attention, as well as clean the litter thoroughly every visit. I plan on using her for house sitting through Rover in March with my shepherd included in the bargain.

Shahla was incredible! She watched my cat and rabbit for about a week and sent me constant pictures, videos, and updates. I only expected her to clean the litter box and feed them, but by day 2, she was playing with them and giving them love. I was surprised because both animals are very shy to new people, but they must have sensed her natural instinct and warmed up to her immediately. I’m so grateful for her and will definitely use her again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
